James Brody delivers money for a living. He’s also bringing his son Casey along, because apparently father-son bonding pairs nicely with armored-truck schedules. Then Rook leads a crew of would-be robbers straight at their route, treating the whole operation like a loot buffet. The action escalates fast, there’s a chase that keeps going a bit too long, and suddenly the plan collapses into the most durable movie trope of all: trapped on a broken bridge. No clever speeches. No time to catch your breath. Just James and Casey figuring out how to survive while the situation gets tighter with every bad turn. If you want straightforward, no-nonsense action where the stakes are basically “live or don’t,” Armor delivers exactly that.

Klar, dass das Ganze dann nicht einfach entspannt weiterläuft, weil eine Räubertruppe auftaucht, angeführt von Rook, und den Truck als rollenden Geldautomaten betrachtet. Es gibt Verfolgungsjagd, es gibt Chaos, und dann kippt alles auf die klassische „Jetzt sitzen wir fest“-Nummer: James und Casey landen mit den Dieben buchstäblich auf einer kaputten Brücke. Kein großes Weltrethorik-Kino. Eher Muskel-und-Nerven-Training, während die Entscheidungen immer schlechter werden und die Sekunden knapper. Wer Action mag, die direkt auf die Fresse statt auf Poesie setzt, wird hier was fürs Herz finden.
