00:25a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.
00:29What's your message to Trump and do you believe this rhetoric?
00:33The first is that Canada expects all parties in this conflict,
00:40in any conflict, to respect international laws,
00:44the rules of engagement, and that means not targeting
00:47certainly civilians or civilian infrastructure.
00:52And we urge all parties in this war
00:56to follow those responsibilities.
00:59It's a point we've made publicly and privately.

01:08I'll just observe that there are some negotiations going on
01:13and that there is often a gap between
01:17what's said publicly and what's happening privately.
01:21We are not at the center of those negotiations,
01:24although we have some visibility to them.
01:27However, they unfold in the coming hours,
01:29in the coming days, the coming weeks,
01:31those negotiations, those discussions, those movements,
01:33as it must towards a cessation of hostilities
01:37and a reestablishment of security and peace in the region,
01:43those international responsibilities,
01:45those humanitarian responsibilities
01:47remain for all parties throughout that period.
