WILDLIFE TRAFFIC JAM! ANIMALS BRING ROADS TO A STANDSTILL WITH PIX AND VID By Shuk Yee Tsang Incredible footage shows cars brought to a halt as wild animals take over a road. Wildlife photographer Andrew Aveley from South Africa filmed the scenes in Kruger National Park, where nature quite literally has the right of way. One dramatic clip captures a massive herd of buffalo surging across the road in what appears to be a mini stampede, Over a short period, multiple waves of animals rushed through, completely blocking the route. In other moments, lions are seen strolling across the road, one a rare white lion. Another scene shows an elephant mother and calf, with the adult raising its trunk as if greeting the photographer. Andrew said: “This massive herd of buffalo on a less-travelled road in Kruger caught wind of a predator and created a mini stampede. “This was one of four that we experienced over 20 minutes, with the entire herd of a few hundred animals moving through. Viewers were left amazed by the scenes, with many comparing the encounters to a real-life wildlife traffic jam. One viewer said: “ “Wild dogs were like: ‘What’s up?’ Elephant is like: ‘Man whatever!’ Wild dogs are like: ‘Yeah that’s what we thought!’ Elephant is like: ‘WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!?’” Another viewer said: "First time I've heard an animal talk. That elephant just said MOVE!!!" END
