00:00What you want?
00:00You're in my house, fatso, and you didn't ask permission.
00:03Do you know who you're talking to?
00:07Now get out of my cell.
00:11If you boys knew what's about to happen to you, you'd leave now.
00:22So you just go wherever you want, whenever you want?
00:25Everyone's always jealous.
00:26The series begins with Jack Reacher, who is very tall, strong, and silent.
00:30He enters a small town called Margrave.
00:33I'm sorry.
00:34I'm not good at math.
00:35Don't take a 40% tip.
00:36What the hell you want, asshole?
00:38I'm talking to you, stupid.
00:40Listen, man.
00:41I'm just having a bad day.
00:43Won't happen again.
00:55Don't move, don't move, don't move, don't move.
00:57Slow.
01:00Heads.
01:01Turn around.
01:03You're under arrest.
01:04For murder.
01:05Officer Roscoe steps in and calmly tells Reacher to cooperate.
01:09He listens and walks to her.
01:10The cops find only a passport, toothbrush, cash, and a war medal on him.
01:14But still, Baker tells him he is under arrest for murder.
01:17Just then, Chief Detective Finley arrives.
01:20Reacher is moved to a conference room for questioning.
01:22Finley soon enters and questions Reacher about a recent murder, but Reacher remains silent.
01:27Victim was male, 30s, big guy.
01:30You know who this man was.
01:33I'm not about to waste the rest of my afternoon.
01:35I don't need a lawyer.
01:37Because I didn't kill anybody.
01:38At least not recently.
01:40This Reacher fella.
01:41No online profile at all.
01:42The only proof Jack Reacher exists is the fact that he's sitting in that room.
01:46What if I'm thinking I'm sitting across from a man who doesn't mind killing and who has the knowledge?
01:51You'd be right.
01:52Shooter was someone who knows firearms well.
01:54Bullets were small caliber, 9mm, 95.
01:56This was someone who knew how to conduct a quiet, effective kill.
01:58Your psycho isn't suddenly going to be rational enough to know he has to hide the body,
02:02and your meticulous shooter isn't going to do a sloppy job with roadside cardboard.
02:05You said the victim was big, so most likely his feet were sticking out, and that's how he got spotted.
02:09I got off the bus from Tampa and walked to town.
02:11You get on a bus in Tampa with $212, a toothbrush, and a French war medal.
02:16I also went to a diner, ordered peach pie, and never got to eat it because I was arrested for
02:21murder.
02:21If I can confirm you were on a Greyhound bus at that time, you're cleared.
02:25Law says we need a warrant.
02:27Reacher, why does Trouble always seem to find you?
02:30In a flashback, Reacher and his brother Joe have just moved to a new home on a military base in
02:35Okinawa.
02:35Their mom, Josephine, tells them to put on their jackets and go make friends with the other kids.
02:39Let's just go home.
02:43It's my fight.
02:44It's never just your fight.
02:46Trouble does kind of seem to find you.
02:49Back to present, Reacher is in a jail.
02:51Roscoe pours coffee and offers some to Reacher.
02:54Roscoe mentions that the police have not found anything suspicious on Reacher's fingerprints,
02:58which means he is quiet and clean in their system.
03:01Suddenly, Finley comes rushing out with news.
03:03They got a lead on the phone number found on the victim.
03:05Roscoe leaves with Finley.
03:07They meet Charlie Hubble.
03:08Her husband, Paul Hubble, seems tense, but invites them to his modern, expensive home.
03:13At the house, Finley presses Paul about a murder.
03:15Someone was shot with Paul's phone number found on the body.
03:18I did it.
03:19I understand I don't have to talk or anything and then I got a lawyer and all that, but I
03:22did it, okay?
03:23What was his name?
03:24I don't know.
03:25You killed a man you don't know?
03:27Yeah, that's right.
03:27I told you I did it, okay?
03:29I'm not about to rehash all the details.
03:32Double barrel shotgun blast right to the face.
03:34Yes, I did.
03:36Your life's about to get very complicated, Mr. Hubble.
03:39Reacher, come with me.
03:41Not until you let these zip ties come off.
03:43Get the boss cutter.
03:46You guys recycle.
03:48Finley asks Stevenson if he knows something about Hubble.
03:51Stevenson says Hubble was at a family party all night, far from the murder scene.
03:55He does not know why Hubble confessed or why his number was found in a shoe at the crime.
03:59Reacher and Hubble are about to be taken to jail.
04:01On the bus, Reacher and Hubble were the only prisoners.
04:04They sat across from each other.
04:06After a long drive through dark country roads, they finally reached Warburton County Jail.
04:10But a Samoan fella come to here last year.
04:14Meth dealer.
04:14Might be a little tight on his shoulders.
04:16Drop them drawers.
04:17Bend over and spread.
04:19That weapon's not fitting inside me or any other human being without sending them to the hospital.
04:23So if you think you can perform the inspection without getting seriously injured, go for it.
04:35Instead of being in a holding cell for people waiting for trial, they were mixed in with extremely dangerous prisoners.
04:41Just then, four prisoners approached their cell.
04:43The leader, a man named JD, looked directly at Hubble and started teasing him in a threatening way.
04:48There she is.
04:50Look, she's got pretty little shoes on.
04:52I said give them to me.
04:54Good girl.
04:55Now, there's just one more thing I want from you.
05:00What you want?
05:01See, you're in my house, fatso, and you didn't ask permission.
05:04Now I'll count to three.
05:06Do you know who you're talking to?
05:10Now get out of my cell.
05:14Reacher and Hubble walk through the yard.
05:15He remains cool, and Hubble sticks close, clearly afraid.
05:19Hubble confesses that he is not a real criminal.
05:21He is terrified because the people he works for threatened his whole family if he ever betrayed them.
05:25Reacher listens but stays detached.
05:27When a group of gang members starts eyeing them, Reacher heads to the bathroom, and Hubble follows.
05:32In the shower room, Reacher sees the gang approaching.
05:35A brutal fight breaks out, but Reacher handles them violently, breaking bones and smashing heads.
05:44If you boys knew what's about to happen to you, you'd leave now.
06:11Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
06:14If anyone asks, you've been here the whole time.
06:22Next day, Reacher and Hubble are released.
06:24Outside, Hubble joins his wife while Reacher walks over to Roscoe.
06:28She offers him a ride.
06:29In the car, Roscoe shows him surveillance footage proving he was in Tampa at the time of the murder.
06:34She invites him to dinner, and without hesitation, Reacher says yes.
06:37But I'm gonna need some new clothes first.
06:40Don't you miss your family?
06:41They're all dead.
06:42Except for my brother, Joe.
06:43So you just go wherever you want, whenever you want?
06:47Everyone's always jealous.
06:48So I'll check out the town for a while and see you in a bit.
06:50Now don't go getting yourself arrested for murder again.
06:52Reacher enters a local barbershop, where the elderly Barber Mosley is making a sandwich.
06:57Reacher asks for a shave.
06:58As Mosley starts shaving him, Reacher comments on how perfect the town looks.
07:02Mosley credits the Kleiner Foundation.
07:03While being shaved, Reacher notices the same black truck parked outside.
07:07Kleiner Jr., known as K.J., stands beside it, staring in.
07:11His cousin Dawson joins him.
07:12He wipes the shaving cream from his face and marches right up to K.J. and Dawson.
07:16You wanna dance a Tom Burrito with me?
07:18Hell, I'll dance.
07:19I'll talk to you, beauty.
07:20You want me to lead, or?
07:21Reading something interesting just this morning about some charges brought amongst the major Jack Reacher.
07:26We don't forgive as easily in Margrave.
07:29Watch your back, Mr. Reacher.
07:34He arrives at the police station parking lot, where Roscoe and other cops are gathered.
07:38Roscoe tells Reacher that another body has been found nearby.
07:42The medical examiner Jasper explains the details of the second victim, a John Doe shot in the back of the
07:47head while running away.
07:49The first victim remains unidentified, with mixed dental records and swollen fingertips from an allergic reaction.
07:55Reacher studies photos carefully, noticing details like an oblong scar on the palm.
08:00He realizes the victim is his brother, Joe.
08:05We were wrestling.
08:07I pinned him against the stove.
08:08I didn't know my mother had just turned it off.
08:11That's how my brother got this scar.
08:13What was your brother doing in Margrave?
08:15I don't know.
08:16You're being smart with me?
08:17I'm being straight with you.
08:18Hell, no wonder Sharon left you.
08:20You keep my wife's name out of your mouth.
08:22You keep my wife's name out your f***ing mouth!
08:27I'm going to, okay?
08:29You're messing with the wrong man, I'll tell you that right now.
08:31Do what I say, Reacher.
08:34Please.
08:35In the car, the atmosphere is tense, as Reacher stares out the window, absorbing the shock.
08:39He tells Roscoe and Finley he thinks his brother mentioned Blind Blake for a reason, and that he feels he
08:44has to do something about it.
08:46Reacher's tone turns cold and deadly.
08:48I guess I'll find everybody responsible, and kill every last one of them.
08:51Reacher walks away angrily, ignoring everyone calling after him.
08:55Roscoe is instructed to go after him.
08:57Suddenly, he steps into the street and is almost hit by her car.
09:00He firmly states that he is heading to Hubble's house, and is prepared to use force to get the truth.
09:04Roscoe eventually convinces Reacher to get in the car.
09:07They arrive at Hubble's house, and are welcomed by his wife.
09:10Reacher tells her that his brother was murdered, and that Hubble's phone number was found on the body.
09:14Just then, their two young daughters come into the room, greeting Reacher and Roscoe.
09:18Their mother gently sends them off to bed, while Reacher silently observes his surroundings.
09:22He then asks to use the restroom, and she directs him through the kitchen and down the hallway.
09:27Reacher and Conklin are finishing up their visit at Hubble's house.
09:30They thank Hubble's wife for her time.
09:32Outside, Reacher's mood shifts.
09:33He tells Roscoe something is not adding up.
09:35First, the glasses.
09:37Hubble's wife said, Tally wore them, which triggers a memory.
09:40In prison, someone pointed Reacher out before an attack because he was wearing glasses.
09:44Now Reacher realizes the attackers were not after him.
09:47They thought he was Hubble.
09:48It's an agrimony burr.
09:49They're growing tall grass all around here.
09:51We call them hitchhikers because they stick on you, and they go for a ride.
09:54Still some reason they were on his laces.
09:56I told Finley the shooter was someone who knew firing was well, but it was more than that.
09:59Gun had a silencer on it, which makes even close range work inaccurate, but he got a kill shot.
10:03The shooter came through here, waiting for Joe.
10:05This area would have been darker.
10:07This is where he hid.
10:08The shooter wanted to be close.
10:10Maybe it was personal.
10:11Someone takes your life, it's always personal.
10:12What'd he do for a living?
10:14Last time we spoke, he was working at Homeland Security.
10:16That's interesting.
10:17What department was your brother in?
10:18Don't know.
10:20Reacher decides to leave and find a motel.
10:22Roscoe offers him a ride, but he declines.
10:24On his way, three drunk locals corner him in a parking lot, looking for trouble.
10:28We just want to talk to you.
10:29There's two Sixers' worth of empties around your car.
10:31You've been waiting a while.
10:32Well, it's the wrong day to ask me to humor your bullshit.
10:35Hey!
10:37You're about to get your ass kicked.
10:39No.
10:45What the hell just rolled into Margrave?
10:48After quickly dismantling the group in a short but brutal fight, he walks away unharmed.
10:52There has been another murder, this time, Police Chief Morrison.
10:55When Reacher and Roscoe arrive, they see the scene is worse than anything.
10:59Morrison was nailed to a wall with six spikes through his arms,
11:03two piercing near his wrist bones, and he had a cut on his cheek.
11:06Reacher thinks he came down south looking for peace and quiet.
11:09But instead, he has found four dead bodies, or maybe five if Hubble is included.
11:14At the emergency town meeting, Teal announces that he has appointed himself Chief of Police.
11:18But the crowd reacts with anger and doubt.
11:20Y'all had him in jail!
11:21Why'd you let him go?
11:22Yeah!
11:23Mr. Reacher has a rock-solid alibi.
11:26I have faith in Chief Detective Finley.
11:29I have faith in our new Chief of Police.
11:32Teal's trying to frame the Morrison hit as a revenge killing.
11:35Just sent me off to chase my tail.
11:37You're one of those conspiracy nuts.
11:39Guys are the kind of money and power Kleiner wields a railing angels.
11:43Give us cover while we work the rail angles.
11:44Like Joe's rental car.
11:46I'll call you when it start up.
11:47I don't have a phone.
11:48Get one.
11:49I'd like to offer my apologies for your arrest.
11:53My condolences for your brother.
11:54We'd be happy to keep you updated on the investigation.
11:57Just leave your contact information with the department before you head out.
12:00I'm not leaving.
12:01Back at the house, Charlie is scared, but she trusts Reacher.
12:04With her husband gone, she needs to protect her daughters.
12:07When Reacher arrives, they are told to pack.
12:09Picard is on the way to take them into protective custody.
12:11Reacher gives her a burner phone and assures her this is what her husband would have wanted.
12:15She breaks down.
12:16Realizing the truth, Hubble is probably dead.
12:19There is no time to mourn.
12:20They need to run.
12:26We're on the move.
12:28It's not safe anymore.
12:29Let's go.
12:29I'm not ready.
12:30Let's go now.
12:32Hey, I'm Picard.
12:34Told you I need my own gun.
12:35The family said he can't get the FBI officially involved yet, so I'm going to take a few personal
12:39days to watch the family myself.
12:41What about you?
12:42I'm going to go see that guard Spivey at Warburton.
12:44He won't tell you anything.
12:45Depends on how I ask.
12:46Reacher heads to Warburton to find Spivey, the prison guard who set up Hubble.
12:50Whoever paid Spivey is likely the one behind everything.
12:53He might be the key to cracking the case.
12:55When they spot Reacher, they pull guns and try to force him into a car.
12:59But Reacher quickly figures out they want him alive and will not shoot.
13:02You don't want to draw attention firing outside a crowded bar.
13:18A nearby cop shows up, but the attackers disappear before they can be caught.
13:23Reacher comes back, hurt but calm.
13:25Roscoe patches him up with superglue while they talk about what went wrong.
13:28Reacher admits the plan did not go smoothly.
13:31Finley's annoyed that he acted alone, but Reacher says Spivey would never have fallen for
13:35it if Finley had been part of the setup.
13:37New information surfaces.
13:38Joe Reacher was working for the Secret Service, a branch under Homeland Security.
13:42Finley cannot find the exact details, but the agency handles everything from fraud to child
13:48exploitation. Since Hubble specialized in currency, they figure counterfeiting might be
13:52the connection. Reacher starts putting the pieces together and realizes Spivey is still
13:57the best lead. But after the ambush, Spivey's likely skipped town.
14:00Reacher heads to Spivey's house, hoping to find a clue, but it is late and the records office is
14:05closed. He plans to look in the morning. Roscoe tells him to rest instead.
14:09They drive to the bar. Roscoe changes clothes to not look like a cop and gets Reacher a
14:14clean shirt. At the bar, they talk and listen to blues music. One song reminds Reacher of
14:19his brother Joe. They dance together, even though Reacher said he does not dance.
14:23They open up about their past, and Roscoe talks about her parents dying, and after that
14:27being raised by a family friend named Gray, and how he taught her to be a good cop.
14:31Reacher says Joe was the only family he had left.
14:45The next day, they see that someone tried to break into Roscoe's house during the night.
14:49Footprints show the intruder was careful and professional.
14:52They're gonna kill me? Could have been here for me. My car was parked out front.
14:56Looks like they plan on coming back. I'm really gonna need a gun.
15:01I know you're scared, but I'm... Scared?
15:03It's natural. You think I'm some poor scared little girl? I'm not scared. I am pissed.
15:09You want a gun? People around here know I have this thing. Use it wrong or it gets back to
15:12me.
15:16Your house isn't safe anymore. Pack your bags.
15:22Never trust a weapon you haven't personally test fired.
15:25Finley calls and says they have identified the dead man who was found with Reacher's brother Joe.
15:29They all rush to the morgue.
15:31The medical examiner gives them the identity of the mystery man found with Joe.
15:34His name is Pete Jobling.
15:36He was a truck driver for a company called South Freight Shipping.
15:39The medical examiner says he had too much bad gas in his body,
15:42probably from breathing in car exhaust over the years.
15:45Pete was 43, married, and lived in Atlanta.
15:47He had no criminal record, just a traffic issue in 2018.
15:51But something strange shows up.
15:53The law firm that helped him was very fancy.
15:55Too good for a truck driver. That seems suspicious.
15:58Roscoe gets a call from the Secret Service.
16:00A woman named Molly Beth Gordon says she worked with Joe.
16:03At first, she is excited, thinking Joe is on the line.
16:06But Reacher tells her the truth.
16:07What position did Joe hold in the Secret Service?
16:10Director of the Office of Investigations.
16:12He assigned his current case to himself. Nobody knew about it.
16:15Was there a specific division of OI that Joe was heading up?
16:18He ran our anti-counterfeiting department.
16:21Joe told me that he put a stop to all domestic counterfeiting a while ago.
16:27I can try to get his files for you.
16:30The hard copies only.
16:31Shouldn't I tell his superiors?
16:32Absolutely not.
16:34So we tell no one until we have a better understanding of what we're dealing with.
16:37You sound just like him.
16:39Talk soon.
16:40After the call, Finley tells Jack that he was right.
16:43This is about counterfeit money.
16:45Hubble worked at a bank and handled money.
16:47That cannot be a coincidence.
16:49Reacher and his team are still trying to figure out
16:51who is behind all the trouble in Margrave.
16:53Since Teal does not know that they suspect him,
16:55they decide to play along and pretend they are doing something else.
16:59Roscoe will act like she is just trying to catch the bad guys
17:02who broke into her house.
17:03Finley will secretly visit a jail guard named Spivey,
17:06hoping to get more answers.
17:07Back at the police station, Roscoe talks to Teal.
17:10Teal acts like he is in charge now
17:11and tells Roscoe to look into ex-convicts
17:14that Morrison once put behind bars.
17:16Teal thinks one of them might be getting revenge.
17:18You keep me posted.
17:20You were with Finley this morning?
17:23I was.
17:23My cousin Charlie is not picking up her phone.
17:26Just wondering if you know something I don't.
17:27This Reacher guy is running all over everybody like...
17:30Stevenson, a moment.
17:35Mr. Spivey?
17:41All the police!
17:42Wait!
17:43I'm sorry.
17:44What was your first name again?
17:46Brian.
17:47What was the date that delivery truck hit you?
17:49I made up a story so you'd see me.
17:51Now get me your file on Pete Jobling.
17:52Get out of my office.
17:54Pull up Jobling's file now.
18:01Staple.
18:04Caused any problems you wish I finished strangling you?
18:07Listen, man.
18:08You should have told us you were a cop.
18:11Roscoe meets with Reacher at a restaurant called Jolene's
18:14and tells him what she found the dead trucker worked for a company named South Freight Shipping,
18:18which was linked to another company, Kleiner Industries.
18:21When the trucker got into trouble, Kleiner helped cover his legal bills.
18:24Reacher says he checked out Spivey's house and learned that Spivey had left town.
18:28But Spivey had made many calls to Kleiner Industries, so the trail leads to Kleiner.
18:33Reacher tells Roscoe he plans to sneak into Kleiner's building to find clues,
18:37even if it means breaking the rules.
18:39Roscoe warns him that breaking the law could cause problems for the investigation.
18:43When they arrive at Kleiner's office, they see there are no security cameras,
18:47maybe because the company wants to keep things hidden.
18:49Mr. Kleiner meets them and says he knows little about the murders,
18:52just some rumors from the local diner that are not very reliable.
18:55We're just looking for some clarification as to your relationship with these men.
18:59Truck drivers drive too fast.
19:01They get all amped up on energy drinks.
19:03That's for Mr. Spivey.
19:04You said he called my company?
19:05They're just making plans to grab a beer afterward.
19:07My intention was never to insult you, Mr. Kleiner.
19:10My intention is to conduct my investigation in any manner I see fit.
19:14I mean, the people of this town, the other members of the police department that want to help you.
19:19This evidence trail you're following, it's a waste of time for you and for me.
19:24Leave it.
19:25You don't tell me what leads to chase and how to chase them.
19:28I will put my foot up your ass until your heart stops.
19:35The group is also trying to understand what Kleiner is doing with his big farm.
19:40They notice he has been getting a huge amount of animal feed,
19:43much more than needed for a normal farm.
19:45This makes them suspicious,
19:46thinking Kleiner might be hiding something or running a secret operation.
19:50Reacher is warned by his friends that even though Kleiner looks like he might be involved in the crimes,
19:54they cannot just rush in and attack him.
19:56They have to be careful and smart,
19:58or they risk messing up their investigation.
19:59Reacher decides to find Spivey because if Spivey talks,
20:03he can reveal who is behind all the trouble.
20:05He plans to meet Spivey at the Blue Cat, where Spivey feels safe.
20:09Reacher will go alone so they will not suspect him as a cop,
20:11and the bad guys will not run away.
20:18You know Tanner Spivey?
20:19You don't need anyone asking about his business.
20:26There's some Spanish, guys, man.
20:27Real fast.
20:30He drives off in his fancy Mustang and notices one car following him.
20:34Reacher quickly speeds off, and they continue unaware.
20:37He's leading them into a trap.
20:41He's leading them into a trap.
21:01Finley learns that Hubble has not worked at the bank for a year and has been lying to his wife.
21:06Then they hear about a burned-out car found near a quiet rural road.
21:09They think it could be Joe's missing car.
21:11It was set on fire, using a strong chemical to destroy any evidence.
21:15But rain came and washed away most of the damage.
21:17To find out if it is really Joe's car,
21:19they try to check the car's ID number by cleaning the rust using ketchup and salt.
21:23Is Joe's car what?
21:25I think so.
21:26We can send photos to forensics.
21:28Old army trick.
21:29Salt for abrasion.
21:31Make a great metal cleaner.
21:32And you put that in your body.
21:34Tastes good.
21:35South Americans got to Spivey before I did.
21:38Found them stashed in their trunk.
21:39Seven bodies since you set foot in my town.
21:41They charged me, and they were armed.
21:43Fine.
21:44They decide to hide the bodies instead of letting the police find them,
21:47because they do not trust anyone else to control the investigation.
21:51Roscoe sees that the bullet wounds are in the backs of the bodies.
21:54She realizes Reacher shot them as they were turned away,
21:57not charging at him, like he told Finley.
21:59Reacher simply says he had the chance to stop them, and he took it.
22:02She asks Reacher what really happened in Baghdad.
22:04Reacher tells her that he was searching for a missing soldier
22:07when he noticed a group of young boys playing soccer.
22:10Whenever they'd see me, they'd wave.
22:12I wave back.
22:14Three men from the village were abusing the boys.
22:16They could turn themselves in to Iraqi police, or they'd answer to me.
22:19I was ready.
22:22You have a problem with me killing people who hurt children?
22:25Because I want to know the kind of person I'm working with.
22:27I guess I don't.
22:29Afterward, Roscoe remembers something strange.
22:31When she asked Mosley what business Kleiner was in,
22:34he said trucking, real estate, and chemicals,
22:36but never mentioned farming or agriculture.
22:38Even though they had seen a big shipment of animal feed,
22:41they head to a hotel and ask for a room.
22:44Roscoe checks in using the name Officer Eudora Welty.
22:47Reacher pays with the cash he took from the men they killed.
22:50They plan to visit Pete Jobling's wife early the next morning
22:53to learn why the killers of Jobling also wanted Reacher's brother dead.
22:56Reacher warns Roscoe to stay alert and avoid staying in predictable spots,
23:00because sharpshooters might try to take them out from higher floors.
23:02What are you doing?
23:04The unlikely event someone tracks us here,
23:05this won't keep them out, but it'll slow them down.
23:07What if the maid busts in?
23:09She'd be a very strong maid.
23:10I know half a dozen sharpshooters that could take us out on the 15th floor.
23:14Molly Beth.
23:15Uh, sorry for calling so late.
23:17I hope I didn't wake you.
23:18My flight lens at ADL at 5 p.m.
23:20Can't meet you there.
23:21Too many cameras at the airport.
23:23You two must have been close if you let them bore you with stories about me.
23:26Top to bottom, everyone respected him.
23:27A real lead by example kind of guy, you know?
23:29But he said you were a good man.
23:31You didn't take the people easily, so you must be special.
23:35Uh-huh, I should get back to work.
23:37Um, I will see you tomorrow.
23:39We didn't order room service and we don't need housekeeping.
23:41Anybody who tries to come through that door, shoot him.
23:43The next morning, they go to Pete Jobling's house
23:46and say they are police officers wanting to talk about Pete.
23:49Roscoe wanted to tell Jobling's mother about her son's death,
23:52but Reacher stopped her.
23:53They explain they want to ask about recent truck hijackings at the family company.
23:57She says they can go to Pete's wife's house for investigation.
24:00They go to Mrs. Jobling's house and tell her that her husband is dead,
24:03but she does not seem to care about the reason.
24:05She shares that she warned Pete many times that his actions would catch up with him.
24:09She suspected he was stealing from his company and from Kleiner.
24:12She put up with a lot because of their relationship,
24:14but on the night Pete was killed, she did not know who he was meeting.
24:18Finley shares the vine check results.
24:20The car was rented and found at a motel under the name Ron Hasse,
24:23which Reacher knows was one of Joe's fake names.
24:25That means Joe was likely at that motel before he died.
24:29Reacher and Roscoe hurry to the motel, hoping Joe left something behind.
24:33The motel worker tells them Joe had left a briefcase and a garment bag,
24:36but someone claiming to be Ron Hasse picked them up just 20 minutes earlier.
24:40The man was medium height and possibly Hispanic.
24:43Reacher realizes they are too late, but knowing Joe,
24:46he figures Joe would have hidden important stuff somewhere unexpected.
24:50They search the room and find the garment bag.
24:52No way.
24:54Cover!
25:11Mateo!
25:24you made them follow you because you had joe's note so you'd stay alive i was thinking when joe
25:30died there was almost no one left in the world i cared about and then i met you
25:35finley arrives and asks what they found reacher says they were attacked they think someone at
25:40the police station gave the bad guys the information maybe stevenson finley is surprised but agrees
25:45stevenson acted strange they call the numbers one is william bryant an economics professor at
25:50princeton and another is stephanie castillo at columbia but they find it strange to link
25:55government agents to the crime roscoe worries about going to tennessee because molly beth is
25:59arriving soon reacher calls neagly a trusted private investigator who has helped him before
26:04neagly agrees to help and they plan to meet molly beth at the airport but when they arrive
26:09molly beth is not there and reacher feels something is wrong well she must have missed
26:13us and walked right back no one misses me when they walk by we need to split up you take
26:17the
26:17stairs you take the elevator
26:34reacher and the others drive away still shaken by molly's death the radio blames a crash on
26:39mechanical failure and mentions coast guard patrols being cut due to budget issues but reacher and his
26:44team know there is something more sinister going on they feel guilty for leaving molly's body but
26:48staying would have put them at risk suddenly reacher tells them to stop the car he sees a dog tied
26:54up
26:54with a tight chain on someone's property the chain is cutting into the dog's neck doesn't deserve this
26:59told you to stay off my property let's see how you like it take the dog to a no-kill
27:06shelter then drop
27:07me off at hubble's after rescuing the dog he goes to hubble's house to get a new car because their
27:11old
27:11one has bullet holes he uncovers the car and to be honest i have no idea what brand it is
27:16but it surely
27:16isn't a mustang so be sure to let me know in the comments guys sometime later they agree to meet
27:21at
27:21the police station reacher is clearly upset he blames himself for getting molly beth involved and feels
27:26guilty that she died because of it two men are laughing and joking about their past their fun
27:31stops when they see reacher they call him a war criminal and mock him look it's the war criminal
27:40you know uh you and my friend emmet here you actually got something in common both play college
27:45football they kicked me off what for being too violent are you just an insecure spoiled rich boy
27:54hiding behind daddy's money you knew i'd come after you when i saw what you did to roscoe and you
27:58knew i'd come in here and cause a problem that would most likely get me in trouble that little cock
28:03i never liked you dawson don't make me prove it son put it down anytime you want to dance since
28:13the moment this man arrived at margrave there's been nothing but violence if you keep digging for
28:17water under the outhouse you ain't gonna find nothing you can drink junior and the boys were just
28:21minding their own business when this guy came in and started tearing up the place roscoe take reacher
28:25outside see you soon junior roscoe is angry and shocked she just found out that teal fired her
28:31finley promises roscoe he will talk to teal and try to fix things roscoe refuses to give up her gun
28:36even though roscoe lost her job as a cop she is not done investigating they decide to follow joe's plan
28:41to solve the case but some leads like the professors and the memphis angle are not helping joblings garage has
28:47nothing useful either the only thing left is to check gray's files reacher remembers gray gave roscoe
28:52a special gun a desert eagle a year before he died when they check the gun's box it is empty
28:57reacher
28:57find nothing at his house or the station then reacher remembers gray got his haircut every week
29:02even though he had very little hair which seems odd later the barber gives reacher a message gray left
29:08for him gray said he was proud of roscoe and wanted reacher to have this message if he ever came
29:12looking
29:13gray checked all the tax returns for the kleiner fund which is supposed to be a charity but the
29:17money going out does not match the money coming in the charity gets a lot of money but only gives
29:22it
29:22to a few small town businesses and groups neagly found something important but cannot talk openly
29:27on the phone she wants to meet reacher for dinner earlier than planned because she does not trust calls
29:32they discuss the case of jimmy dupree wilkes an epa investigator killed at home they see the cases are
29:37connected and dangerous how's it going big fella 10 years together and special investigators i know
29:42what you think and you knew i'd come to a bistro because my mother was french it's got the biggest
29:47sign let's go i'll fill you in i haven't eaten yet the jw on your brother's punch list was an
29:54epa

30:00also work those steel things that's what they did to my brother you're gonna kill a whole lot of people
30:05aren't you already started he and his partner are going to take us to meet the ci low-level hitman
30:10who might know who was hired to kill will but the pollution seemed to hit hardest at chester arkansas
30:15so that's where we go these people are connected and stone cold killers you know given your size
30:21why are you so big genetics roscoe arrives with news that could mean another murder they talk about
30:28officer gray's death the mortician said gray had a cut on his head from falling while drunk but now
30:33they wonder if gray was actually hit by something else because the cut looks like it was made by a
30:37diamond shaped object the medical examiner zooms in on the injury and finds tiny cuts that match that
30:42shape the investigation is getting harder and more complicated you pick up micro lacerations which can
30:48often show the shape of the object causing the injury kind of look like a diamond damn right it does
30:56miss conklin you come to clean out your desk
31:02now they know you know something i know that old bastard killed gray i gotta get you out of town
31:09you can't show your face of margrave now this is officer o'coyne they see their files are incomplete
31:15and decide the next step is to break into kleiner's office after hours to find the proof they need to
31:20expose the conspiracy though it is risky and there are no security cameras it is an illegal search
31:25but they feel they have no choice meanwhile someone finds a lead on who killed the epa agent investigating
31:31kleiner and promises not to go after teal without help reacher and neagly are given a ride back from
31:36the police officers who helped connect them to the informant already got a call from stevenson saying
31:40teal wants to warrant out for rascal's arrest can't trust stevenson i lost it no apologies remember got
31:46a lead on a shooter who took out an epa agent digging into kleiner when the time comes i'll hold
31:51him while you hit him bye reacher bye resko when we get to the precinct we'll go through the alias

32:21do not mess with the special investigators planter forced that cop to kill us odds are he hired the
32:28viking too i'm gonna head back to margrave do me a favor and walk away then the guys who killed
32:33your
32:33brother and tried to kill us see what i can find out about the viking finley is set to break
32:37into
32:37kleiner's office to uncover crucial evidence hoping something important will emerge from the shadows
32:45guess you're not pulling all the strings huh kleiner reacher examines the pictures finley has
32:49managed to obtain of kleiner's injuries they realize that the way kleiner was killed using a brutal method
32:54called the venezuelan butterfly cut meaning the killers are likely from venezuela while they are
32:59discussing the case finley receives a message from the chief summoning him to the police station when
33:04finley arrives the chief informs him that the planner has been murdered and his body was found in his
33:09office finley asks if the forensic team has arrived and the chief confirms that they are already there
33:14and working finley says he will go to the crime scene still think my dad's guilty easy easy you
33:21went after my father for murder don't get in my office and then hold off going to the crime scene
33:27just yet till things cool down i'm doing you a favor i'll call you back in the game soon enough
33:32picard takes roscoe to paul's wife's house and tells her that from today she will stay with her and
33:37take care of her he advises roscoe that the place is safe but warns her that if she ever feels
33:42any danger
33:42she should take everyone and escape through the basement after dinner roscoe talks with paul's
33:47wife at night when she suddenly looks out of the window and notices a car in the forest roscoe
33:52immediately alerts paul's wife instructing her to take the children to the basement and as soon as
33:57she hears roscoe's voice to run toward the forest
34:20the scene then shifts to reacher and finley who are still following the truck after traveling some
34:25distance the truck stops in front of a hotel at night and kleiner's nephew goes inside reacher
34:30and finley wait for a while before moving closer to the truck reacher climbs on top of the truck and
34:35tries to tear open the roof to see what is inside kleiner's nephew comes out again and checks all
34:39around the truck after he returns to the hotel reacher tears open the roof only to find the truck
34:44completely empty with no cargo inside reacher wonders why the empty truck is driving around in the area
34:49finley admits he does not have the answer they decide to contact the two professors again as they
34:54should have returned by now reacher calls one professor but is informed by the assistant
34:58that the professor was murdered as soon as he returned from europe that day i'm this assistant
35:03my condolences thank you professor castillo yes now do everything i'm about to tell you if you
35:11still want to be alive by the time i get there roscoe takes paul's family to a restaurant during their
35:16conversation roscoe tells paul's wife that her husband quit his bank job just one year ago paul's
35:21wife responds that she knows everything and that her husband never hide anything from her roscoe
35:26reminds her that when they first met she had said she didn't know anything about her husband's work
35:31paul's wife explains that at that time she said what she thought was right because she felt that
35:35lying would protect her children then she shares with roscoe how their life was ruined recounting how
35:40one day her husband received a call from kleiner asking him to meet when paul first meets kleiner
35:45kleiner tells him that he has some work for people like him and wants paul to join his company and
35:51work with them he assures paul that he does not need to worry about money because he will earn more
35:55than he can imagine paul asks how he can be of help and kleiner explains that he has many clients
36:01who
36:01deal with large amounts of money and wants paul to manage these transactions however kleiner first
36:06wants paul to visit one of his client sites with him he tells paul that if he likes the work
36:10he can
36:11continue but if not he is free to leave are these all racehorses mostly retired now these are animals
36:17that are used to running as hard as fast as they can and they revolt and then one day they
36:22just stop
36:24because they accept that they're trapped they know there's nothing they can do to escape their fate
36:28that money that you moved today you helped me launder millions in illegal tender and then you
36:34sent me the evidence i know what you're thinking you want to run just like all the horses in here
36:39want
36:40to run let me tell you something no place is safe i can't do this i'm going to leave you
36:46in here for
36:47a while so that you don't run off and do anything stupid paul don't gnaw at the gate
37:01please please please help me this is what happens to you and your family if you don't do what you
37:07are
37:07told paul did what he was told and they killed him when reacher steps outside the police station
37:13he notices a man watching him reacher then meets the professor who tells him she was working with
37:18his brother joe she explains that whenever joe needed to understand anything about the economy
37:22he would come to her she reveals that the most important paper for printing fake notes was arranged
37:27by joe so that all the papers were printed through one company however after some days joe discovered
37:33that fake notes were also being handled in georgia reacher realizes that they had misunderstood the
37:37situation all along they thought the notes were printed in georgia and then distributed across the
37:42u.s but actually the notes are printed elsewhere and then brought to georgia you find out where
37:47they're getting the paper to do it and you will stop whatever joe is trying to stop how are you
37:51going
37:51to take down whoever's doing those painfully major jack reacher 110 special investigations retired
37:57my brother joe reacher worked in secret service you can look him up i need you to make sure she's
38:02protected until you get a phone call from me and only me sir yes sir
38:32stevenson and his wife emma are filled with fear they admit they never imagined feeling unsafe in
38:37their own hometown they mention that finley has been missing and is not responding they have tried
38:42contacting paul and charlie but both have vanished it is unclear if they are in hiding or if something
38:47worse has happened to them the couple starts talking seriously about leaving margrave behind they
38:52discuss moving to tupelo for a new beginning and to be closer to family especially since emma is
38:58pregnant in margrave mr kleiner's funeral is happening a speaker says that even though kleiner
39:03only had a son and nephew as real family he treated the whole town like his own they say he
39:07was a good
39:08man who died too soon how'd you think you doing pay my respects how would you like if i sliced
39:13you up
39:13just like you sliced him take a step back son well there will be two kleiners in that grave i'll
39:19see
39:19you around finley just then finley gets a phone call after listening finley tells reacher that it
39:24answers one of their important questions when reacher asks which one finley replies that it is
39:29about officer stevenson he explains that stevenson was involved in the fake money operation and has
39:34now been killed just like the others who were part of it teal strikes a harsh blow to finley and
39:39reacher
39:39he fires finley saying he is not capable of handling the job and blaming him for the disorder and the
39:44deaths of officers he also threatens reacher ordering him to leave the crime scene or face arrest
39:48you got one minute to leave my crime scene or i'm taking you in so he gets rid of me
39:54without
39:54having to drop another body i know you're angry i am too first i'm gonna ask the last cop and
40:00margaret
40:01for lunch reacher tells baker he plans to break into hubble's house that night and search for evidence
40:06tying finley directly to the crime baker supports the plan meanwhile while finley lets stevenson's parents
40:12know of his passing reacher gets to work he finds the nearest army surplus store and buys camouflage
40:17paints boots and weapons he is going hunting and the trap is set he even has the advantage of the
40:23weather as the truck pulls up that night dawson and other men exit dressed in those white latex suits
40:44a viewer work within county sent us this video of his basement flooding
40:49oh
40:57union weston hamilton orchard hill greenville

41:10uh
41:21uh
41:25uh
41:26uh
41:45He suddenly understands the whole secret.
41:47He calls Roscoe to tell her that he now knows exactly how they are laundering the money.
41:52They cannot find special paper to make fake money, so they found another way.
41:55Instead of using new paper, they take real $1 bills and wash the ink off to make the paper blank
42:01again.
42:01Then, they print new $100 bills on that clean paper.
42:04The new $100 bills look old and worn, so no one suspects because real new ones have special magnetic strips.
42:10They use something from Animal Feed they bought in large amounts to help wash the ink off without damaging the
42:16paper.
42:16It is a smart way to make fake money using real money's paper, and Roscoe is impressed.
42:21Reacher and Finley meet at Judy's house, but it has burned to the ground.
42:24Judy left the week before visiting family.
42:26They decide to head to the truck driver's parents' house again to search the garage for evidence.
42:31Finley finds an air conditioning box, just like the ones he used to drive around in.
42:35They find it full of money and now have the evidence they need to take to the FBI.
42:39The next thing to do is go to Picard's to meet up with Roscoe, who is still watching the Hubble
42:43family.
42:44Finley gets a head start, and Reacher will meet him there as he gathers up the evidence.
42:48When the former MP reaches the house, he calls Negri.
42:52She thinks she found the Viking.
42:54An FBI agent named Nitmo closed the case about the EPA agent killed near the river in Arkansas.
42:59He said it was a burglary, and the man was spending more money than he earned.
43:03Nickname of the hitman hired to kill our EPA agent.
43:05But his old partner is still with the Bureau. We can question him.
43:08Picard.
43:09How the hell did you know that?
43:10Gotta go, Neely.
43:11Once he enters the house, he finds Picard, KJ, and Mayor Teal with guns drawn on Finley.
43:16Picard shows his true colors by pointing a gun at Finley's back.
43:20Where's Roscoe?
43:21Oh, my girl's doing just fine.
43:24No way you're letting them walk away from this. They know too much.
43:26You're smart.
43:27Pretty sure they'll keep quiet after they watch what I do to their dad.
43:30You killed him already?
43:31He's on the run.
43:32Pretty soon, those Venezuelans are gonna give you the same necktie they gave your daddy.
43:36I killed my father. And so, I killed Joplin. And I killed your brother.
43:45You shot Joe. Dawson kicked him after he was dead.
43:48We'll make it look like the two crooked Reacher brothers were working with an out-of-town cop running drugs
43:53or guns to something nefarious.
43:55You're gonna take Picard to wherever Hubble's holed up, and you're gonna bring him to me.
43:59If I don't get a call from you by 6 a.m. saying Hubble's in custody, you can't even imagine.
44:05Picard, now clearly a traitor, is told to watch Reacher and make sure he follows orders.
44:10Reacher does not resist for now. He stays calm and asks to make a quick stop for a map and
44:14some time to think.
44:15Using a mix of smart thinking and understanding of human behavior, Reacher figures out where Hubble is likely hiding.
44:22His reasoning is sharp and makes Picard uneasy.
44:24Picard starts to question how Reacher can know someone so well, but Reacher stays calm and sure of himself.
44:29Picard tries to keep control by reminding Reacher that his voice is the only thing keeping Charlie and her daughters
44:34alive.
44:35Reacher points out that if Picard kills him, he will lose any chance of finding Hubble.
44:39Over three hours away, but still close enough, he feels connected to his wife and kids.
44:43He can't just stare into something and get inside a man's head like that.
44:47Coffee?
44:48Black?
44:50Oh, God!
44:52Better be right about Augusta.
44:58He lived tougher than I thought you were.
45:01Low tire pressure. You should check it out.
45:04Keep driving.
45:05You've been with me the whole time.
45:07Pull over.
45:08And if you're thinking about throwing a tire into my direction, think again.
45:13You shoot me.
45:15I ain't the only person you're killing.
45:16But if you shoot me, you're never fine in Hubble.
45:19But I don't have many options right now.
45:21We raise our guns up over our heads.
45:23We stand up and face each other, hands up.
45:26Yeah, got it.
45:29Three.
45:32Find motels within three miles of Augusta bus station.
45:35Your input is being processed.
45:37He knows Hubble would avoid using credit cards to stay hidden, so he must be traveling by bus and paying
45:42with cash.
45:43Hubble explains that he reached out to the federal agents because he sensed the operation was getting more dangerous.
45:48Joe Reacher, using the fake name Mark Salas, was the one who responded to Hubble's tip.
45:53Hubble also discovered that Pete Jobling was stealing from the operation and put him in touch with Joe.
45:58Even though Hubble hoped that helping the feds would protect his family, he now knows the Kleiner's plan to kill
46:03everyone involved.
46:04Reacher realizes there is no deal to make.
46:06The only way to win is to stop them all.
46:10Somebody's texting you, buddy.
46:12Duck and cover.
46:17Reacher came in crashing like a freaking Terminator.
46:20And not to mention, he actually looks like one.
46:35They grab guns from the police weapons locker, pistols, and rifles.
46:40There are many armed guards outside the factory.
46:42Kleiner Jr. expects Reacher to attack with guns.
46:45And that is exactly what happens.
46:46Reacher pours fuel around a loading bay to start a fire.
46:49Finley lights the fire with a cigarette he keeps as a backup.
46:58You're only job is to get your kids out of there.
47:00Don't let anyone stop you from doing your job.
47:02If I'm going to die, I'll go on a flavor country one last time.
47:10What the hell is going on?
47:18Everybody in here now!
47:35Take over here!
47:46Come on!
47:51Picard, I thought you were dead!
47:54Not yet!
48:17We gotta go get Reacher!
48:18He'll be okay.
48:19How do you know that?
48:19Because he's Reacher.
48:45It's over.
48:46It's over.
48:53People from the state police and the feds ask questions about what happened in Margrave.
48:58But Reacher does not want to answer any of them.
49:00He is a drifter, someone who moves from place to place, and he does not want to stay or get
49:04involved in more problems.
49:06He tells Roscoe that maybe she should run for mayor, and they share one last kiss.
49:10Finley decides to leave too.
49:12He says he quits the police and is going back to Boston.
49:15Before Reacher leaves Margrave for good, he visits the place where his brother Joe died.
49:19His mother gave him his grandfather's war medal before she died, a medal for bravery
49:23in the face of danger.
49:24Reacher buries this medal at the spot where Joe died, as a way to honor his brother's
49:28brave effort to try to fix the world's problems.
