00:00Reed, Victor, Cristina, and Jeremy,
00:03it's my honor to introduce the President of the United States of America,
00:07President Donald J. Trump. Over to you, sir.
00:09Very special hello to Artemis II.
00:12Today you've made history and made all America really proud, incredibly proud.
00:17We have a lot of things to be proud of lately,
00:19but there's nothing like what you're doing circling around the moon
00:23for the first time in more than a half a century
00:26and breaking the all-time record for the farthest distance from planet Earth.
00:31We'll plant our flag once again, and this time we won't just leave footprints.
00:35We'll establish a permanent presence on the moon, and we'll push on to Mars.
00:40What was your feeling when you had no communication?
00:42A little bit different, perhaps.
00:50Yes, Mr. President, it was quiet.
00:54I said a little prayer, but then I had to keep rolling.
00:56I was actually recording scientific observations of the far side of the moon.
01:00You know, that is actually the time when we were the farther and the closest to the moon,
01:05and so we were really able to make some of our most detailed observations
01:09of the far side of the moon up close,
01:11and so we were busy up here working really hard,
01:13and I must say it was actually quite nice.
01:15We'll be right back.
