00:00A former Metropolitan Police officer has admitted involvement in a crash-for-cash scam to secure thousands of pounds in
00:08fraudulent compensation.
00:10Kuldip Singh, aged 42, was dismissed from the force in November 2017 and fled the country, later being extradited from
00:19Georgia on 4 March this year.
00:22Prosecutors say Singh ran a pattern of calculated dishonesty, deceiving insurers, employers and the justice system.
00:29Incidents included staged collisions, false burglary claims and cloned vehicles.
00:34Singh also ran a car hire company, ADK Supreme, facilitating further fraud.
00:40He pleaded guilty to multiple counts. Sentencing is set for 2 June.
