00:00...is waved at the back of the grid, it's our third and final TCR UK race of the weekend.
00:04Will we get a third different winner in this third race at Brandt's Hatch?
00:08The lights go out now and Max Hall again is not that quick away, but the car does keep moving
00:12at least.
00:13He will plummet down the order though on the run towards turn one.
00:15Look at Kent and O'Neill going to Max Hart in unison, going to the outside of Max Hall who
00:20will split them.
00:21Lewis Kent is sideways, right in front of Max Hall who really should never have been anywhere near Lewis Kent.
00:27Into Paddock Hill Bend, but gets delayed anyway, great save from the double former champion.
00:31But that has lost quite a few drivers, quite a lot of time through that first sequence of corners.
00:36That was Jeff Olden, destined for the gravel trap, thankfully manages to keep the car going.
00:40And digs the Hyundai on the grass down the hill.
00:43Who's leading? It's Newsham, who's second in his hunches, sir.
00:47And that is Jack Colstable around and again Max Hall is involved.
00:50He had to take to the grass to avoid the spinning Audi.
00:53Max Hart was involved in that as well, hopefully no major damage done.
00:57No, but I do know that there are suddenly three or four phones ringing to the nearest dry cleaners
01:02with drivers saying, I've just soiled my race suit, can you please come and sort it out?
01:07Well, to start with, Max Hall flubs his lines.
01:11That new set of tyres is now going to be needed because he is right down the back of the
01:17order.
01:17Lewis Kent sideways to Brands Hatch.
01:19That was the trigger that kicked it all off.
01:22But my goodness me, that spin on Cooper straight from Jack Colstable there.
01:27Again, right in front of Max Hall.
01:30Great avoidance there.
01:32And we've got, there is Lewis Kent.
01:34But he's done his Dukes of Hazzard impression.
01:36Now, get your head down in that Lincoln Coe.
01:40Oh no!
01:41That's Jeff.
01:42That is Jeff Maldon, yes.
01:43That's a big one up at Druid's corner.
01:44He's getting out of the car.
01:45That's a relief.
01:45That's the same place he was sideways on lap one.
01:47This time he's got it completely wrong and he's in the barriers quite heavily.
01:51That will be a safety car at the very least for sure.
01:54At the moment they're still racing.
01:56But the Hyundai safety car I'm sure will be heading to the track.
01:58Yes, it is being scrambled.
01:59And the race will be neutralised.
02:02And Max Hall doesn't realise because he's going up the inside of Harry Bloor into the first corner.
02:07Lewis Kent is wired a padded.
02:08We are under safety car conditions right now.
02:10And they really shouldn't be racing like this.
02:13Yellow flag's being waved furiously by the marshals.
02:15And everyone just has to bring things under control.
02:19That's such a shame for Jeff Holden.
02:20Said he was just here to try and have a good time.
02:23And that's his second car of the weekend, remember, because the Vauxhall Astra that he was supposed to be driving
02:28was misbehaving itself a little bit during the week.
02:31And unfortunately that Hyundai i30N is now in a barrier up at Druid's corner.
02:36The marshals spring into action, though, to go and help to deal with that.
02:40And the safety car does now gather the pack together.
02:44Callum Newsham leads them.
02:45Brad Hutchison second.
02:46Jenson O'Neill going third, by the way.
02:48Shouldn't really be hugely surprised to hear that.
02:50And I want to just emphasise something that I noticed.
02:53I'll get to that in a moment.
02:54Yes, here we are, actually.
02:55Keep an eye on Jenson O'Neill going.
02:56As Max Hall goes slowly off the line, O'Neill going and Max Hart are absolutely nose to tail into
03:02turn one.
03:03In about 20 seconds' time, there will be seven cars between those two.
03:06Because Lewis Kent gets sideways.
03:08O'Neill going squirts through.
03:10And Max Hart gets right buckled up behind Max Hall.
03:13Up through Druids they went.
03:14Rick, sorry, Jeff Holden there got completely sideways, as we saw.
03:18Dug his way out of the gravel on that occasion.
03:21But a lap later, sadly, he wouldn't be quite so fortunate.
03:24Then this is what happened down the Cooper Strait.
03:27Oh, a constable moved over on Max Hall slightly.
03:30Got into a huge tank slap at that, Henry.
03:33Could have been big.
03:34Yeah, because it wasn't just Max Hall, Max Hart.
03:37Oh, and oh, that looked like something broke.
03:40That was a parts failure.
03:42I hate to say it, but I mean, it certainly did not look like driver error.
03:46That car, the minute that Jeff Holden stepped on the brakes, that car turned left in a hurry into that
03:54barrier.
03:55And it does to me, because he was a bit leery around Druids the lap before.
04:00And luckily there, standing at the right in that bright pink race suit, just behind the three marshals and the
04:07fence,
04:07that is Jeff Holden up and out of the car.
04:11And that's the main thing.
04:12That's the main thing.
04:13But when a car changes direction like that, the moment that somebody applies the brake,
04:21that normally tells me that something has stuck, something has jammed, something has broken.
04:27And again, this is nothing against the team or anything like that.
04:29These are very complicated pieces of machinery.
04:32Jeff had gone through the gravel and bounced.
04:34And again, this is a very complicated piece of machinery.
