00:40:12crazy okay but some parts of my adolescence i was like attracted to and involved in like just
00:40:19like knucklehead behavior in my community how old were you when you started to 14 okay age 14. okay
00:40:26by the time i was like maybe 18 going off to college like things were already changing by then but
00:40:32i felt
00:40:32guilty perpetuating the way of living that people we don't need to be living we don't need to be
00:40:37normalizing at all i think my issue is like the fear of having guilt in the future my mom is
00:40:44tricky
00:40:44because she's never had much and she's never been taken care of she's been through some really really
00:40:49really traumatic things like literally her whole life so when that time comes i'm afraid that i'm
00:40:54gonna like feel guilty that i didn't do enough or that i couldn't do enough but also she's created
00:41:00trauma in her kids and in her grandkids and you play a role in your own life too yeah
00:41:08and uh so unfortunately my mom's not healed i've been really trying to push her to do therapy she's
00:41:15like i don't know how many years i have left i don't want to spend my last five years bringing
00:41:19up
00:41:19all this awful stuff i think it would be really beneficial for everybody to see her at least try
00:41:27you just want to love on your mama that's it i do it's tough and similar with my dad my
00:41:34dad was not
00:41:35uh not the best dad when i was little one of my really prevalent memories i was maybe like 10
00:41:42or so
00:41:43driving home from somewhere and i remember him swerving like i remember him like falling asleep while
00:41:48driving okay somebody called it in and said this car is swerving like there's a child in the car
00:41:55yeah and when we got pulled over my dad gave me a pill bottle to hold and to hide
00:42:01and it's sad because like i think deep down my dad's probably like a decent human it's just he's been
00:42:08affected by so much stuff his whole life right and it makes me sad for him he missed out on
00:42:13my sister he
00:42:14missed out on me i mean look how you turned out though yeah and my sister's incredible too have
00:42:19you forgiven him no yes i don't know so i guess if i don't know probably not yeah yeah yeah

00:42:35a pretty good grasp on things and obviously i don't you do you got a good grasp you're getting emotional

00:42:49you know around when i was young he was he always had like an alcohol problem and i didn't think

00:42:53much of it and i remember one night like i heard like you know fighting or something coming from
00:42:59another room and i went to the door my mom like kind of cricked open the door and and i

00:43:05like like a hand grab her hair and then the door closed it was like one of the scariest things

00:43:11seen in my life and i was young i didn't know what to do i i felt like weak you
00:43:16know i'm like the only
00:43:17boy in the house right but the man of the house essentially right and i remember running to my
00:43:22sister's room i'm like didra didra didra don't play she's a little pitbull she protects those who
00:43:28she loves for sure she man she got to that door got in there and all types of what i

00:49:47people see me on dates impacted the way like i am perceived when you're growing up and going to the
00:49:54pool or something yeah yeah it's just something those two things are kind of like a part of me
