00:01We are watching exhale, me and my mom, getting ready.
00:09My name's Constance.
00:10I'm from Columbia, South Carolina.
00:13I'm a chef by day and music artist by night,
00:16AKA Baby Danger.
00:18Everyone calls me Danger because I
00:20am the one that's making the most crazy out
00:23of the box decisions.
00:26I just touched the most toxic thing
00:29in a whole entire ocean.
00:32Medic!
00:33Medic!
00:35I'm shitting on myself.
00:37You're pooping?
00:38Ah!
00:40Ah!
00:42I'm shitting on myself!
00:44Oh my god.
00:50Pretty deep out here.
00:53I've jumped off of lots of docks and piers in my life,
00:57but never out in the open like this.
00:59I have to worry about sharks, stingrays, all kinds of threats.
01:05It's crazy, though.
01:07Coming on this challenge is something I always wanted to do.
01:10My primitive survival skills are fire starting, shelter building, fishing, and also being a chef.
01:17I'm always going to find a way to eat.
01:19I'm ready for you, Thailand.
01:21My mama told me I can do this, and nobody knows you better than your mama.
01:29Apparently, I'm going to be surviving somewhere out here.
01:32It's a long way from Colorado.
01:34I am Alex Gilliam, and I am pumped to be here.
01:39Wow.
01:40The last year of my life has been a little bit crazy.
01:44I left my partner, I broke my leg, and I got sober.
01:47I just had kind of a wake-up moment where I went,
01:50holy , I need to make changes.
01:53I love the outdoors.
01:54I love being outside.
01:56I'm ready to get one with the jungle, one with nature.
01:59Most of my outdoor skills come from just being self-taught and being out in the woods with my buddies.
02:06I'm in the best shape of my life.
02:08I've got the willpower.
02:09I've got the strength.
02:10I've got it.
02:13It looks like this might be home for the next two weeks.
02:16This is a tiny little island.
02:19It doesn't look like there's much on it at all.
02:25Located 50 miles off the eastern coast of Thailand, Kho Tienuk is a tiny isolated outcrop of rugged
02:32mountainous terrain and wild interior jungles.
02:35Only half a mile in diameter, the island is home to venomous snakes, monitor lizards,
02:41and infestations of hungry rats.
02:44The island's three beaches are surrounded by razor sharp coral reefs and are teeming with
02:50reef sharks, poisonous sea snakes, and the deadly stonefish whose toxic dorsal fins make it the most lethal fish on
02:58the planet.
02:59With the approach of monsoon season, violent storms can quickly develop over the Gulf of Thailand and bombard the small
03:07island with heavy rain and strong winds for days.
03:13Let's go for a swim.
03:14Let's go for a swim.
03:15I'm going to keep my shoes on for now until we get past the coral.
03:19So that's going to cut my feet up something fierce.
03:22Let's go.
03:24Let's go.
03:29Let's get it, Thailand.
03:30Well, it looks like I'm swimming from here.
03:33I'm ready for this challenge.
03:35People often think because I'm young that I don't know what I'm doing, and I'm hoping to prove them wrong.
03:40As a woman, I can do anything I put my mind to.
03:43I don't know if there's any danger in this water.
03:45There's about to be.
03:58So glad I have my shoes on still.
04:00There's a bunch of really rocky coral that's all loose.
04:05It would just rip my feet to shreds if I was on it.
04:08This looks like absolute paradise, but I'm a little afraid it's going to be my hell.
04:17Bye, sandals.
04:22Thailand, baby.
04:23Can I take these shoes off?
04:25Because it's time to survive.
04:27Time to go see if I can find my partner.
04:29I hope they're as cool as me.
04:34Eager to meet my partner.
04:36I definitely don't want somebody that's going to be complaining or whining the whole time.
04:42Hey, hey.
04:44Hey, what's up, man?
04:45How's it going?
04:45How's it going?
04:46Hey, I'm Alex.
04:47Constance.
04:48Nice to meet you.
04:48Constance.
04:49Oh, it's nice to meet you.
04:50You're stoked to be here?
04:51I'm so stoked.
04:5214 Day Fan Challenge.
04:5314 Day Fan Challenge.
04:54Here we go.
04:55We're going to crush it.
04:56All the way to the end.
04:57All the way.
04:58I like your toes, dude.
04:59Yeah, right?
05:00You like the toes?
05:01I was kind of nervous at first on what kind of partner I have.
05:05And I saw my partner had a sparkly purple toenail.
05:08So I'm excited to get to know him a lot more.
05:11How are you from?
05:12I'm from Colorado.
05:13Born and raised in Colorado.
05:15How about you?
05:15South Carolina.
05:16South Carolina.
05:17She's being born and raised in the South.
05:18Nice.
05:19We learn fishing really early.
05:20Excellent.
05:21I'm always underwater.
05:22I'm in the lakes.
05:23Okay.
05:23Sweet.
05:24Okay, right on, right on.
05:26Constance, she's young.
05:27She's fired up.
05:28She's ready to go.
05:29I think she's going to have a lot of knowledge to bring to the table.
05:31I think I see our bags up here.
05:33Yeah, do you?
05:34Go.
05:35What'd you bring?
05:37I have a knife.
05:38Oh, hell yeah.
05:39Right on.
05:40Yeah.
05:40Chopped down the jungle.
05:41I've got a bug net.
05:44Okay.
05:44So I figure we can hide under this at night.
05:47In addition to their survival items,
05:49Alex and Constance have been given a pot, a fire starter,
05:52and a map of the island.
05:54So there's an island.
05:55So I came in through this front beach over here.
05:57Okay, yeah.
05:58And I think I came through that way.
06:00And so when I was coming up here, there's a clearing over here.
06:02I think it would be nice for our shelter.
06:04Okay, nice.
06:05And that actually looks like it's a water source.
06:07Okay.
06:08I think we'll be able to explore this whole thing.
06:11Yeah.
06:12We're going to have a pretty good idea of what's on here.
06:14The whole entire thing, yeah.
06:15Let's go check it out.
06:16Let's go check it out.
06:20To survive on this tiny island for 14 days,
06:24Constance and Alex plan to make cap in a small clearing
06:28between two of the beaches near their freshwater source.
06:32Everything here.
06:33The island looks like paradise, but it sure doesn't feel like it so far.
06:37It hurts.
06:38The foliage is really dense, so I'm having to, like, crawl under stuff.
06:43For our shelter, hoping to get it in the clear a little bit.
06:46Yeah, get out of all these ants all over the place.
06:49Yeah.
06:51Well, here's the spot.
06:53Okay, all right.
06:54Here we can at least see our ground.
06:57Yeah, okay, I like it.
06:57Have a clear understanding of that, clear it out.
06:59Kind of natural canopy happening.
07:02My concern is that we might be really exposed to the wind right here,
07:06but if we hug these rocks, that might help.
07:08Help, yeah.
07:09Like, right between here.
07:11And so we have the natural protection from the wind.
07:13Yeah.
07:14Okay, I like it.
07:15My big thing is, like, I want to get up off of the ground.
07:18I'm thinking we can put up a bed, like, right here.
07:21Make a raised platform.
07:23Yeah, a raised platform.
07:25So far, I'm really enjoying my time with Alex.
07:27Found a coconut.
07:29And I really appreciate my communication with him.
07:33How do you feel on starting fires?
07:36You want to give it a go?
07:37Yeah.
07:37I want to get a fire going ASAP.
07:39I think I'm actually just going to go down to the beach
07:42and see if there's any stuff that's washed up that we can use
07:45to make this platform out of.
07:47Like many islands off the coast of Thailand,
07:50Kote Nook has struggled with trash from the mainland
07:53washing ashore during the monsoon season
07:55and covering the beaches with waste, much of it plastic.
07:59We're going to go get some rope from the trash beach.
08:02I'm bracing my inner trash panda.
08:05Trash city.
08:07We got rope.
08:08This is going to help us to lash our bed together.
08:11Let's get some bamboo.
08:15I've been using the same method to light my friend's cigarettes
08:19for the past couple of weeks.
08:20So it might have better work.
08:29Hello, girl.
08:32Hello, girl.
08:34I see smoke.
08:37Wow, look at this.
08:39You're the fire master.
08:42That's a good fire right there.
08:44First naked inner fray win.
08:46I am gawking over that one.
08:49That is nice.
08:50Let's kick ass.
08:51That's like, that's what we need, right?
08:53Yeah.
08:54I'm going to go see if I can get any sticks.
08:56We're about to start on our beds, which we have bamboo.
09:01And my partner's cutting some white branches right now.
09:03I'll be able to use this natural fork to put some bamboo on.
09:08And then that's going to be what supports all the rails for the platform.
09:12Then we'll just try and lash stuff together.
09:15Oh, .
09:15Papaya tree.
09:18It's really hard, but we'll give that a shot.
09:23See if this plan works at all.
09:26Kind of want to talk to you about the platform and see what your thoughts are.
09:29We can cut these down to approximate size, get them like staked in, and then we can put some of
09:35these bigger ones across.
09:37Yeah.
09:38Wedged between two large rocks, Alex and Constance's bed will be held up by four Y branches for support,
09:44bridged by two cross beams, and layered with recovered bamboo for the sleeping surface.
09:52And then we will have the bamboo.
09:55Yeah, so that'll work.
09:57Get this bed built.
09:59Only thing is, bamboo doesn't really grow here.
10:04So the bamboo we're working with so far is all washed up, so we have to find our special certain
10:10pieces to get this done.
10:12So far, so good.
10:17How do your feet feel on all this coral?
10:19Terrible.
10:20Okay.
10:20The grounds have been really rough on our feet, so making shoes is a priority.
10:26Fortunately, my partner collected a bundle of rope.
10:29I think rope shoes are the most.
10:34We're just getting the last plank on the bed.
10:38I could probably knock y'all right here.
10:40Okay.
10:40Okay.
10:40All right.
10:45You want to go try and find water?
10:47Yeah, I'm down.
10:49Check out that map.
10:50We're getting towards the end of day one.
10:52There.
10:53We're going there.
10:54Yeah.
10:55I need something to drink.
10:56I'm so thirsty.
10:57Okay.
10:58Okay.
10:59Okay.
10:59This is looking like something.
11:02Oh, look.
11:03It's a little cave.
11:04Is there water in there?
11:05Look at that.
11:07Water, baby!
11:10Oh, wow.
11:12How are we going to get this water out?
11:13We can use our, uh...
11:15Our shoes.
11:16I'm going to tie two ropes to the side of the pot.
11:20I'm just going to lower it down.
11:20I'm going to lower it down.
11:21We're going to bring that back up.
11:22I'm already so hot.
11:23I'm so thirsty.
11:25Here we go.
11:25The water looks so clean and still.
11:28Cool job.
11:32There's some good water.
11:34Hell yeah.
11:35All right.
11:36How fresh is that going to taste?
11:44Salt.
11:45So salty.
11:46Not worth drinking at all.
11:48This is just ocean water at this point.
11:50Dang, that sucks.
11:52I really was hoping that was going to be fresh water,
11:54but this could be a problem.
11:57I've got to find water.
11:58I can't do this without water.
12:05Ugh.
12:06So salty.
12:08Oh, .
12:08I'm not going to make it very long
12:10if I don't have something to drink.
12:12I'm already so hot.
12:14I'm so thirsty.
12:15I'm starting to get a little discouraged.
12:18That water that was in there,
12:20I think was just from the tide coming up.
12:24Yeah.
12:24And it like infiltrating underneath the ground.
12:27At least we have our coconuts.
12:29We've got the coconuts.
12:30We got our coconuts.
12:32This island is full of coconuts.
12:35Overall, I had a good day one.
12:38I drank coconut water.
12:39Good?
12:40I have a bed.
12:41I have fire.
12:42Day two, I'm hoping to get some fresh water,
12:46not coconuts.
12:48It's coconut water.
12:49It's not quite, like, thirst quenching.
13:03Day two, out here looking for firewood.
13:06It's so hot and so thirsty.
13:08I can just feel my brain is, like, tending towards negative.
13:13Yeah.
13:14I don't know if I'm going to make it to tonight
13:16if I don't find water today.
13:17I know we've got one good coconut left.
13:22Oh, .
13:24This is actually already open.
13:26Is it bad?
13:28I don't know.
13:31Yeah, I don't think we should drink that.
13:33It's rotten.
13:34The meat inside is, like, yellowed and falling off.
13:39That sucks.
13:40That was our last thing to have any type of drink.
13:46Oh, .
13:47And I lose it, gang.
13:49Like, my mind just went into a tailspin of, like,
13:52I got to get out of here.
13:53Goodbye.
13:54I can't.
13:55I can't do this.
13:57Why am I doing this to myself?
14:01I'm trying to stay in a positive headspace,
14:03but I'm just like, if I don't have water,
14:05I don't have a lot to keep me here.
14:09Yeah, other than your willpower, right?
14:11Other than my willpower, yeah.
14:12This is the only time that I can prove to myself
14:14that I can stick it out.
14:16Yeah.
14:17But whether I want to stick it out, I guess,
14:19is a whole different thing.
14:22Well.
14:22But we're going to find water.
14:23Yeah, I was going to say.
14:24I'm going to go find water.
14:25I'm sending all the water, energy, and air
14:26because it's something that I need and you need.
14:29All right.
14:29I'm going to go find water.
14:30It's going to happen.
14:31It's going to be great.
14:32Time to buck up.
14:34Let's shift gears.
14:36Let's change our headspace and see how we feel.
14:40I've noticed my partner is feeling a little down.
14:44I want to go look for food to make him feel better.
14:48If I can't offer water, at least I can offer food.
14:51That's the chef in me.
14:52I found some strawberry basil over here.
14:55Thai lime basil.
14:57Bigger leaves.
15:00That's your crab.
15:02Growing up in the low country of South Carolina, I've always been by the water.
15:06Fishing is something that's always been a part of my life.
15:10There's another one.
15:13These crabs seem to like to float on things.
15:16So now I'm walking the beach looking for more floating objects.
15:20Another crab.
15:21And as I can begin to find more floating pieces of wood, I'll find more crab.
15:26Look at that.
15:28Look at that boy.
15:30Got five crabs.
15:33For now, I think I did good on the crab, huh?
15:37I'm going to go heat these up and have myself a nice crab stew.
15:45Oh, God.
15:46I just feel so...
15:48My mouth is so dry.
15:50I'm hoping that I can bring my game up and get us some water.
15:54It does...
15:55It almost seems like there's been some kind of rain flow through here.
16:00On the face of it, there's like a little bit of wear and like extra detritus and dirt on it,
16:07which in my mind means that there's been something running off of it.
16:11And then when that slows, the detritus and that dirt stays on that rock face.
16:17Is that water?
16:20Oh, .
16:20I think that is water.
16:23It's got to be real brackish.
16:25We're just so close to sea level that I don't see how that could be non-salt water.
16:31I think I'm just going to stick my hand in there and we'll give it a go.
16:44I think that's good water.
16:49I don't care if I get giardia.
16:52I'll drink all that.
16:54We found water.
16:55We found water.
16:56Not only did we find water, but it is clean.
16:59It tastes great.
17:02Oh, God damn.
17:03That's good.
17:03.
17:04At this point, I feel like I've had so many ups and downs in my emotional state today.
17:09Okay, we can do this.
17:11We're going to make it.
17:12As long as we have water, we can make it.
17:21Constance!
17:22Yeah?
17:22We got water.
17:24We got water?
17:25We got water and it's close.
17:27Yeah, I got to figure out what to do with my food.
17:29I got some basil, crabs, some papaya.
17:34Nice.
17:35I was going to cut a little coconut.
17:36Well, how about this?
17:37Let's get that cooking.
17:39I'll get a couple of trash water bottles, fill them up, and then we can pour them in there and
17:45get the water boiled.
17:46I needed this water so badly.
17:49Reduce, reuse, recycle.
17:51Constance has like this whole crab boil pot going that looks great.
17:57Everything's going to be okay.
17:59Everything's going to be okay.
18:00Basil, papaya, coconut, crab.
18:04That looks awesome.
18:06We got two bottles of water back in the pot.
18:09So we got ourselves some nice, safe water to drink.
18:14Let's have a crab.
18:17Oh, yeah.
18:19Basil is a nice touch, Chef.
18:21Very good.
18:23Well, I'll just grab the papaya.
18:25Tastes like a salty french fry.
18:27Each bite of it tasted like something I would get back home at one of the crab shacks.
18:34I am so, so happy to have a partner that's out here making dishes and cooking.
18:40She's the best partner I could have hoped for.
18:42Amazing fun.
18:45I'm sorry I wavered on you.
18:47It's okay.
18:48I'm glad that the universe did give you something.
18:51This team is getting stronger by the day.
18:54Growing and we're learning together.
18:55Whoo!
18:57It's day 14.
18:59Already, is it?
19:00That's where we're going.
19:08I wonder if it's going to rain a little bit.
19:12I just feel like I feel a raindrop.
19:14Don't even play with me right now.
19:16Mother Earth.
19:18We're not really ready for rain at all, are we?
19:21I want to move our fire a little bit more over here.
19:24So, if it does rain now, we will always have heat.
19:29Getting wet.
19:30I am getting wet.
19:32You want to throw this log in there?
19:34It is surprising how fast you feel the cold.
19:37Once your whole body is wet and wind comes through, it just drives down your temperature so, so fast.
19:43I might just wrap the bug nest around me for heat.
19:47Cold as .
19:48It's definitely motivation to go get some palm fronds and get something put up above our heads.
19:57It was just pouring rain, by the way.
20:00I'm going to get some sand from my fireplace.
20:02A couple of stones, too.
20:05A good bucket.
20:07Now that it's stopped raining, we're going to go get some things that are going to help us for the
20:11next time it rains.
20:13There we go.
20:16Hoping to get at least 10 of these.
20:19I think that's going to be more than enough to get us some pretty decent wind and rain cover over
20:25the shelter.
20:34There's a thunderhead in the distance, and it is just barreling straight down for us.
20:39We need to get a roof over our heads fast, because we need to stay dry tonight or we're going
20:45to freeze.
20:46Oh, boy.
20:48Storm's coming.
20:50Nice.
20:51Yeah.
20:53It's the first time I've actually built a shelter where I needed it to work.
20:59You know, when you're just messing around, it's like, oh, yeah, this looks cool.
21:03And then now I'm really actually like, is this going to work?
21:06Windy as .
21:07And I can see just like a wall of water coming our way.
21:15It is gale force winds.
21:17We got to hunker down, because this storm is getting bad.
21:21I'm cold as .
21:27I'm cold as .
21:29It is gale force winds.
21:31We got to hunker down, because this storm is getting bad.
21:35I'm so glad that you moved the fire in here.
21:38Survival trick 101.
21:40Keep your fires safe always.
21:42We'll just have a roof up for tonight.
21:44I'm just going to wait this out.
21:46These storms are unpredictable.
21:47They could last 10 minutes, or they could just keep going until the last day of this challenge.
21:52I hope this stops soon.
22:00Just trying to stay dry.
22:02Here comes the wind.
22:04Here comes the rain again.
22:05So we're hunkering down in the shelter.
22:08So windy.
22:09It's like we're in the middle of the ocean is what it feels like.
22:12We are in the middle of the ocean.
22:13We are in the middle of the ocean.
22:15We are in the middle of the ocean.
22:19It just started raining again.
22:22It was a lot like me.
22:24Hook up to have to reinforce.
22:32Another day, another storm.
22:33It's absolute here.
22:35It won't stop.
22:36It can't stop.
22:38It's just brutal.
22:45There's that sunshine.
22:48Day seven, halfway there.
22:52I'm pumped, I'm exhausted, but yeah, day seven, here we go.
22:58Our body feels a little different today.
23:00I'm thinking maybe it's the storms, not eating as much as I usually eat.
23:06The low amount of food is starting to catch up with me for sure.
23:08Yeah, fatigue.
23:10Probably gonna dig through the sand a little.
23:12Give me some muscles.
23:14Nice.
23:14Get us some muscles.
23:16I'm gonna see if I can find some crabs or some other type of shellfish.
23:20I gotta get firewood.
23:22Yeah.
23:23Similar to like an NFL team, I think Constance is the offense and I'm the defense.
23:28I'm more minded about the shelter, she's out there getting food.
23:32So we're both contributing, but just in different ways.
23:35I'm going to the other beach.
23:38This is a good fishing beach.
23:41This beach is stinky beach.
23:44But I know from past experience, the stinkier the beach, the more you're prone to fine sea life.
23:53Stingrays, they like to bury themselves in sand like that.
23:56I touch one of their bags, I'm done.
23:59I'm out of here.
24:02No time for a mad tap.
24:05Clams and mussels, they like to attach to these rocks and they like to dig into the sand.
24:10So I'm just flipping over these big rocks.
24:14Got a muscle hotbed right here.
24:18Whoa.
24:20Big boys.
24:22Got some big, big muscles.
24:25I'm walking around, I'm grabbing all these items.
24:28It's just like I'm at the grocery store shopping.
24:30What?
24:31Got a clam.
24:36Ooh, whatever that was is alive.
24:38What the heck?
24:40Is that a fish?
24:41And it just squirmed in my hand.
24:44What kind of fish is this?
24:46I'm gonna just scoot it along to the shore so I can get a good look at it.
24:54It's pretty ugly.
24:57It's orange spiky fins.
25:00Oh my gosh.
25:02I think this is a stonefish.
25:06Highly poisonous, highly venomous.
25:09I'm so grateful.
25:10It didn't steam me because if it did, if it got me, I would know.
25:14I would be in the most excruciating pain possible.
25:18Holy freaking hell.
25:20And this is where I get my food.
25:22Anytime I take a step in here, all that's gonna be on my head, stonefish, stonefish, stonefish.
25:27The stonefish is gonna take food out of my stomach for the rest of this challenge.
25:31What the absolute hell.
25:43I had to switch my food.
25:45I'm really nervous to go back in the water because of stonefish.
25:49Fortunately, this island is full of so much vegetation.
25:52If you're looking and you're keeping your eyes peeled, I'm sure you can find something.
25:58Apples!
26:00It's the custard apple.
26:01I read about these and I've been looking for them.
26:04And here they are in abundance.
26:06I hope I can find some ripe ones.
26:09This one.
26:10See?
26:11How squishy.
26:14Oh.
26:17Oh, that's so sweet.
26:18That's so good.
26:19I'm gonna look around.
26:21See if I can find some more soft ones to take back to my partner.
26:23Okay.
26:28I got apples!
26:30Oh yeah, I wanted to try those.
26:32Constance is so good about getting food, which is amazing.
26:36It is so sweet.
26:38It's crazy.
26:39It's so, so sweet.
26:41I'm eating these custard apples.
26:42I'm loving them.
26:44It's kind of addictive at this point.
26:46Because you're a girl who loves you the way I love custard apples.
26:50I'm thinking, well, if the fruit hasn't filled me, the seeds may be good too.
26:56I eat about maybe 20 of them.
26:58I love seeds.
27:01So good.
27:07Are you supposed to eat apple seeds?
27:10No.
27:13I feel like I'm about to throw up.
27:15Oh, really?
27:16F***.
27:18Custard apple seeds contain a neurotoxin, a nonosin, which causes gastrointestinal irritation
27:24and could lead to neurological damage when eaten in large amounts.
27:28Bad seeds.
27:30It's like fever symptoms.
27:32Like, I feel really cold even though I'm not cold.
27:35I feel nauseous.
27:37I'm really worried that Constance is in some deep s*** here.
27:42This could be really bad.
27:43Can we get a medic?
27:45Medic!
27:48Bad seeds.
27:50F***.
27:51Constance is really not feeling well.
27:53Can we get a medic?
27:54So I call out for a medic and fortunately they're there within 10, 15 minutes.
27:59Constance was eating a custard apple and the seeds of those.
28:05How do you feel?
28:07I feel like I'm gonna throw up.
28:09I'm very cold.
28:11Can you get your up?
28:12I'm really hoping this isn't gonna be a cause for a medical tap.
28:16She's been doing a lot.
28:18I don't know if I can make it out here by myself.
28:21You stole my pain, right?
28:23No.
28:25Stomach pain is a symptom of severe poisoning and would require immediate medical evacuation.
28:31I give to you some drink.
28:33To prevent this, the medic gets Constance a solution to induce vomiting and purge any undigested seeds from her stomach.
28:46I'm hoping she's able to get it out of her system.
28:48Okay.
28:50I know if she really, really doesn't want to tap, but if it's a medical tap, there's nothing we can
28:55do.
28:57I'm seeing little black specks in it.
28:59Nice.
29:00Good.
29:06Maybe that's the seed.
29:09Oh, are you feeling?
29:10I feel less nauseous than I've thrown up.
29:13I feel better.
29:14No pain.
29:15I'm good.
29:16Okay.
29:17You can't go lay down.
29:18After purging the undigested seeds and no longer experiencing stomach pain, Constance is cleared by the medic to remain in
29:25the challenge.
29:26My custard apples has betrayed me.
29:29Baby danger out here.
29:30Baby out of control.
29:32Baby wild card.
29:33I don't know.
29:33So many new names are coming from this.
29:36Almost took myself out with custard apple seeds.
29:41Imagine I was gone right now.
29:44I'd be so upset with myself.
29:46From now on, I'm just going to try to be really cautious.
29:50You can't have danger without caution.
29:53Ah, .
29:54You okay?
29:55I've been on myself.
29:58You pooping?
30:00Ah!
30:03On myself!
30:06Holy .
30:07That's disgusting.
30:09Oh, my God.
30:12Is it coming out fast?
30:13Yeah, like liquid.
30:14What the ?
30:17Liquid-y poop.
30:24How's your stomach?
30:25My stomach's fine.
30:27Still no pain?
30:28No pain.
30:29No pain.
30:45So I just heard something.
30:54It's a rat.
30:55I think it got attracted to all the extra food we've been dropping.
31:01So we'll try and be more careful.
31:03But I'm going to sleep.
31:05So hopefully they don't bug us too much.
31:18Morning, Constance.
31:19Good morning.
31:20Day 10?
31:22Yeah, extraction's coming up soon.
31:24Yeah.
31:25We should start thinking about how we're going to get out of here if we got to get pretty far
31:29out in the ocean.
31:30I'm thinking we're going to want some kind of flotation device.
31:34We're going to get picked up by a boat.
31:36So we need to build something to get ourselves off of the island and into the water so the boats
31:42can see us.
31:43I want to build it on that beach that we're going to get extracted out of.
31:47Yeah, for sure.
31:48That water is so beautiful.
31:51I just wish there weren't any stonefish in it.
31:53Same.
31:55So what do you think?
31:56You want to just kind of split up and look for different stuff we can use?
32:00Yeah, yeah.
32:01Do our own thing.
32:02I don't think she wants to have the same craft.
32:06So I'm thinking my own craft.
32:08She's thinking her own craft.
32:09That's okay with me.
32:11I'm using all kinds of junk.
32:13This is probably designed to float.
32:17I'm thinking of making a platform that's centered around a large flotation.
32:21As I'm approaching the water, I'm just remembering Constance's stonefish.
32:27We know there's stonefish in there.
32:29So hopefully on extraction day we can stay up above the water.
32:34Once I'm really putting my full weight on this, this whole thing is probably going to go underwater.
32:39So what I want to do is I want to run a plank at the bottom of this
32:44to make like a kind of an outrigger to kind of help it balance so that I'm not going back
32:49and forth as much.
32:52I'm going to make the most kick-ass paddleboard out of here.
32:55Get these tied together really good and then I'm going to go under it.
33:01Put my floaty stuff.
33:03Kind of create a baseboard under it, floaty things.
33:06I don't want anything breaking off on me, sir.
33:11Everything takes energy to do out here.
33:14Because I haven't been eating, I haven't been drinking as much, every little weight just feels that much heavier.
33:21I think I probably won't actually test this until the day of.
33:25I know that this floats, that's the most important thing.
33:28I'm happy with that today.
33:31Alex, you want to see this?
33:33About to give it a good old float test.
33:35All right, let's see it.
33:39Yeah, there you go.
33:41She floats.
33:42She holds me.
33:44There's one more adjustment I want to make.
33:46I want to keep this backside a little more buoyancy.
33:49I mean, but yeah, I'm basically done.
33:51Nice.
33:56I'm just going to add this last piece to my floatation device.
34:02Cut this middle out.
34:05Boom.
34:06Things lashed, lashed, lashed.
34:08Pretty confident that this won't fall apart.
34:11This is genuine rope, which is such a blessing to have.
34:15There we go.
34:16I'm excited to paddle it out.
34:22Night 12.
34:25Let those rats come back.
34:27I'm stabbed.
34:27Yeah.
34:28I see the rat, I'm bang.
34:30Bang!
34:47So, I just saw another little something.
34:53Just like, hopping along.
35:07Ah!
35:10Something bit my toe.
35:12God damn it!
35:17Oh, crab!
35:19Found a crab.
35:20What?
35:20I'm raking up the coral, and a little crab runs out at me.
35:24He's so feisty.
35:26So, I capture him thinking I'll use him for bait.
35:30He's taking your crab for a walk.
35:33I think I'll name him Johnny.
35:35He was really aggressive, and then I gave him some coconut.
35:38There you go, my boy.
35:39Giving little crabby a bath.
35:42I'm starting to love Johnny a lot, and I don't want to use him for bait anymore.
35:47Bye, boy.
35:48He went back in the water, still feisty, still ready to go.
35:53Oh, Johnny's trying to fight.
35:56Oh, that's what he does, he made the other one run.
35:59Still in warrior mode, just like his mama.
36:02Ah, that's my boy!
36:07Ah!
36:10That's gonna be my toe.
36:13Rat.
36:14Didn't get me bad or anything, but...
36:16This is what I want to kill.
36:20I mean, I don't think it's anywhere around here now.
36:23I'm sure to wrap up.
36:26Ready to go home.
36:32Good morning.
36:33It's day 14.
36:35It's time to extract, baby.
36:37I'm super nervous.
36:39There's a lot of dangers in this water.
36:41If the water is really raucous or if it's windy, you could step on a stonefish, you could step on
36:46a sea urchin.
36:47We might not be able to make it out to the boat.
36:49Let's hope these work and we get out there.
36:52Let's hope they work.
36:53We'll see what happens.
36:54It's the maiden voyage of the limping turtle and the sea goddess.
36:58The goddess of the sea.
36:59Goddess of the sea.
37:00SS goddess of the sea.
37:02Doing everything we can to get out this island ASAP.
37:06So we're over here on this beach.
37:08There's a nice sandy channel right in the middle.
37:10We got to get out, you know, into kind of the open ocean.
37:14Open water.
37:14Yeah, into the open ocean.
37:15Get onto that boat and get out of here.
37:17Let's go.
37:18All right, let's go.
37:19The survivalists will walk their flotation devices out of the bay through a narrow break in the reef, navigating the
37:26spiny urchins and stonefish hiding among the coral.
37:29As the water deepens, they'll battle wind and currents as they swim their crafts into the open water to meet
37:37their extraction point.
37:38Let's go.
37:39We're getting off of this island.
37:42Let's see if we can find that channel.
37:45I think we're on the channel.
37:47Yeah, there's that nice sand.
37:49It's more sand than coral, so I'm happy.
37:51More sand than coral.
37:52Still thinking about that stonefish.
37:55This is the same beach where I encountered my stonefish.
37:58There is a stonefish lurking.
38:00Yeah, just trying to not think about a stonefish right now.
38:04Looking at my steps.
38:06Oh, yeah, there's that wind.
38:08I think this is as deep as we've been yet.
38:11Thinking I need to get on the float.
38:13I think they'll hold, but we'll see.
38:17I don't know how well our devices are going to hold up.
38:20As soon as big waves start hitting, I have no idea if things are going to fall apart.
38:24Nothing like open water to test a watercraft.
38:29Perfect paddleboard.
38:32I can ride away if I really wanted to.
38:37A little further.
38:38Just a little further.
38:41The wind is pushing me back.
38:44We got it.
38:48It's our home, we're home!
38:51Yes!
38:52Yeah!
38:56Let's go!
38:59Just keep going!
39:00I'm coming!
39:02Come on!
39:04Even though I have the prize, I see that boat, and we're home, baby.
39:28Getting onto the boat feels like an absolute miracle.
39:31I cannot believe that this whole ordeal is finally over.
39:36Yeah, baby!
39:39Touching that ladder, I feel on top of the world.
39:42Can't believe I did it.
39:44Mama, I made it. I'm a true survivalist.
39:51It feels so good. I feel accomplished.
39:53And I'm so glad that Constance is here by my side.
39:57Every single second of these 14 days has been a trial.
40:02I can't believe I thought about tapping.
40:04This sensation that I have right now is unparalleled to anything else in all of my life.
40:09I feel really proud of myself.
40:13Now that I've been through this challenge, if in my future I'm downing myself and thinking I can't get through
40:19something,
40:20I'm going to think, dig deep, you've got this.
40:22After 14 days, Alex lost a total of 29 pounds.
40:26But his PSR rises from 4.9 to 5.5.
40:36The fact that I almost died twice since being here.
40:39I definitely feel like this challenge showed the Baby Danger name and living proof.
40:44From superfan on the couch to superfan on the boat, baby!
40:49And to any legends watching this, I just want to say thank you.
40:53Because I have a piece of each and every one of your survival skills and my survival skills.
40:59From fire starting to shelter building, everything you've learned from neck end to Fred,
41:03you can actually use on these challenges.
41:06Constance dropped 28 pounds and sees her PSR increase from 5.2 to 5.7.
41:13What an aggressive spirit! I wouldn't have wanted to do it with anybody!
41:17Hell yeah!
41:18I'm so grateful to have a new blood brother!
41:20New blood brother right here!
41:21Yay!
41:24Baby!
41:26Let's go!
41:27Let's f***ing go!
41:28Yay!
41:29Yay!
