00:00It's giving here comes the bride but make it feral. I'm Allison and I'm Kristen and we're the directors behind
00:05Entertainment Weekly's digital covers and here's how we collaborated with Jesse Buckley to turn a bridal procession into a bridal
00:12possession. For our cover shoot for the bride the idea was to take the iconic imagery of Frankenstein and subvert
00:17it with a punk feminine twist to convey that this is now the bride's story. Our original idea was to
00:22create an eerie yet artful bridal procession. Fast forward to the weekend before the shoot we got word from Jesse's
00:27team that she loves to collaborate so we hopped on a zoom.
00:30And as we're walking her through the concept she lights up and says wait what if we brought in dancers
00:34but they're punk rock and they're just going berserk around me almost like a manifestation of female rage to which
00:41we said hell yeah even though we only had 72 hours before the shoot. So we kicked it into high
00:47gear and found a team of six incredible dancers to be the inner demons waking up the monster inside of
00:52our bride. This shoot's a perfect example of how working closely with talent on the creative can really dare we
00:58say bring the concept to life.
