01:04:33Good evening ladies and gentlemen, here we are to do a task which is almost impossible.

01:04:42Writers deal in words but sometimes words fail the writers and this is one occasion.

01:04:48So I have decided I won't say anything which is obvious, which you know.

01:04:53I won't say that he was the most handsome man in the screen has seen.

01:04:58I will not tell you that he was one of the versatile actors who was on one hand, he man

01:05:05on the other hand, he was equally convincing as a poet,

01:05:10as a professor, as a doctor, as a doctor.

01:05:13I won't say that his career was 65 years long.

01:05:17I won't say that any occasion, at any occasion, never for a day, he went out of the market in

01:05:2465 years.

01:05:26I will not say it because you know it.

01:05:28But there is something I have observed about him.

01:05:31I had met him when I was 20 years old in 1965.

01:05:35I was earning 175 rupees.

01:05:38I was an assistant director and somebody introduced to me.

01:06:25And people who are successful, are respected, admired.

01:06:30But here was one person whom this whole film industry loved.

01:06:40Ladies and gentlemen, I would only like to point out something very unusual about Dharmji's personality.

01:06:47He was a very dignified man.

01:06:50Nobody could take any liberty with him.

01:06:53And at the same time, he was an extremely humble person.

01:06:56Now this is, in a way, a contradiction.

01:07:00Because you move one step ahead of self-respect, you become arrogant.

01:07:06You walk a little more in the direction of humility, you become somebody without any self-respect.

01:07:15He was a strange combination of tremendous self-respect, dignity and complete humility.

01:07:25And this is a strange combination.

01:07:27Perhaps that is why whoever he met fell in love with him.
