00:00Can you explain why a Super Bowl MVP, a guy that was the two Super Bowls in three years,
00:04they've been to the playoffs five straight years, they've won two straight divisions,
00:08but yet no one really knows what to make of Jalen?
00:11It reminds me very much, so you mentioned I covered the Seahawks years ago.
00:14I still live in the Seattle area, and it reminds me a little bit of Russell Wilson,
00:18where you have a very good quarterback, but the guys in the locker room know how they really win the
00:22games.
00:22It doesn't mean that Jalen Hurts isn't a big part of it or Russell Wilson wasn't a big part of
00:26it,
00:26but if you go back to what evolved over time with Russell, he had had the great defense and won
00:32Super Bowls,
00:33and he made great plays. He became a top five quarterback, I think.
00:37But as time went on, he had a different view of what his role was than the team did.
00:45They've had a great team, a great roster, a great offensive line, a great run game.
00:48They really haven't put it on Jalen Hurts' shoulders week after week,
00:52and that doesn't mean that in the Super Bowl he didn't have a great game
00:55or one-offs here or there, he could do it.
00:58I think Russell Wilson was similar.
01:00But when Russell got a little big for his britches over time
01:04and started the decline because he couldn't move as well,
01:07and when he got to Denver and had to be the guy every week, he fell on his face.
01:12I think there's an undercurrent here of people that sort of think
01:15that would have maybe happened to Jalen Hurts if he went out of this situation.
01:20I don't think people feel like, well, they've got Jalen Hurts,
01:23so he's going to make it right.
01:25Right.
01:54Thank you for coming.
01:54Thank you for coming.
01:55I don't know.
