00:01One of our biggest fears is being normal.
00:08From a child watching World's Strongest Man on television
00:10and saying to my parents,
00:12I'm going to be on that one day.
00:17There is only one World's Strongest Man.
00:19Everybody wants to be president.
00:21When I said I was going to lift half a ton off the floor,
00:23who's this guy done from?
00:25People laughed and people said it could not be done.
00:27And the doubters,
00:28they just add fuel to the fire.
00:30He doesn't understand the idea of not succeeding.
00:33How do you get all that adrenaline into your body?
00:36I was willing to die to become the strongest man in the world.
00:40I'm excited to see what Eddie Hall is going to do here.
00:42Eddie, in my opinion, is the strongest man that ever lived.
00:48It's uncomfortable!
00:50Five hundred kilograms!
00:52He has grabbed his opportunity
00:57and strength was his
00:59and he's become the very strongest
01:00of seven billion people.
01:03The World's Strongest Man, Eddie Hall.
01:06It's kind of like a rocky story.
01:09The Beast is someone that people relate to.
01:13I said I was going to win the World's Strongest Man.
01:15I truly believe that when I lifted that trophy...
01:18The World's Strongest Man right here!
01:20...all my problems would go away.
01:24It's a well-known fact that people who do well at an Olympics
01:28will often go away and have a dopamine crash afterwards.
01:32I felt like I'd almost tarnished my life by achieving my dream.
01:38I suffered a mental breakdown in the past.
01:42And there's always that fear of that 13-year-old kid
01:46that locked himself in his bedroom,
01:49wanting to kill himself.
01:51And I never want to go back to that place again.
01:56The only way I will ever be happy
01:58is to keep pushing forward.
02:02Because if I don't,
02:03I fall into this dark, deep, horrible hole.
02:06And I fear that one day
02:08I won't get back up out of it.
02:12I always like when something is really tough
02:14because then you become one in a million.
02:16Dope, how are you?
02:17Are you finding somebody?
02:18I am. I'm finding a big guy, yeah.
02:22I've probably taken 20 years off my lifespan
02:24doing what I did.
02:27People say, why'd you do it?
02:28And would you do it again?
02:29Yeah, of course I would.
