00:00Beer lovers might tell you Colorado's great outdoors also adds flavor to their favorite brew.
00:05Well, now one man actually credits a Colorado beer for his long and active life.
00:10Our Michael Abeda poured this story in Golden.
00:13Golden, Colorado is a pretty healthy town.
00:16There's lots of runners and cyclists here.
00:18But one man came all the way from Pittsburgh to share his secret to a long life.
00:21And for this one, you don't need a pair of sneakers.
00:24Well, you know what they say, it's 5 o'clock somewhere.
00:27But for Andrew Slavonic, 5 is one hour late.
00:30Every day at 4 o'clock, yes.
00:32Thursday, he was right on time to get his daily Coors Light.
00:35Oh, we may miss a half hour or so, but we still get our 4 o'clock beer in.
00:40What better place to get it than straight from the source, Bill's Pub inside the Coors Brewery.
00:45Sort of a good flavor. I just enjoyed it. I loved it.
00:50Andrew is 101 years old.
00:52He was an Air Force gunner in World War II, and he's a family man.
00:55But one of his favorite things these days is his 4 o'clock Coors Light.
00:59I just love to drink it, that's all.
01:01It all started when he was much younger.
01:03When I was mowing my lawns, at about 4 o'clock, I was finished with the lawn.
01:09I'd have my Coors Light. That's when it hit the spot.
01:13He says it might just be the secret to his longevity.
01:15That's almost like a medicine.
01:18When the Coors family heard about him, they decided to fly him out to Colorado from his home in Pittsburgh.
01:22He got to have lunch with them, and he got a private tour of the brewery.
01:28It's quite a facility.
01:30And while Andrew likes Colorado just fine, what he enjoyed most is having a fresh Coors Light with his family
01:35in the place where it all began.
01:37This is the toast of my family.
01:39Now, Andrew started drinking Coors Original.
01:42He's since switched to Coors Light.
01:43He says he likes the taste better, but honestly, he'd probably tell you either beer is a good option.
01:48In Golden, Michael Levita, covering Colorado first.
01:51Well, maybe we should pick that up.
01:52I was going to say, cut the lawn, have a beer that goes together, huh?
