00:00This week on Orange County Choppers Original.
00:06So we've been working on a bike for a couple years now.
00:11She doesn't need to be led around somebody just as crazy or crazier than she is.
00:16Ow! Not that.
00:19We're going to take that bike out and build it for Joan.
00:23I'm not done yet here.
00:25Oh, okay.
00:30I'm not done yet.
01:02All right, Jimbo, let's go to the next one.
01:05Is this the one you wanted to do with the stuff we got in the back?
01:09Yes, that's been here for two years.
01:11So we've been working on a bike for a couple years now, and we keep tinkering with it.
01:15And finally, we had the opportunity to turn it into something really cool.
01:18So Paul decided to take what we've already started and use it and finish it up, and we're going to
01:23surprise Joan with it.
01:24So this is the bike.
01:25I don't know.
01:26You can see how much dust it's on.
01:27I've been in the back room for a couple years.
01:29This is the one my wife's always saying, when are you going to do my chopper?
01:32When are you going to do my chopper?
01:33So we have time now.
01:36We're pretty caught up.
01:37She's going to come in later.
01:38This is going to be a surprise for Saturday party.
01:42She doesn't know it, so she's going to come in and help me work on the bike a little bit.
01:46At least I think she's going to do that.
01:48She's bringing her girlfriend.
01:49That's going to be a huge distraction.
01:51Also, I'll be giving her a surprise wedding ring.
01:54I met Joanie Kaye because I was looking for a dog, and through somebody else, they said,
02:01well, they know this lady that runs the shelter, and they have a mastiff there.
02:10And of course, they said, well, they're going to put it down.
02:13And as soon as I heard that, it was like, no, I'll take the dog, you know?
02:16And that's pretty much how we met.
02:18Then I started working at the shelter.
02:20I dropped the tree on her car, and I got her telephone number.
02:27So, yeah, dropping the tree on the car paid off.
02:33I just bought new tires and new wheels for this.
02:36Oh, I saw those.
02:37I didn't know what you were doing.
02:38That's good.
02:39I don't know if the spacing is going to be right.
02:41They're nice looking.
02:42Yeah, let's slide this up.
02:43Ready?
02:43One, two, three.
02:45That should be good, right?
02:47Yeah.
02:47Got this.
02:49That don't seem right.
02:50Probably going to need another space on here.
02:52I'm thinking.
02:54That's the front.
02:55That's the rear.
02:57This is the rear, okay.
02:59All the ratchet, the stuff.
03:01Oh, it's in the, it's in that bin opener.
03:03Oh, it's in the air.
03:11Look at this.
03:13Ah, me too.
03:15Wow.
03:16You don't want to strip that.
03:18Got it?
03:21¡Ah!
03:23¡Ah!
03:24¡Yatón!
03:34¿Puedo ponerlo en la mano?
03:37¡9-16, Jim!
03:42¿Tú crees que vamos a poner un espacio en esto?
03:45¿Es un espacio en esto?
03:47¡No, no, no!
03:48¿Cáme of this?
03:49¡Ya, leave it on there!
04:00So, we're really fortunate to have a painter right next to our shop.
04:05He works for Burt and does most of his paint,
04:09but he's done quite a bit of paint for us.
04:11Y ya, you mentioned one scallop.
04:13So, I mean, there's three.
04:16There's two right here, right?
04:17Yeah, I think...
04:18We got three right here.
04:19Three or two?
04:20The yellow...
04:21The yellow's gonna be blue.
04:23Right here.
04:24This would be white.
04:27Confused.
04:28Yeah.
04:29Whatever's open will be the white.
04:32This is all gonna be white.
04:34Correct.
04:35Within.
04:36Within that area will be white.
04:39So, this is all gonna be white?
04:42Correct.
04:43Okay.
04:44So, I can bring the scallops to the side here.
04:47Uh, maybe do two more if you want full scallops.
04:50I have a nice blue.
04:52It is a nice blue.
04:53Yeah, a very nice blue.
04:54You want me to put a pearl over that, too?
04:55Just a real light pearl.
04:57It's stay this color, but out in the sun I have a nice sparkle to it.
05:00Yeah, I'll do that.
05:01And the color, I think the color's great.
05:03Uh, you know, I wanted a powder blue.
05:05Uh, for Joan, I think it'll look really nice.
05:08It's a surprise bike.
05:09It's the one that she's been saying,
05:11well, where's my bike?
05:14When's my custom bike gonna be done?
05:16So, it's gonna be done.
05:17I picked the colors.
05:18I think she'll love them.
05:19Uh, and I think the bike's gonna look great.
05:21Where's the sprocket?
05:22Oh, God bless whoever's getting this bike.
05:24And Joan still does not know that that's her bike.
05:30Hey, what's up?
05:32Hey!
05:32Look what I found.
05:34Oh.
05:36Didn't miss out.
05:37What's going on?
05:37So, Stacey is a friend of Paul and Joan and myself.
05:40We've known her for years.
05:41I met her at Gold's Gym in Newburgh 20, 30 years ago.
05:44And is always around and doing stuff with us,
05:47and in our family groupings and friendship groupings.
05:49So, it's gonna be fun to have her here working on the bike.
05:52Let me be excited, Jim.
05:54How about it?
05:55How about it?
05:56What time is it?
05:56Let me just tell you what happened.
05:57Don't tell me nothing.
05:58No, I'm...
05:59Don't tell me nothing.
06:00We went to lunch.
06:01It's 12.32.
06:02She was here at 11.30 out in her car.
06:05It's 11.30.
06:05She gotta go further than you do.
06:07Yeah.
06:08And she still didn't have time to do her hair.
06:09I don't wanna do it.
06:11She didn't do hair in makeup.
06:12Are you gonna get your hair dirty?
06:13Are you gonna get your hands dirty?
06:14Do you want some hair?
06:15How are you?
06:15Why am I getting my hands dirty?
06:17Shut up.
06:18We just stopped to visit you.
06:20Hi, honey.
06:21Hi, honey.
06:22Do you want to kiss me on the lips?
06:24No.
06:26Always do it.
06:26You're furry mustaches and needs a haircut for about three months.
06:30I used to have this later.
06:32I used to trim my mustache.
06:34She used to do a good job.
06:35No, I need the ratchet.
06:36You need the ratchet, Jim.
06:37Yeah.
06:38Over there.
06:38They gave it to you.
06:39This is the wrong ratchet.
06:41Is this gonna become a bike?
06:43And that's the wrong one?
06:44This is a bike for a customer.
06:47This is the last bike we gotta do.
06:49We had...
06:49This is like the sixth bike that we're doing in a row.
06:52Oh, poor you.
06:53So tough being here.
06:54In a row.
06:56Oh, poor.
06:57You ready?
06:57You got that?
06:58Okay, Jim.
06:58Hold on.
06:59Tight.
07:00Oh.
07:02Thank God.
07:03Do you need a rent?
07:04Do you need my help?
07:05Do you want me to get the drill?
07:06What do you want me to do?
07:07Tell me.
07:07Don't worry.
07:08There's plenty to do.
07:09So, I'm gonna tell you...
07:10I'm gonna tell you...
07:11And don't open your mouth, okay?
07:13I'm gonna tell you how I met this lady here, Stacy.
07:17So, Stacy is just really a true close friend.
07:21She does the same thing I do.
07:22She does some time still up in New York
07:24and a couple of weeks down here.
07:26It takes a little while to get to know Stacy.
07:29She's brutally honest, which is hilarious.
07:32But she's been close with Paul literally since they're like 18.
07:36So, when I got divorced with my first wife, I started going to Gold's Gym.
07:43She was 16.
07:44Just don't interrupt me, okay?
07:47She thinks she was 16, right?
07:49I don't know how old I was.
07:51I was younger.
07:52Fifteen.
07:54Yeah, probably was.
07:55No, we're not that far apart.
07:58And she had a boyfriend.
08:00She had a boyfriend.
08:03Yeah.
08:05Which boyfriend was this boyfriend?
08:06I was 19.
08:07Oh, you get emotional?
08:08You were 19, yeah.
08:09I was 19.
08:10Yeah.
08:10Yeah, that was how I'm shutting up.
08:12And she had a boyfriend that was my best friend.
08:14Ever.
08:16And it's...
08:19A couple of years ago, Stacy had to go out of town and Jim was fighting kidney disease.
08:31So, I stopped by.
08:33He was looking for some supplements that we all take in the morning.
08:37And I said, hey, Jim, we have to pick a time for dinner.
08:42And he said, let's do 6.30.
08:43And I can't wait for you to meet the dogs that are telling you all about her.
08:46She wants to volunteer at the shelter.
08:48And Jimmy was probably the toughest guy I knew.
08:51Like, the truest friend I think Paul's had.
08:55And I went to the office and I just said, okay, we'll do 6.30 at the following restaurant.
09:01Pulled away.
09:02And Stacy called me and she said, Jimmy fell off the deck.
09:08And I was like, what do you mean?
09:09I said, I'm on my way.
09:10And knowing Jimmy was a pretty proud guy.
09:12He was really a big dude.
09:13I felt like he fell, so I didn't want to call an ambulance or anything because he'd be mad.
09:19Like, he'd be really mad.
09:21Unfortunately, Jimmy had gotten a call.
09:23And he got a call from the hospital and whatever they told him, he walked out on the deck and
09:30took his life.
09:31So, I had to make that call to Stacy.
09:33So, as funny and crazy and loving as Stacy is, we go deep.
09:42The amazing thing about Stacy is that they were, like, together since they were, like, 18 or 19.
09:49She's resilient.
09:51She never holds back, even when you want her to.
09:55So, she's really hilarious in a lot of ways.
09:57But our relationship is deep.
09:59You know, we share.
10:02Tough times.
10:03Well, she can handle Paul better than anybody I know.
10:07When Paul's being Paul, Stacy puts Paul in his place like nobody I've ever seen.
10:15And their relationship has a truly special bond because of Jimmy.
10:19And I think just because they go back since she was 18 years old, she's a gym rat just like
10:23him.
10:24And they spent a lot of time together.
10:27So, I think she's fun.
10:29I think we should have more of her on the show.
10:32Anyhow, okay.
10:33So, I don't know.
10:36I was going there for a while.
10:37She had a boyfriend.
10:38And she wanted to marry me.
10:42Change that subject real quick.
10:44She wanted to marry me for a long time.
10:48I followed you around the gym.
10:49I drove you nuts for probably 20 years.
10:51I don't even know how I'm not married to you yet.
10:54Or my third ex-wife.
10:56I felt that you were too old.
10:57She was too old for me.
10:59Yeah, too old.
10:59Yes, she was too old for me.
11:01That's why I'm helping him change his diaper now.
11:04Yeah, go ahead.
11:06All right.
11:06What are we doing?
11:07What are we doing?
11:08Since you got them to help you out, I'm going to go check on paint.
11:10Help us.
11:11What?
11:11Wait, what?
11:12So, these two can work on it?
11:13Yeah, okay.
11:14This will be interesting.
11:15What am I working on?
11:17You yell at me once and I'm punching you in the face.
11:19And I don't know where that is.
11:20That's my line.
11:21I'm just telling.
11:22Okay.
11:24Look, he doesn't like this.
11:25Oh, he's got to bend over now.
11:26This should be interesting.
11:27Oh, it's hard to bend over too.
11:27Watch it.
11:28Careful.
11:28All right.
11:29Good job.
11:30Very impressive.
11:33Oh, God.
11:33He misses you, Stace.
11:34That's why he doesn't return your clothes.
11:36Paul's been a part of my life.
11:37I mean, it's my world.
11:39He's in it.
11:39But at the same instance, I deal with him still because he doesn't go away.
11:46No matter how many years later it is, he doesn't go away.
11:48Before fame, during fame, after fame, maybe fame again.
11:55That's just Paul.
11:56It has to fit in here.
11:57Paul, I have a client at four.
11:59Here you go.
11:59He's in there.
12:00Here, you can start typing.
12:01By the way, Stace, he said it's not in there.
12:03It was in there.
12:03It was the next one over.
12:04This is just a test.
12:05I'm good at this .
12:06So don't mess with me.
12:07Watch out.
12:08What's it?
12:08I'm going to get him started.
12:09Come on.
12:09I'm going to get him started.
12:11Don't you have like a root?
12:12Nobody would ever know you were a hairdresser.
12:14I know.
12:14I'm not.
12:15Nobody would ever know.
12:15Not a hairdresser.
12:16Not taking new clients.
12:19Trying to.
12:21Oh, there's another side.
12:23Loctite.
12:24Loctite.
12:25Wait a minute.
12:26Wait a minute.
12:26You've got to put the sprocket on first.
12:28No.
12:28I did put the sprocket.
12:29You told me to put it in.
12:30Where's the sprocket?
12:32Oh, God bless whoever's getting this bike.
12:34And Joan still does not know that that's her bike.
12:37Who did that?
12:37You?
12:38Yeah.
12:39Who did it?
12:40Great color, right?
12:41Beautiful color.
12:42Baby blue.
12:43I don't like blue.
12:44So I'm not sure if she's going to like it or not going to like it.
12:48But the bike's going to be cool.
12:49I do.
12:50You don't like blue?
12:51That's so nasty of you.
12:53It's beautiful.
12:54I think it's not for you anyhow, so who cares?
12:56No, it's pretty.
12:57My wife, she doesn't need to be led around that somebody just as crazy or crazier than she
13:04is.
13:04Ow!
13:05Not that.
13:06Slide this.
13:07This has got to go inside here.
13:08It's all one piece, dude.
13:10Okay, so I've got to move the tire.
13:12God, it's definitely crooked.
13:14I mean, if that's the situation.
13:15You see this axle here, Joan?
13:17Yeah.
13:17You've got to line that up and I'll push it through.
13:19Okay.
13:20I've got to make sure we do it right because the customer, all they deserve is the best.
13:23What a wrench is this.
13:25Let's let you change tires.
13:27I've never changed a tire.
13:28Do I look like I changed tires?
13:30Did you?
13:31I mean...
13:31She's totally off the hook.
13:33She's a great person.
13:34She's the best hearted person.
13:35She loves animals.
13:36Uh, but she's nuts.
13:38But I think that's why we get along so good, so.
13:42Okay.
13:43I love you.
13:44No, you don't.
13:45No, you don't.
13:45Say it louder.
13:46Bye, Joan.
13:47You can say goodbye to me.
13:49She don't like you, Paul.
13:50I built my first bike.
13:52Pretty good, right?
13:53I mean, it was crooked, but it's not my fault.
13:56His fault.
13:57And we've got to undo everything we did.
13:59Well, Joanie's been one of my best friends for, I don't know how long they're together now.
14:03I didn't do her hair today, so if anyone has any critique on it, it wasn't my work.
14:06Just so you know.
14:07Yeah, it was good to see her, and it was good to see her leave.
14:11We were way off.
14:12I guess we probably should have started with the budget before we sat down.
14:16Uh, yeah.
14:18Yeah, so yesterday I had Joan and Stacy here, which was a complete interruption.
14:25You know, Al's here today, and I got Drew here.
14:28Uh, we're gonna kind of give it the old overhaul.
14:30We switched out the wheels and put new wheels on there, and switched out the rotors and stuff like that.
14:35But we're gonna have to take that back wheel over there, but off of there, and change the system.
14:41Because the one that came with that, like a real junk system.
14:45So that's gotta be changed.
14:47We can't center out the wheel with it the way it is, and so that'll be the first thing that
14:51we'll work on,
14:52is getting that wheel centered up and get that front end on.
14:55Al will be, he's already looking at the wiring, so he's already having a fit.
15:01They're like, what's this?
15:03So we'll tighten everything up today.
15:06If you guys want to put the front end on, right?
15:11Put the front end on?
15:11You can, or you gotta clean that wiring up, or whatever you want to do, but...
15:15What does he want to do?
15:16Put the front end on.
15:18Yeah, yeah.
15:18But, uh, alright, let's take this axe off and stuff.
15:21Ready, Fred?
15:38Do you want to lock it down, or do you want to wait until she's been refeeding that spacer?
15:43Let's lock it down in case we get more key.
16:07In my senior year, I got, like, suspended I don't know how many times, smoking in the bathroom and everything.
16:14So they said, they said, you're not going to graduate.
16:17We're not going to, yeah.
16:18So they asked my dad to come to, he comes to the school.
16:23And we went down into the office and the principal said,
16:28uh, you know, I'm sorry to tell you that your son's not going to graduate this year.
16:32And my father looked at him for a second.
16:35He said, listen, he said, I don't give a if he stays here until he has a beard, he's graduating.
16:41I graduated.
16:43Yeah.
16:53Go ahead, Jim.
17:01So we were working, Paul and I were working on the rear end of Joan's bike.
17:04It had a different mounting system for the caliper in the back, which mounts directly to a bracket on the
17:09frame that's welded there.
17:11So when we switched the rims out and modified some of the sizing in the back, there were some issues
17:16with it.
17:17So we had to figure out what we were going to do and how we were going to remedy it.
17:20So I wanted to get that free run and that all the way over there.
17:23And then we can look and see.
17:24It should work.
17:25You know what I mean?
17:26Yep.
17:27By the way, it's not going to work, Jim.
17:29It's a bad attitude.
17:30Well, it didn't work, did it?
17:31It did work.
17:32We, we, we got the new brake and it's going to work.
17:35So.
17:35You know it'll work.
17:37See, it's just like a wife.
17:38The first one didn't work.
17:39So you try to listen.
17:40Yeah.
17:41That one didn't work.
17:42That one didn't work.
17:43So.
17:45Does that look good, right?
17:45Yeah, that'll work.
17:47Paul and I finally got the tire centered and the caliper spacing set up.
17:51So we're going.
17:52So we're going to mount this bracket to lock everything in place.
17:56Drew's going to throw some tacks on it and we should be good to go.
18:11Only take a second to put the back tire in the front end knots.
18:14Yeah.
18:16And we were able to figure that out, put it back together after taking it apart a couple
18:20of times.
18:21It fit perfect.
18:22The rear fender went on.
18:23There was no issues there, which is very fortunate.
18:26So we're going to be moving forward and I think we'll be able to finish this on time.
18:29I think we had a pretty good day today.
18:31You know, little curves here in this afternoon with the rear tire and the usual stuff, I guess.
18:39But we're at the point where we're starting to button it up.
18:42I think that tomorrow we'll probably have it up and running and get out on the road and
18:48take it for a test run.
18:49You know, it's been a male dominated industry for quite some time.
18:53And I love to see, you know, women showing their talents and it's our time.
18:58Between Casey with the artistry, Jen working on the Eagle, Fran and everything she does for
19:04the community.
19:05Joan coming in on it.
19:07It's been a lot of women and it's great to be able to tell their stories and share what
19:10they do with everybody else.
19:11I liked it before you finished it.
19:13So I took this idea from a Temptations album cover.
19:18Cover?
19:18It was from a live show.
19:20Temptations?
19:20Yeah.
19:21And then I incorporated Abbey Road and then there's six for your six kids.
19:29And then if you look up in the top, there's 15 bulbs but only 13 are lit up for your
19:3513
19:35pets.
19:36And then when you look in each, there's a couple little stars in there that are still
19:42early.
19:42Those are for your grandkids.
19:43There's seven of them.
19:44And then you have one big star right up at the front for Joan.
19:49For Jim?
19:49For Joan!
19:51I thought you said for Jim.
19:52I was going to say, give me the grinder.
19:55He's special but not that kind of special, you know what I mean?
19:59Good job.
20:00Glad you like it.
20:01Thank you so much.
20:03Thanks for giving me the opportunity.
20:05I don't hug anyone either, so it'll never happen again.
20:11It was just a moment.
20:12I got a hug.
20:16Got to meet Paul when he came in for lunch and stuff like that.
20:20And it just so happens that I apparently am the only one who can get his orders right
20:26when he first started coming in.
20:28So I became his kind of day-to-day bartender to make sure his food was always right.
20:33I've known her for quite some time and knew she was an amazing artist, so it was a no-brainer
20:37to bring her in on this.
20:38The design is insane.
20:39She's got the colors and the concept Paul had mentioned to her.
20:43She put her own twist on it.
20:44She put some numbers in there which represent Paul and Joan and their families and their animals,
20:48which only people who know the story are going to recognize.
20:50Otherwise, they're just going to think it's a cool piece of the artwork.
20:53She knocked it out.
20:54It's really cool to, you know, go from watching him on TV to knowing him as a person.
20:59And, yeah, you can't really judge a book by what you see on TV because he's a big old teddy
21:05bear.
21:06So Paul called me and asked me to come to Florida to help pick out a ring for my mom.
21:11He had never gotten her a ring yet, but they've been married for a long time,
21:14so he really wanted to get her a ring, especially because he's building a bike for her, too,
21:18and he wants to surprise her with both at the same time.
21:20So he asked me to come down, take a look at the bike, make sure everything looks good,
21:24that she would like it, and help to pick out the ring that she would like.
21:28Do you have any idea what you're giving?
21:30Nope.
21:31Nothing? You have not a clue?
21:33Yeah, kind of.
21:34Do you know what size she wears?
21:36Five.
21:37Five and a half.
21:39Yep.
21:40That's a guy with a Colleen deal.
21:48Ready, Freddys?
21:51I don't know.
21:52You don't know?
21:53We'll look when we get in there. Relax.
21:55Hi. How are you?
21:57Thank you.
21:57Thank you.
21:59How can I get home?
22:00Um, we are actually looking to buy a ring.
22:02Congratulations.
22:03Thank you.
22:04If you guys want to go ahead on back to the bridal selection,
22:06I'll send someone to help you out in just a few minutes.
22:09Okay.
22:09Thank you.
22:10Welcome to the Golden Diamond stores. How are you?
22:12How are you?
22:13How are you?
22:13I'm Ola.
22:14Hi, I'm Sammy.
22:15Sammy, nice to meet you.
22:17Welcome.
22:18How are you, Dominic?
22:19Pleasure.
22:19Nice to meet you.
22:20How are you?
22:22Nice to meet you.
22:23Listen, we don't really have a lot of time because my daughter's out on release programs.
22:26Uh-huh.
22:27Well, I'm quick.
22:28I actually have less than 12 hours.
22:31How are you?
22:31Welcome.
22:32Come on in.
22:32All right, let's, uh...
22:34This is right here.
22:35Yeah, that looks nice.
22:36That's beautiful.
22:38So that's what she wants, cushion.
22:40Oh, she wants cushion?
22:40That's what she wants, cushion.
22:41What's the square on the cushion?
22:43The square has, like, pointy edges and cushion has...
22:45So let me...
22:46Yeah.
22:46Look.
22:46Look at the edges.
22:47I mean, I'm a guy, so...
22:48You know?
22:50I mean...
22:50If I were to...
22:51I'd believe that she wants cushion.
22:53If what?
22:54I think she wants cushion.
22:55You don't think that's too boozy?
22:57Boozy?
22:58No, it would be bougie is the word I think you're looking for.
23:01Boozy.
23:01You see how it's surrounded with diamonds?
23:03Mm-hmm.
23:03That's a halo.
23:04So it's a halo around it.
23:06Halo?
23:07Mm-hmm.
23:08Like the angel halo?
23:10My wife's an angel.
23:10Yeah, there you go.
23:11Mm-hmm.
23:12Thank you.
23:12Right?
23:13Isn't your mother an angel?
23:15So it kind of...
23:16This one, right?
23:16Yeah.
23:18Because I think she...
23:19Yeah.
23:20I think she'll like this one better.
23:22I love it.
23:23I mean, she could wear that when she's feeding the pigs, right?
23:26Don't you think?
23:26Yeah, she'll be picking up cows.
23:27You want the wedding band?
23:29Yeah, it...
23:29No, I don't need that.
23:31What do you need that for?
23:32Okay, do you know how this works?
23:33No.
23:34I'm just...
23:34I'm honestly asking.
23:36There's like an engagement ring when you were first supposed to give a ring that you didn't
23:39do?
23:40Now you're getting it.
23:41But you're already married, so she should already have two rings.
23:43A wedding band from the wedding and the engagement ring from the initial proposal.
23:48So yeah, she should have the both.
23:51Okay.
23:53It's a deal.
23:54Congratulations.
23:55So we went ring shopping today.
23:58We probably should have done this a little bit better.
24:00We probably should have started with a budget when we walked in.
24:02That ring's gotta be boo-koo bucks.
24:05Let me take a guess.
24:07Sorry.
24:07I was just gonna see about the price range before we go back over there on camera.
24:12Do you know about how much?
24:13Yeah.
24:14But I'm getting a price from...
24:16This is $220,000.
24:18$220,000?
24:19Yeah.
24:20We're gonna have to...
24:21We're gonna have to talk about this.
24:22$230,000.
24:23We were way off.
24:24I guess we probably should have started with the budget before we set down.
24:28Uh, yeah.
24:29So we ended up going from a five or six-carat diamond down to just under a three-carat diamond
24:35and got a really nice setting.
24:36They gave us a great price.
24:37It ended up working out really well.
24:39That is nice.
24:40Mm-hmm.
24:41Yeah, that's beautiful.
24:42And it's less gaudy, is what you...
24:44Or what did you call it?
24:46Boozy.
24:46Less boozy.
24:47Boozy.
24:48Boozy.
24:48This would be boozy.
24:50That's boozy.
24:51That's boozy.
24:51This is boozy.
24:52That is boozy.
24:53Done?
24:54Done deal.
24:55All right, congratulations.
24:56Credit card, please.
24:57I need your card.
25:00Pardon?
25:00No, no, no.
25:00I have the numbers.
25:01Can you input the numbers?
25:02What are the credit cards?
25:03I have the credit card, not the debit card.
25:04I wonder why bank accounts have been dropping down.
25:08So it's, uh, so it's over.
25:11I, uh, I was a little bit anxious about this, uh, for quite some time now.
25:16So these guys helped me out.
25:18My, uh, stepdaughter here, uh, was a big help.
25:21Thank God.
25:22She's a big help.
25:23She helps me spend my money.
25:26That was a good clue.
25:27But I, I thought, she'll be happy, you know what I mean?
25:29I think.
25:29Yeah, it's gorgeous.
25:30She doesn't really, she doesn't really, she's not like a boozy.
25:33Boozy.
25:34Boozy.
25:34A boozy.
25:35She's a boozer.
25:36She's just not boozy.
25:37She's a boozer.
25:38Don't get that twisted.
25:39Yeah.
25:40Very big difference there.
25:43That's good, yeah.
25:44All right.
25:45Let's do it.
25:47All right.
25:47All right.
25:47Let's get back over to the show.
25:48Hey.
25:49Everything is new.
25:50We didn't use one piece of the other one.
25:53Where's Christian at?
25:54Yeah.
25:56So I just think we had a lot in common.
25:59Al doesn't like many people.
26:00Pretty much nobody.
26:01Probably nobody.
26:02So, he likes me.
26:04I don't really care if he likes anybody else.
26:07He likes dogs.
26:09I like dogs.
26:10That clutch moving at all?
26:12Clutch?
26:12No.
26:13Do I got to go in or out?
26:15Out.
26:15Got to go out.
26:16Out.
26:18Problems with the primary and the clutch not working right.
26:22Couldn't get the clutch adjusted.
26:23It was too heavy.
26:25Alan is like a...
26:27He's just tarnasish.
26:28He just does not stop at anything, you know?
26:31And he couldn't figure it out neither.
26:34Let me see if I have another nut and just zip it off.
26:36I don't know.
26:37I guess.
26:38I don't know.
26:38You have another basket?
26:40Then we got to take the whole clutch part again, right?
26:43Well, yeah.
26:44And the belt.
26:45Yeah, you're paying the .
26:47Ended up taking it all off, throwing it away,
26:50and putting a whole different setup from BDL on it.
26:53We're trying to get it all buttoned up here.
26:55We ran into a problem with the belt drive
26:57and the clutch not adjusting right.
27:01So we ended up trashing that,
27:02and we got a BDL clutch that we're putting in now.
27:07And we'll put that on after lunch
27:09and hopefully the problems we had will go away.
27:12Wait, wait, wait.
27:13You're probably already in already.
27:14You're already in.
27:16Yeah, I know.
27:17But it was the same thing with the other one.
27:19I mean, we can't...
27:19I can hardly...
27:20I'm definitely not hitting the clutch now.
27:23I'm not hitting the other side.
27:24I don't believe so.
27:27Everything's new.
27:28Even the nut...
27:30Everything.
27:30That holds it.
27:31Everything is new.
27:32We didn't use one piece or the other one.
27:35Where's Christian at?
27:37Yeah.
27:39They keep coming in.
27:40This is his specialty.
27:44You want me to check with him or leave him alone?
27:46So Paul called me up.
27:47He said he had a problem.
27:48He needed me to get there right away.
27:52Perfect timing.
27:53What are you guys doing?
27:54What's up?
27:54How are you, Jim?
27:54Good. Good to see you.
27:56Hey, Paul.
27:57Hey, Al.
27:58We're, uh...
27:59All right.
28:00Troubleshooting.
28:01We're...
28:01We're...
28:02Having a NASCAR drill on clutch.
28:05NASCAR what?
28:06On and off, on and off, on and off.
28:07Like tire changes.
28:08Clutch.
28:09Oh.
28:10We put a brand new belt drive on there.
28:12It's still not working.
28:13The clutch.
28:14This is Joan's bike, right?
28:15Yeah.
28:16What's wrong with it?
28:17We can't...
28:18We just can't get the...
28:20The...
28:20The adjustments.
28:21It was hanging up.
28:23At the lever, you mean?
28:25It was hanging up tight.
28:26Tight.
28:27So we changed the whole belt drive.
28:31Because if he didn't come in and help Al and us,
28:34we'd still be working on the bike.
28:36You know?
28:37Good?
28:38Yeah.
28:38All right.
28:39Let me see.
28:43Yeah.
28:43I told you.
28:44I said earlier...
28:45What did I say earlier?
28:46Change that umbrella?
28:48Did I tell you that?
28:51Right after you said you loved me,
28:52you said to change the umbrella.
28:54We had it happen before.
28:56We did.
28:57We had...
28:57We had...
28:58And we spent hours.
29:02Hey Al, are you going to give me a longer screwdriver?
29:05We got a little.
29:06Yeah.
29:07I tried.
29:07I...
29:08I...
29:18So right now we're just basically cleaning the bike up a little bit.
29:21And I think that pretty much we're ready to drop it down and see if it starts.
29:43And we got it all squared away and rode pretty good.
29:58It's been cool, man.
30:00This...
30:00You know, these past six bikes, it's been a trip.
30:02We've had a lot of laps.
30:04You know, some fun times.
30:05It's great to see Paul again.
30:07I'm glad he reached out and asked me to be a part of this.
30:10You know, it's a big thing, man.
30:11It's something to be proud of.
30:13Yeah, so tomorrow morning I'm going to go pick up the diamond, check it out, make sure everything's good.
30:17And then we're going to head up to the house and surprise her.
30:19She thinks everyone's coming over for her birthday.
30:20But little does she know, a bike and a new ring are coming.
30:24So I'm really excited to see what she thinks about both.
30:27The other day I was in the shop and they showed me something.
30:31They said, what are you thinking?
30:32I said, I don't like blue.
30:53Hold it here and opens this one.
30:55I would open it the other way.
30:57I know.
30:58And it's already 310 by 345.
31:01Start to get the bikes.
31:02What happens around 4?
31:03Good job.
31:04All right, let's see you.
31:05I'll take care of her.
31:06Sometimes you might say it's a love-hate relationship.
31:11But, you know, the bottom line is she's always been there for me.
31:16You know, about two weeks ago, Paul said, I have to talk to you.
31:19Just know, like, as a wife, right, when your husband says I have to talk to you, it's usually not
31:23good.
31:24And he said, okay, so here's the deal.
31:26There's like 120 people coming and I don't know what I'm supposed to do or what we're supposed to do.
31:32And I said, where are they coming?
31:33Assuming that we were going to do it at OCC.
31:36And he said, no, they wanted to do it at the house.
31:38I said, Paul, we live on a farm.
31:40We don't have parking.
31:42Where would you put 120 people at a small farmhouse, you know?
31:46So actually it was pretty funny because he's like, well, I just know that you always figure stuff out.
31:50So this whole thing was probably the biggest stress bomb dropped on me.
31:56Did anybody see the liquor guy?
31:58Seriously, the liquor guy.
32:00Oh, everybody's in panic over here, right?
32:02Yeah.
32:03Everybody's starting to shake.
32:05He said he's going to be here.
32:07It's also, in 90 days, we've had three days of rain.
32:11It's a dirt fest, so you're not getting out of here with clean feet.
32:15That's all I can tell you.
32:16I'll be right back.
32:18I'm going to bring the bike back.
32:20Oh, you're going to go get him?
32:21Yeah.
32:22Get him in?
32:23No, no, we're good.
32:24They got the...
32:27Watch that guy over there.
32:28Hey, keep an eye on that guy.
32:30I got him.
32:30You got him?
32:31I think he's got each other.
32:34I think they're mutual.
32:38Watch out, I don't want everybody.
32:43There were so many people from various parts of my life.
32:47You know, there were people here, friends of mine, from when I was 14 and 15.
32:51It was definitely moving.
32:52I think as you move on in life, 62 years old, I think that you really appreciate relationships
32:58and good people.
33:00And to look around today, my friends from down here, it was an awesome feeling to just see
33:05all these people from all walks of life here, you know, to celebrate with us.
33:10I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to celebrate her birthday.
33:14She really appreciates it.
33:16I know a lot of people traveled long and far to be here.
33:18And we actually have something that we wanted to share.
33:21Paul actually has a surprise for her.
33:23So Joan, Mom, I'll let her do the thanking herself as well.
33:31Thank you, guys.
33:32This is amazing.
33:33I really can't...
33:35I look around and I see all these people from different walks of my...
33:39Congress!
33:40Congress!
33:40In the back!
33:43So actually, we all know each other since we are 14 years old back there.
33:48We've made some great new friends down here as well.
33:51We have some of our friends that came in from back home in New York, over here, upstate New York.
33:57So when I look around, I see all the facets of our life and all of the people that have
34:02come out today.
34:03And I can't thank you enough because it's been awesome and we're having a great time.
34:06And I hope you're having a great time, too.
34:10And don't worry, more liquors on the way.
34:12But in the meantime, since we're holding out on that.
34:14If you take a step this way, there's a surprise for you.
34:20Wow, check that out!
34:27Yeah!
34:28Yeah!
34:32That is crazy!
34:35So the best is...
34:37Happy Birthday!
34:38Thanks!
34:39I had no clue.
34:41Like, honestly, Jim was showing me a fender or something and I was like, oh, it's pretty cool.
34:45I don't know.
34:45I don't really like blue, but it's pretty cool.
34:47The other day I was in the shop and they showed me something.
34:52They said, what do you think?
34:52And I said, I don't like blue.
34:57Sorry, it looks a lot better now that it's on the bike, just for the record.
35:03It does look good, actually.
35:04Really good.
35:05Beautiful.
35:05She keeps asking, where are my choppers all the time?
35:08Where's my chopper?
35:09And we've been, you know, doing the show and we've been, like, really busy.
35:12I really like the bike.
35:13I think that my mom's going to like it.
35:15I love the color.
35:16I love the gas tank.
35:17I love everything about it.
35:18I like that it's low to the ground.
35:19It's an easy ride.
35:20I'm just kind of waiting for when he's going to build me one just like it.
35:23I just figured this would be a good birthday present.
35:30By the way, I like that color blue.
35:34I really screwed up on that one last week.
35:36So, I'm not done yet here.
35:41So, we spent a lot of time riding bikes together every day.
35:46And so, I can't help it.
35:51What are you laughing at now?
35:53I just think it's funny.
35:54But so, we used to ride past the justice of the peace every day, you know?
36:01And every once in a while, we would like, look.
36:05We would like, look over there and we'd both say, no, no.
36:07That's not happening, man.
36:09Never again.
36:10Never again.
36:12So, one day...
36:14They had a cell.
36:16Remember they had a cell?
36:17Yeah.
36:17It was a cell.
36:19I'm joking about it.
36:20So, anyhow, we said...
36:22I'm going to say she said, let's go.
36:25But she's going to tell you that I said, let's go.
36:29But anyhow...
36:29That was not me.
36:30Yeah.
36:30So, we go in there.
36:31We fill out the papers real quick.
36:33Sign her name.
36:34Get up there.
36:35I do.
36:36You do.
36:37And there was like a plastic bouquet of flowers in the vase.
36:42And I gave her that.
36:45And we went to lunch.
36:47And that was like...
36:49We never really had a wedding or anything like that, you know?
36:53So, I figured...
36:55We don't still believe we're...
36:55I'd get you something.
36:58I figured I'd get you something.
37:02Is it blue?
37:07I can't open it.
37:08Wait.
37:09Your daughter showed me how to open this.
37:10There it is.
37:12Oh, my God.
37:14Thank you.
37:17That's beautiful.
37:19Woo!
37:21Woo!
37:25Woo!
37:25Woo!
37:26Woo!
37:27Woo!
37:28I love it.
37:29Thank you.
37:30You like it?
37:30Woo!
37:32I do.
37:33Thank you.
37:34So, I just want to say that I really love my wife.
37:36But what I like more about her that she puts up with me.
37:41Thanks for coming, everybody.
37:43I appreciate it.
37:47And definitely had no clue about the ring.
37:49He did a pretty good job on that today.
37:53Ring, bike, come on.
37:55He worked hard at it.
37:56So, I got to give him a couple of points.
37:58A motorcycle and a ring.
37:59Holy cow.
38:01It must be special.
38:03I will.
38:04That's for sure.
38:06Thank you again for all of you being here to be a part of this.
38:10Figured that my daughter Sam probably had a hand in this.
38:14But I was like, there's no way that he did this by himself.
38:17For Paul getting this ring, honestly, was a surprise to me because he's not really romantic.
38:23I pick out the Christmas gifts, the birthday gifts.
38:25Forget Valentine's Day.
38:26He doesn't even remember when it is.
38:27So, this to me, when he asked me to come and do it, I was like, all right, that's really
38:30nice for my mom.
38:31Because he doesn't do a lot of nice things like that.
38:33Like, he'd give her the shirt off his back, but he definitely doesn't think proactively on gifts or things like
38:38holidays.
38:38So, it was really nice.
38:40Thanks for coming and let's go have a good time.
38:44I'm on a farm.
38:46So, there.
38:47So, maybe what they'll do is me feeding lines and then cut them out.
38:49My daughter's like, oh, my God, I told you to get a manicure.
38:51Oh, my God, your feet are filthy.
38:53I'm like, well, I have been out on a farm all day.
38:56Like, they're not going to be clean.
38:57Show us the ring.
39:04Very pretty.
39:05It was so funny because you go to all these unveils, reveals and, like, you can't wait to see, like,
39:12what the people's response are.
39:14You know, I think it's a gift that Paul has always had.
39:17I think, uh, I think she liked it.
39:18I think she liked the ring.
39:19You know?
39:20Happy days, right?
39:22Big, big rock.
39:24No, it was nice.
39:25Paul did a good job.
39:26The bike is beautiful.
39:28The ring came out great.
39:29Paul didn't, you know, didn't lose it, which was amazing also.
39:32And, uh, all in all, a great day with some great friends and family.
39:35I mean, it was a great day.
39:36Weather's perfect.
39:37You know, everyone here, the love is in the air.
39:40And good vibes.
39:41He was breaking his chops.
39:43I said to him, you know what just thought of me?
39:45You never came and asked me for my daughter's hand in marriage.
39:50Yeah, well, I think the main thing, she was surprised.
39:54That's for sure.
39:55Um, yeah, so I think it went good.
39:57I think it went good.
39:58I'm not like, I don't know.
40:00I'm not really good at that kind of stuff, you know?
40:02So, um, so I did pretty good for not being so good at it.
40:08Very nice celebration.
40:09And we were happy to be a part of it.
40:11Very happy.
40:12And I wish you all the best.
40:15To Paul and Joan, thank you for letting me be a part of such an amazing project.
40:20And, uh, we're looking forward to season two, baby.
40:23We're having a great time.
40:24Paul's great.
40:25Joan is great.
40:25Family's fantastic.
40:26It's a beautiful day.
40:28And, uh, thank you for the invite.
40:29I feel very special.
40:30God bless you guys.
40:31Happy birthday, Joan.
40:32Love you.
40:38Paul, do you have crazy friends or what?
40:40Oh, my God.
40:41Did you see how close that was?
40:42Yeah.
40:43Surreal.
40:44Surreal.
40:45What a season if you'd told me 20 years ago that we would have been doing this.
40:49I don't know.
40:51I guess I probably would have believed it because we do crazy stuff.
40:55So doing six bikes in such a short period of time and then being filmed all day while you're
41:00doing it, it's a little frustrating, a little hectic.
41:02Uh, but it's a challenge we all took on when we started this.
41:05The great thing about doing it this time is Paul owns 100% of the show.
41:09The editing, the production, the stories come from the customer and Paul.
41:13So it's OCC his way and our way because it's a team effort.
41:17When you see the bike finished and the unveil, it's worth it.
