00:19From the Pep and Teller Theater at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas,
00:26here's our host, Brooke Farris.
00:41Welcome to Fool Us.
00:43Seeing is believing, but you might not believe what you're about to see.
00:47We've got four magicians with their eyes on the prize, and I spy a challenge.
00:52Let's see what happens as we welcome the sharpest eyes in magic, Penn & Teller!
01:16Keep your eyes peeled for a magician to fool Penn & Teller, because if they do, you'll see them win
01:22a Fool Us trophy and a spot in Penn & Teller's Vegas show.
01:26Maybe we'll see our first magician do it.
01:31I am the Shocker, and I am known for bringing the biggest, most outrageous things to fool us with Penn
01:37& Teller.
01:37But there is one thing I've never been able to do.
01:43That's actually Fool Brown.
01:44But this time, I'm bringing some help.
01:51The craziest, most outrageous, most twisted mind in magic.
01:56This is Bizarro, the optical illusionist.
01:59For this man, normal is just a setting on the dryer.
02:03He doesn't say much, but he doesn't have to.
02:06He's gonna let his actions speak for us.
02:11And now, we're gonna bring our insanity to Penn & Teller.
02:15Penn & Teller, you might have been able to beat the Shocker.
02:18But you're not gonna beat Shock and Bizarre.
02:22We're gonna fool you, or die trying.
02:26He, he, he, he.
02:33Here comes one dangerous magic duo, Shock and Bizarre.
02:39How are you doing, those favorites? Let me hear you!
02:45There are a few things I've always wanted to do in magic since I was a little Shocker.
02:50Appear on Fool Us with every single host.
02:54Brooke, so happy to have you here, and it's so finely nice to meet you.
02:58Nice to meet you, too.
03:00And, performed the first stage illusion I ever saw.
03:04Now, the first one I saw wasn't done by a magician.
03:07It was done by a rock star.
03:09I saw Alice Cooper live on stage.
03:13Any Alice Cooper fans in the audience?
03:18Get your prostate checked.
03:20It's time.
03:20That Alice took out a six-foot-tall guillotine live on stage.
03:29This is the one I had.
03:31It consists of a stock and a blade.
03:33Anything that goes inside the stock is then taken care of by the blade.
03:40Now, we need someone to play the part of Alice.
03:43Brooke, can I borrow you for a little bit here?
03:45Yeah, absolutely.
03:47Hi.
03:49Place that on your right hand if you will.
03:50Okay.
03:52Because Brooke is going to play the part of Alice Cooper for us.
03:56So cool.
03:56Let's play with that.
03:57Let's see.
03:57There we go.
04:02So they raised the blade of the guillotine up.
04:05They slid Alice Cooper inside.
04:09Uh-oh.
04:09Oh, no.
04:09Now, Brooke, I can tell you're a little bit nervous.
04:11Always.
04:12There's no reason to be nervous.
04:13Okay.
04:13If anything is to go wrong, Bizarro is actually contracted with one of the local hospitals
04:19to get a state-of-the-art cryogenic freezing chamber that if any body part is to come off,
04:24they are going to place it inside, rush it to the hospital, and reattach it in plenty of time.
04:31Last time we did it, the guy even told us to keep the tip.
04:37Now, Brooke, the music started to swell.
04:40The monsters started to growl, and then they dropped that blade straight through Alice's neck.
04:50And he remained completely unhunged.
04:56Thank you for helping me out, Brooke.
04:57You're welcome.
05:01And that was the version I got to do when I was starting out.
05:05But then I got better.
05:08And I can afford bigger toys.
05:12Toys.
05:42Count it down with me!
05:44Three!
05:46Two!
05:48One!
06:05Ow!
06:12Three!
06:12Two!
06:18Two!
06:20Two!
06:21Three.
06:31One!
06:33Two!
06:34Three!
06:39Two!
06:49guitar solo
07:20guitar solo
07:54Well, just bizarro, I guess.
07:58Hi.
07:59Hi.
08:02Hi, what are we going to talk about?
08:04Oh, you have cards for me?
08:06Oh, thanks.
08:08Uh, will he be okay?
08:14How long have you two been working together?
08:22Oh, don't answer.
08:24Oh, no, no, no.
08:25Don't answer that.
08:27Ten years.
08:28Okay.
08:29Do you ever speak?
08:30Do you ever speak?
08:31No.
08:34All right, bizarro.
08:36Let's find out if you fooled Penn and Teller.
08:39How you doing, bizarro?
08:40I got to tell you, Brooke, these are two of our favorite people in the world.
08:45Bizarro and Shocker are just two of the best.
08:48And when we saw their names pop up, our hearts leapt with joy.
08:52And I got to tell you, this is very emotional for us, because I also saw the Alice Cooper
09:00guillotine.
09:01And the method you're using on the guillotine is exactly the method Alice used.
09:07And Alice is a friend of ours.
09:08And when we first met Amazing Randy, who, as you know, or maybe you don't know, was one
09:15of our most important mentors, but also designed all the magic tricks for Alice Cooper.
09:20And when I was 19 years old and first met Teller, we were invited over to Amazing Randy's
09:28house.
09:29We walked in and there were nothing but Alice Cooper heads all over there, because Randy
09:36was working on that tour then and had all these perfect casts of Alice Cooper's head.
09:42One of the most thrilling moments of my life.
09:45And the guillotine that was actually used in the Alice Cooper show that Shocker saw, we
09:51now own.
09:53We have the actual guillotine.
09:58So we may know a little bit about how it works, but it is the best use of the daylight
10:05seance gimmick we have ever seen in our lives.
10:08So Bizarro, Shocker, two of our favorites, but we own the goddamn prop.
10:14What do you expect?
10:21Well, it's pretty clear that they know how the trick was done, eh, Bizarro?
10:26What's going to happen to Shocker?
10:34Shocker, Bizarro, everyone.
10:37That's been fantastic.
10:39Penn and Teller have more tricks to figure out before closing the show with a trick of
10:43their own.
10:44So stay close.
10:59Welcome back.
11:00Let's keep the show rolling and bring out our next incredible act.
11:06When people say something is impossible, I see it as a challenge.
11:10My journey in magic started when I was 24, performing on the street out of my Volkswagen.
11:16I fought for the attention of my audience and I fought for tips and in the process, I fell
11:23in love with magic.
11:24In 2007, I opened Europe's first close-up theater in Munich.
11:28They told me it was a crazy idea, but I did it anyway.
11:32It's now become a sanctuary for people who loves magic.
11:35Once, during a rehearsal, I fell five meters, smashing my elbow.
11:41Doctors said I'd never perform again.
11:43But with surgery and therapy, I made the impossible possible and regained the use of my arm.
11:51Performing in America for the first time makes me nervous.
11:54The language barrier, the pressure, but I love it.
11:58Will I fool Penn and Teller tonight?
11:59Remember, nothing is impossible.
12:02You just have to find the right solution.
12:11All the way from Germany, give it up for Alexander Kreis.
12:17Hello.
12:19My first definition of mental magic is that I can change thoughts.
12:24You thought.
12:25I show you what I mean, okay?
12:26In my hand, I hold a...
12:29You can see what it is.
12:30Of course, it's a bonzig ball, but you're really sure about that.
12:36Because now I will change your mind.
12:40Normally magicians, your spells, abracadabra,
12:43and mental magic, not all set as necessary.
12:46Just a moment.
12:48It's enough to change.
13:05My second definition of mental magic is I know what happens in the future.
13:11I show you what I mean, okay?
13:13I have two boxes here on stage, and these boxes are predictions.
13:18Please, help me.
13:20I would love to.
13:22Hello.
13:23Hi.
13:23How are you?
13:24You see?
13:25I have five balloons here, okay?
13:27Okay.
13:28Now it's your turn.
13:29You can make decisions, okay?
13:31Okay.
13:32Your job is to animate the first balloon by cutting the string.
13:37Okay.
13:38Which color you want to cut?
13:40Okay.
13:41And you want me to cut the string?
13:42Yes.
13:43Anywhere?
13:44Please.
13:46Anywhere?
13:47Okay.
13:47You ready?
13:48Yes.
13:50So wet one.
13:50Good choice, huh?
13:52Wet.
13:52Oh, good choice.
13:54For the second, you can decide who chose the color, pen, teller, or yourself.
14:01Pen.
14:02Pen.
14:03Which color you want?
14:04Purple.
14:05Purple?
14:05Okay.
14:06Is the second balloon is purple?
14:08Okay.
14:09Answer, sir.
14:10A balloon.
14:11Who chose the color?
14:15Pen, teller?
14:16Teller?
14:17Teller?
14:17What do you want?
14:19White.
14:20This one?
14:21This one?
14:22Okay.
14:23Yes, white.
14:25Okay.
14:27Wow.
14:27Now we have 50-50, okay?
14:29We have orange and black.
14:33This is your choice.
14:35My choice?
14:36Yes.
14:39I'm gonna go with my favorite color, orange.
14:42Okay.
14:42Ready?
14:43Yes.
14:45Beautiful moment.
14:48Yes, black one.
14:50This is the last balloon here on stage, correct?
14:53Yes.
14:54Yes.
14:54If you had made a different decision, then we would have a different result, correct?
14:59Correct.
15:00I say I know the future, correct?
15:04He said that.
15:04Ladies and gentlemen, please come to me and this box, okay?
15:11Here is the balloon inside.
15:13Come to me.
15:14We take the balloon.
15:15This looks nicer.
15:16Okay.
15:17Here's black.
15:17Okay.
15:18And here's also, this is the black balloon.
15:22Yeah.
15:23Yeah.
15:24Yeah.
15:25Great.
15:27I have two boxes here instead, correct?
15:31Yes.
15:31This is first prediction.
15:33Here's the second prediction, correct?
15:35Correct.
15:35I hope so.
15:36Okay.
15:36Yes.
15:37Okay.
15:38You can go to the box.
15:40Okay.
15:42Thanks.
15:42And you can, looking inside.
15:46This always makes me nervous.
15:48Yes.
15:48But okay.
15:48You can looking inside.
15:50Okay.
15:50Is there a prediction inside?
15:53Take it off.
15:54The box off?
15:54Okay.
15:55You see my second prediction.
15:56I do.
15:57Take the tube.
15:58Okay.
15:59Yes.
15:59Come to me back.
16:01Okay.
16:02Yes.
16:03Very carefully.
16:05Yeah.
16:06Perfect.
16:07Okay.
16:07This tube is really solid.
16:09Really?
16:10Yes.
16:11Both sides are closed.
16:12Nothing funny here.
16:13Should I open it?
16:14Yes.
16:17The paper.
16:18Yes.
16:18Take the paper out.
16:19Okay.
16:21Got it.
16:22I love this moment.
16:23You do?
16:24You remember?
16:25Uh.
16:26The first balloon you want to cut was?
16:30Red.
16:31Red.
16:32Okay.
16:33You look.
16:34Is the left hand here, please?
16:35Okay.
16:36That's the right hand here.
16:37Okay.
16:37And the first balloon was?
16:39Okay.
16:40First was?
16:41First was?
16:43Wow.
16:44Yes.
16:45Very good.
16:47Amazing.
16:48Pen, you say which colour?
16:50I said purple.
16:52Purple.
16:52You did.
16:52And the second one?
16:54Pen.
16:54Pen.
16:55Pen.
16:56Say.
16:57Purple.
16:59Yes.
17:00So tell her you say.
17:04And look.
17:06Tell her say.
17:08White.
17:08White.
17:1050-50.
17:12Orange or black.
17:14Yes.
17:15Okay.
17:15White.
17:16White.
17:16White.
17:16White.
17:16White.
17:22Thank you for having me.
17:25Yes.
17:26Alexander Kreese, everyone.
17:29This is my degree.
17:36How did you go about deciding which act would be right for us tonight on this show?
17:45Oh, this is all my own creation.
17:50This is an original trick.
17:52Wow.
17:53For me, magic is art.
17:58And I love to create my own tricks and I show my own tricks in my show in Munich.
18:04And this is what I love in magic.
18:08This is my first time.
18:09I perform here in USA and this is the first time in English.
18:13This is your first time?
18:14Yes.
18:14This is my first time in English.
18:20You're fantastic.
18:22I learn six, eight weeks every day in English.
18:26Oh, wow.
18:26Well, we love having an original trick on this stage.
18:29So let's see if you fooled Penn and Teller.
18:32Okay.
18:32Are we ready?
18:32Yes.
18:33Boys, are you ready?
18:36Good luck.
18:38Great job.
18:40Oh, my goodness, Alexander.
18:43That...
18:46I like it.
18:50That's a good start.
18:52You floored us with the egg trick.
18:54We were floored with that.
18:55And then it just keeps going.
18:59It just keeps going.
19:00And we have...
19:03We have some idea how you must...
19:11The craftsmanship...
19:14Are those moans or noises, Coach?
19:17My voice is cracking with emotion.
19:20I've never seen this happen before.
19:22You're starting to act like Teller.
19:24Yeah.
19:26We need to...
19:28We need to...
19:30This is a mercy killing.
19:32You fooled us.
19:37We have to do the first thing.
19:44We let's do it.
19:46We're so sorry.
19:48We're so sorry.
19:49We're so sorry.
19:50Creecy, Creecy, Creecy.
19:51Alexander priest, everyone.
19:55Woo!
19:57C'mon in here, boys.
19:59Alexander priest!
20:00Wow!
20:02Penn and Teller gave away a Fool Us trophy.
20:04See more magicians take on P&T after the break.
20:22Welcome back.
20:23Penn and Teller have already been fooled once tonight.
20:26Let's see if this next magician can make it too.
20:30I have been on Penn and Teller three times.
20:33And I've never fooled Penn and Teller, but my animals have.
20:37We've taken home three trophies.
20:39First, they were fooled by my chicken.
20:41Then they were fooled by my snake.
20:43And then they were fooled by my hamster.
20:46Hemsaris.
20:48Penn and Teller know I go through great lengths
20:51to find smart and exotic animals.
20:53They'll be ready for even the most obscure animal act.
20:57I've searched the planet,
20:58explored the pages of history.
21:01And now I must go back even further
21:03to something primordial.
21:05To the very beginning.
21:07So for tonight's trick,
21:09I've decided to put my eggs in a basket I know and trust.
21:13What better way to fool Penn and Teller
21:16than with the second order of chicken?
21:19Penn and Teller, now is your chance for redemption.
21:23Or will you be fooled again by a chicken?
21:33Here with the world's greatest mind-reading chicken.
21:36It's your old friend, three-time Fool Us winner, Yoda Rick.
21:44Hi, Penn and Teller.
21:46Since last time we've been here,
21:48Curry has picked up her mental abilities.
21:51She can now read anybody's mind.
21:54Let's start with Brooke.
21:55Brooke, can you take your purse and join us on stage?
21:58Sure.
21:58Brooke.
21:59Hi.
22:00Hi.
22:01Can you pull that?
22:02Okay.
22:04Hello. Hi, Brooke.
22:05Hi.
22:05Oh.
22:06Oh, hi.
22:07Curry really likes you.
22:08Oh, he does?
22:09She would like you to get a high five.
22:11Can you please do like this?
22:12Sure.
22:12Yeah.
22:13Cool.
22:14Yeah.
22:16That is cool.
22:18Brooke, only say yes or no.
22:19Did you bring one of these four items in your purse?
22:23Yes.
22:24Cool.
22:24In a moment, I would like you to select one, hide it in the cup,
22:27and then place it under Curry's motivational bucket.
22:32Okay.
22:35Hide it, and when you're finished, give me a loud yes.
22:38Curry, don't look.
22:40Okay.
22:47Okay.
22:47Okay.
22:48Placing it in the cup, and I'm covering it with the bucket.
22:54Cool.
22:54It's time for Curry to read your mind.
22:58Really?
22:59Okay.
23:01Brooke, think about your selection, and then look into her eyes.
23:07Oh.
23:08Oh.
23:10Think about it.
23:11Oh.
23:13Who
23:14He's got it.
23:16Curry.
23:17Whew, what was Brooke thinking about?
23:23Whew.
23:30A credit card.
23:31Can you please show us? Did you indeed think about a credit card?
23:35Currie!
23:40Now it is time for Currie to read everybody's mind.
23:45You all may select one of these objects.
23:48Or no wait, she likes to step it up.
23:52You can select one of these 18 items.
23:57Brooke, in a moment, Currie is gonna show us what people are thinking about.
24:01Every time she picks on something, can you please name it out loud?
24:05Yes.
24:06Thank you. All right.
24:08And then, can you select somebody from the audience?
24:12Um, how about that guy? Right there.
24:16All right. Perfect. Hello, sir.
24:18In a moment, Currie is gonna read your mind, okay?
24:21I want you to select one of the objects on the board.
24:24You can have a stand. Cool. Great.
24:28You have one in your mind?
24:29Big time.
24:30Yes. Really think about it. Focus on it.
24:33Oh, there's some mental powers coming out there. That's very strong.
24:37Think really strong.
24:39Oh, the necklace.
24:41A necklace. Did you think about the necklace?
24:43Big time.
24:43Yes. Great. Currie!
24:46All right.
24:49Tell her, can you please join us on stage?
24:51Brooke, thank you so much.
24:52Thank you. You've been amazing.
24:53Brooke, thank you. Thank you so much.
24:59Hello, Teller. Hi. Nice to see you again.
25:02Oh, Currie is already picking up on something.
25:06You think she has some hidden devices.
25:08You can check everything.
25:10Everything's clear.
25:13All perfect.
25:15All good.
25:17That's enough.
25:18I would like you to write down a two-digit number.
25:23Write it down.
25:24When you're finished, hide it, and then tap me on the shoulder.
25:33Great.
25:34Think about your number.
25:37And then look into her eyes.
25:40Oh, she got you.
25:47She got you.
25:48Yes, what a great conversation you had there.
25:50Currie, the first digit.
25:53What is the first digit, Currie?
26:00A five, she picked on a five.
26:02The second digit.
26:05She picked on a seven.
26:07Can you please show us?
26:08Did you indeed think about a five and a seven?
26:11Five, seven, Currie!
26:17Yo, Derek, everyone.
26:20And chicken curry.
26:27Welcome back.
26:29It's so great to be back.
26:30Yeah, it feels like coming home.
26:31I know that perfecting a magic trick is very time consuming.
26:35Is it even harder with a chicken?
26:37It's really hard with a chicken, yeah.
26:39Do all chickens have magical powers?
26:42No, I'm afraid not.
26:43It's only Currie.
26:44And when did you discover that she had this magical power?
26:48I had her from when she was a baby chicken.
26:50And I just could notice that she picked on my feelings.
26:53That she, like when I was set, she came closer to me.
26:56So that's how I realized that she had this special ability.
26:59Well, all right, yo.
27:01Let's find out if chicken curry has taken home a full-ass trophy, shall we?
27:04Yes.
27:04Good luck, Currie.
27:06Thank you, boys.
27:14Yo and Currie, always nice to have you on the show.
27:17You always come out here with your animals and do wonderful, wonderful tricks.
27:21We absolutely love you.
27:23So funny.
27:23But let's talk turkey.
27:25No offense, Currie.
27:28We have had the finest Spanish card mechanics out here.
27:34We've had the finest German illusion engineers out here.
27:39We have had very funny Canadians.
27:41We have had all sorts of genius magicians out here.
27:46And you come out with the chicken twice.
27:49Once the chicken fools us, it will not happen again.
27:55We have weighed all the things that are possible.
27:58We have the impression that your damned chicken has better senses than us.
28:07Almost extrasensory.
28:09And I will tell you this time, we love you and we love your stupid chicken.
28:16But with respect to the card mechanics, the engineers, the geniuses that have been out here,
28:22a chicken will not fool us twice.
28:27Fair enough.
28:29All right, what do you think, Yo?
28:30Did Currie fool Penn & Teller?
28:32I don't think she did it this time, but I'm really impressed,
28:34because there are so many layers in their magic.
28:36So great job to you guys.
28:38We loved it.
28:39And it was a pleasure working with you, Currie.
28:40Oh, she loves you.
28:42She likes some more pets.
28:43Thank you so much.
28:44Come back and see us.
28:45See you.
28:45Yo Direct Air Chicken Currie.
28:50Keep it right here.
28:52More magicians will try to earn a Pulis Trophy when we come back.
29:09Welcome back.
29:10We constantly search the globe to bring you the best magicians like this one right here.
29:26Very good.
29:26Well done.
29:29Bye-bye.
29:29Don't tell us.
29:33Let's go.
29:35Let's go.
29:36Let's go.
29:38Let's go.
29:40Let's go.
29:41Let's go.
29:42Let's go.
29:42Let's go.
29:43Let's go.
29:44Let's go.
29:44I've been training for many years to learn how to do it.
29:47I should not be able to do it properly.
29:50Whatever happens, I will keep the calmness,
29:53and I will not be able to solve the problem.
29:59This集ä¸åŠ› is very expensive,
30:00and I will be very powerful.
30:04Pen, tell,
30:06I am the only one in the world.
30:10My pleasure is the ancient knowledge
30:12and my knowledge
30:14and my knowledge
30:14to you.
30:25Please welcome
30:26Buddhist monk
30:26and master magician
30:28Gotayashi.
30:46My name is Gotayashi, a real monk.
30:49Buddhism and magic are very similar in imagination.
30:56This is a Buddhist bell.
31:00O-rin.
31:03Which produces a delightful sound.
31:07We ring this bell during our rituals.
31:11Let's try.
31:14Beautiful.
31:15Now, let's cover this.
31:20Listen.
31:21The sound becomes smaller and smaller inside.
31:27Imagine.
31:28Not just the sound.
31:31This is the magic of imagination.
31:42Buddhism is very strict.
31:45They won't allow you to have playing cards or coins.
31:51So instead, I use these.
31:56Imagine.
31:59Here.
32:00I imagine.
32:03Hop.
32:05A red ball.
32:08With my magic.
32:10Hop.
32:11Now, two balls.
32:14One last time.
32:17Hop.
32:18Now, three balls.
32:25One ball, two balls.
32:28two balls.
32:30Two balls.
32:34Two balls.
32:35Usually, I'm a monk.
32:37But today, I'm a monk-ician.
32:44One ball, two balls in the cup.
32:52One ball.
32:53Two
32:55Now
32:57They move
33:03It's imagination
33:05Now this one disappears
33:08And this one moves
33:11This time
33:13I will show you the moment
33:15When they move
33:20Watch
33:213, 2, 1
33:25Oh, sorry
33:27It moves
33:28But not the balls
33:31The cups
33:32Okay, again
33:343, 2, 1
33:38And it moves
33:40Thank you very much
33:41Thank you
33:49Now
33:49Now I will put the inside of my
33:52TAMOTO
33:53Not the pocket
33:54TAMOTO
33:55But imagine
33:56Imagine it coming back
33:58HOP
33:59Then
34:00It will come back
34:02But remember
34:04There are
34:05Two balls
34:07Not one
34:08Again
34:10HOP
34:12But this time
34:14In
34:15Between the cups
34:24Just like
34:26Buddhism
34:26Requires
34:27Individual
34:28Imagination
34:30This time
34:31Watch
34:32With your
34:33Imagination
34:44HOP
34:55HOP
34:57HOP
34:57HOP
34:59HOP
34:59HOP
35:00HOP
35:00HOP
35:02HOP
35:02HOP
35:07HOP
36:27I have to ask you, are you the only monk-gician?
36:32Yes.
36:34I thought so.
36:36Can you tell me a little bit about your university and what that was like?
36:52What is the most challenging part about being a magician for you?
37:02Yeah.
37:05Yeah.
37:10Okay.
37:11Let's find out if your monk magic has fooled Penn & Teller.
37:15Yes.
37:15Are you ready?
37:16Okay.
37:46All right.
37:46Boys.
37:46And so far away from just the beauty of the absolute magic.
37:51Now we've done a lot of cups and balls.
37:55We also know there's a little bit of a language problem.
37:59So we're certainly not going to try to give you code words into a language that we don't
38:04know.
38:04So we'll just table the thought of that and talk about just how much we loved your performance,
38:11how honored we are to have you here, and thank you so much.
38:14But we don't think you fooled us because we do the cups and balls a lot.
38:20Yeah.
38:21I'm glad they spared you from the code words.
38:24Yeah.
38:28Go Taishi, do they know how you did your trick?
38:33They got me.
38:38It was wonderful to have you.
38:40What a beautiful act.
38:41Thank you very much.
38:42Thank you so much.
38:44Go Taishi.
38:52Pencils down.
38:53Pen and Teller, we're done testing you tonight.
38:56Why don't you perform your own magic trick right after this quick break.
39:13Welcome back.
39:14We can't say goodnight without spending some time with our fabulous hosts.
39:18So give it up for Pen and Teller.
39:23You know, we've said on the show a zillion times we love being fooled.
39:28We love that feeling of having no idea how something was done.
39:32But we have to confess that once in a while we like figuring them out too.
39:36There's something wonderful about sitting, watching a trick and all of a sudden having a ha.
39:41All of a sudden a ha pops into our head and we realize how the trick is being done.
39:45Now people watch this show for all different reasons.
39:48Some people watch it to just see the greatest magicians in the world do their tricks and they're done.
39:53Other people watch it to learn magic and they'll see a trick.
39:56And it's true, Brooke.
39:57If you go to the internet and search enough every trick on here, you can find out how it's done
40:01and learn magic.
40:03And that's wonderful.
40:03And other people watch for just that a-ha to see if they can figure something out watching it once.
40:10And here's one you can figure out.
40:12You can get the a-ha.
40:14Now Teller has a prediction here.
40:15Okay.
40:16There's a few rules here.
40:18The prediction won't change.
40:20There's no magic thing built in here.
40:22And the other rule is that, Brooke, we haven't set this up.
40:25You don't know what we're going to do.
40:26This is all completely honest and you can figure it out.
40:29We've set it up here kind of like a syllogism.
40:31We have A, B, and C. We have A, which is apple.
40:36Okay.
40:36We have B, which is banana.
40:40And we have C, which is...
40:43Carrot.
40:44So just give me one of those.
40:47Would you please, Brooke?
40:48Banana.
40:49Banana.
40:49Okay, good.
40:50And then pick another one.
40:53Carrot.
40:55Okay.
40:56Yeah.
40:56And then just take the apple.
40:59I'll take the apple.
41:00You had a free choice in all those things, didn't you?
41:02I did.
41:02I did.
41:03Now watch this.
41:04You can figure this out.
41:08There's the prediction that Teller's been holding.
41:10Would you read it, please, Brooke?
41:11I have the apple.
41:12Yeah.
41:12You have the banana.
41:14Yep.
41:14And the carrot is in the bag.
41:16And the carrot is in the bag.
41:18Okay, what?
41:19Right there.
41:19And to figure this out, you gotta know that Teller did all the magic.
41:23And you can figure it out, and you can get in.
41:26Oh-ho.
41:32I guess tonight was destined to be amazing, and I predict that our next show will also be a fantastic
41:37one.
41:38So join us next time when Fool Us returns.
41:42Thank you so much for watching at my show.
