00:22:10tribal immunity is no more all right so when we were putting together this season we had one goal
00:22:20we wanted to do our best to make it memorable and in order for something to be memorable it's got

00:22:27be rare that's what makes it special so we did a couple things we've never done before 24 players
00:22:32most ever we also turned the entire show over to the fans they voted for the type of game they
00:22:37wanted you to play and when it came to twist 63 percent said I love twist bring them on so
00:22:47today a twist for
00:22:50the fans a twist so memorable so rare it will cause the entire survivor world to pause and take notice
00:23:00because it's never happened before oh my gosh we thought this twist could use a metaphor something to
00:23:06give it a little shape a little form so we started by asking ourselves well what is it about the
00:23:10survivor experience that makes it unique in the first place and that is while playing this game
00:23:14you live in nature you deal with it every day the rain the ocean the blazing sun and then it
00:23:20dawned
00:23:21on us nature itself offers a perfect metaphor for what's going to happen today because every so often
00:23:27in nature an event happens it is so memorable and so rare the entire world pauses to take notice
00:23:34that is a total lunar eclipse that is when the earth's shadow covers the moon and turns it a deep
00:23:43foreboding red and we call it a blood moon ancient civilizations feared a blood moon they saw it as a
00:23:53warning a sign of upheaval even impending doom
00:23:59and that's how you should see it as well because tonight survivor will have its own version of a blood
00:24:07moon and just like in nature it will cast a shadow over the entire survivor game
00:24:14and it will never be the same again because tonight not one not two
00:24:22but three players will have their torches snuffed wow the most ever in a single night
00:24:29wow moment so memorable and rare it will forever change the game
00:24:34it's crazy wow you wanted big we're doing our best let me explain how it's going to work
00:24:45for today's challenge you're going to use your hands and arms to brace against two walls while your
00:24:50feet balance on very narrow footholds regular intervals we will move farther down to a more
00:24:55narrow foothold making it more difficult if you drop you're out
00:25:02and just to make it a little more dangerous we're going to randomly divide you into three groups of five
00:25:10the person who lasts the longest with each group earns individual immunity this is the immunity necklace
00:25:18just about 50. wow fans voted on this as well 84 percent wanted this and it's a beauty tonight
00:25:27three players will look very good wow with this around their neck because all three groups are
00:25:34going to tribal council to vote out the eighth ninth and tenth players from this game
00:25:42there is a silver lining to today
00:25:46and that is you're playing for reward you want to know what you're playing for
00:25:49yeah yeah the person who lasts the longest earns for themselves and their group the biggest reward of the

01:02:11very important to remember there are people that you might have to answer to.

01:03:09I think a lot of us came out of our first seasons with scars.

01:03:17But in some sense, coming to 50 was a celebratory season and has given us all redemption.
01:03:24So, I think there's a lot of other beautiful things about being on 50, too.
