00:00We might have a playoff preview here tonight.
00:02Lakers, Thunder, nine-point spread.
00:03How about that?
00:05Yeah, this should be a lot of fun to follow here tonight.
00:08I do think that it's kind of impossible to look at this game
00:14not through this MVP race lens that we have going on.
00:19It's interesting, though, right?
00:21Because Luka is somewhat a part of the conversation,
00:25and yet the odds would tell you it's really just Shea versus Wemby right now,
00:3130-1 for Luka.
00:32Jokic also having maybe somehow the best statistical career of his season
00:37and having no chance to win league MVP is incredible,
00:43as he's priced now at 100-1.
00:46I think the trick is, again, if just what's the Luka number
00:53that anyone feels comfortable betting under,
00:55where you go, okay, they've adjusted it too much for the moment.
00:58Like 32-1 against the Thunder defense isn't easy to come by.
01:0230-1 for SGA, he usually gets there.
01:08So, I mean, is it just kind of a superstar special in a game like this?
01:13I guess maybe the question I would almost put back to you guys,
01:17and maybe it's rhetorical because there is no legitimate answer,
01:21is there anything Luka and the Lakers can do to actually have Donchich
01:25in this MVP race where we start to ask ourselves,
01:30maybe Luka's going to win this award?
01:34Joe?
01:36Not as long as Wemby Yama finishes it out.
01:39I just don't see him overtaking, you know, that kid.
01:43That's the problem here.
01:45I mean, all things being equal, you know, L.A. market certainly is going to garner
01:50the kind of consideration there, top of mind.
01:53Those were all popularity contests anyway.
01:55But what Wemby Yama is doing, unless he sits out the rest of the way
02:01to the postseason, it's kind of hard for me to fathom anybody takes it.
02:05Even SGA, it just feels like Wemby Yama is on a different level right now.
