00:00This was not Walton Goggins' first rodeo.
00:02I'm Kristen.
00:03And I'm Allison.
00:04We're the directors behind Entertainment Weekly's digital covers.
00:07And here's how we got Walton Goggins on a mechanical bull during our cover shoot for Fallout Season 2.
00:12Action!
00:13So we wanted to do a mechanical bull shot forever.
00:15Like, forever, forever.
00:17But we never had the right talent to pitch it to.
00:19That all changed when we found out we'd be shooting with Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, and Ella Purnell.
00:23Walton was super down because, as it turns out, this was not his first rodeo.
00:26No, no, no.
00:27This was his second rodeo.
00:29On set, he told us a story about how he's ridden an actual, real, live, frickin' bull.
00:33Because if you didn't know already, Walton Goggins is a certified badass.
00:36We shot at 60 frames per second, so the final shot has a really artful, cinematic vibe to it.
00:41The entire vibe of the shoot was Western meets kind of a decrepit Vegas.
00:45So we paired the bull visuals with a jukebox for Aaron to dance at and a spin-to-win wheel
00:50for Ella to bring the whole scene together.
00:52At the end of the shoot, you already know we had to hop on the bull and give it a
00:55try.
00:56It was, in fact, my first rodeo.
00:58We love a Yeehaw moment.
00:59We love a Yeehaw moment.
