00:51:38I come from a musical family, my dad is a harmonica, my mother sang her whole life, but I just
00:51:46never took it seriously.
00:51:49Growing up was difficult for me, I had trouble making friends, I was very shy, awkward.
00:51:58I started playing soccer around age six, that kind of led to making friends and from that
00:52:05point on, soccer was my life.
00:52:07My dream for soccer was always to go pro, to see my last name on my back with a number
00:52:12that I liked.
00:52:14My freshman year of high school, halfway through the soccer season, I went for a free-kick and
00:52:23I planted my left foot to kick it and I felt like a gear switch in my lower left back
00:52:29and
00:52:29I couldn't feel my legs.
00:52:30I snapped my back in half.
00:52:34And that changed everything.
00:52:37It was hard for him to not be able to engage in what he loved and be around the other
00:52:43boys
00:52:43and be a part of things.
00:52:45I was lost for a long time and then I picked up a guitar and I didn't want to put
