00:00We recently received confirmation that the Orion Spacecraft and its crew have officially entered the Lunar Sphere of Influence.
00:07That milestone taking place at a mission elapsed time of 4 days, 6 hours, 2 minutes and 54 seconds into
00:15the Artemis II mission.
00:18By reaching this milestone it means that the gravitational forces of the Moon are now greater on the Orion Spacecraft
00:26than that of Earth.
00:26I'd also like to share that we noticed we entered the Lunar Sphere of Influence about an hour ago and
00:33sure enough we are now falling to the Moon rather than rising away from Earth.
00:39It is an amazing milestone.
00:42Also earlier we had the Earth out as a crescent out the side hatch and the Moon out Window 3
00:49and definitely by far the Moon is bigger than the Earth.
00:55And we now have confirmation that that burn has completed.
00:58Again that was an approximately 19 second burn using the auxiliary thrusters on the Orion Spacecraft service module.
01:04That burn completed at 10.03 p.m. Central Time, 11.03 p.m. Eastern Time to further fine tune
01:11the Orion Spacecraft's trajectory
01:13as it continues to make its way around the Moon and it was a good burn.

01:36We have a long-standing tradition in the astronaut office of the traditional astronaut pin and when you fly in
01:44space you change from silver to gold.
01:47And so we figured today was a perfect day to honor our friend Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen with his flown
01:53astronaut pin.
02:01Wow, that sounds like it took a lot of people to make this little representation that we have in the
02:07office,
02:08this tradition come to reality for me.
02:10So a lot of gratitude for all those people.
