00:07I'm good, I'm good. Nice to be here.
00:14From the very beginning, Abhilash was very particular on the soundscape of the film.
00:19He wanted to make it very natural.
00:23All the races, you know, and give a proper immersive feel to the audience.
00:27So, for that we had to record, like if there were 100 bikes, you know, at least we need to
00:30record on 50 bikes.
00:32We actually went to the same tracks, we recorded the bikes after the shoot though.
00:36So, you know, my team went there and we recorded.
00:38You've gone inside the detail of the lead bike and the antagonist bikes and to create a separation between the
00:46tonality of both.
00:47You've gone in all the details of it.
00:49Gibran's score is also like, it's blended well with the sound effects.
00:57And Kanan Kanpat only mixed the movie.
01:00The background score is the re-recording mixer.
01:03So, he's got a really good balance between the score and the sound effects.
01:08So, yeah, I think the soundscape wise, Abhilash is quite distinct in terms of the emotion and also places where
01:18it has to be really cutting through and very authentic to make all the bikers fly by starting the track,
01:27arriving together.
01:28And like how it's going to sound like in a real, like a drag event or a dirt event.
01:36We've tried to create that atmosphere.
01:38I think Kanan Sir and Gibran's score has like helped us to create the entire soundscape.
01:43And obviously the director's vision has helped to create the good soundscape.
01:53Biker being a sports film, so it had its own challenges.
01:58And you know, you don't get many films like sports-based, especially bikes.
02:02But there are a lot of bikes involved.
02:05And we have to be very authentic on where to make sure, you know, like each bike sound different and
02:10the right bike.
02:13The right sound for the right bike.
02:14So, yeah, it was a bit, it was actually very challenging to do this, yeah.
02:22It has like a good adrenaline rush towards what the director has been trying to.
02:28He's tried to like explain what happened in this dirt racers and there's a storyline behind it.
02:36So, it's a good balance between cinematism and a little bit of realistic biking.
02:43So, yeah, we've had a really great adventure to record all the bikes in Indonesia.
02:49And UV and Abhilaj gave us good space to like go on each detail of the bikes.
02:56And I think good detailing is there which would make the audience like, you know, little edge of the seat
03:04in terms of the entire entire lane and the story, the way it's going.
03:08Yeah.
03:12We have recorded like the actual people who performed the dupe and the stunt people who performed in the movies.
03:19We had like separate tracks booked for them and we've mic'd the bikes in different perspective.
03:28Like from the bike perspective and external perspective and from the engine perspective as per the shot of the visual,
03:36we've tried to match it.
03:37Yeah, we've recorded like all the vehicles and those speeds in those kind of events and those kind of atmospheres.
03:45Yes.
03:46That only is giving a very natural feel in many of the scenes which you would be viewing soon.
03:53Yeah.
03:57Yeah, there are some certain sequences in that which is very cinematic.
04:01So, we have to go a little over the board in some sequences.
04:05So, you know, put the high-speed shots and all that.
04:08So, we'll have to go a little overboard.
04:10We'll have to add some more elements to it.
04:13Like, you know, certain bangs and some rumbles and, you know, slow down the bike sounds.
04:22You know, make it sound a little different and then cut to the original bike sound.
04:25So, there were a lot of sequences like that during the race also where it slows down and then again
04:30cut back to the original sound.
04:33So, we had to do some tweaking and stuff.
04:35So, you know, so that the audience don't get bored always listening to the bike sound.
04:40So, we'll have to do some changes in between.
04:42So, yeah, that was pretty interesting and also the mixing engineer, Kanan Ganpat.
04:46So, he did a fabulous job in the mix.
04:49So, which helped the whole scene to get elevated.
04:55Like, the story travels from a different era to different era.
04:59It comes from something like two-stroke and then it comes to four-stroke.
05:03Different periods.
05:05Different…
05:05It had happened from the Coimbatur local track to a racetrack in Germany.
05:12So, I think the bikes change.
05:15So, accordingly, the way they drive, everything changes.
05:19And all of this has been tried to like, you know, make it sync with those events.
05:25Overall, it's worked out really well.
05:31Yeah, yeah, I think Gibran, we've been working since Rakshasan, right? Rakshasan.
05:35Yeah, Rakshasan.
05:35From then, a lot of films, yeah, yeah.
05:37So, he's like a brother, you know, he's fun to work with.
05:40So, he knows what we do, like where the sound is going to take the lead.
05:47So, he won't score much over there or maybe he'll just leave silence.
05:50And we also know, okay, this is where he's going to put music high.
05:54So, it's a very…
05:57We understand each other's work properly.
06:00So, yeah.
06:01So, it's become easier for all of us in the mixing stage to, you know, make it sound better.
06:06He has a very good sense of sound designing and sound effects.
06:10Where it comes, not just with blowing up, with background score.
06:14I mean, like, yeah.
06:16In that way, I think it's a good combination.
06:19Yeah.
06:19And, yeah.
06:20It's a good cohesive team.
06:22Gibran is not a agent.
06:24He has anything.
06:25We'll send him this video.
06:26Uncut version.
06:32Amazing.
06:32What else to say?
06:33Of course, it'll be amazing.
06:35Yeah, yeah.
06:36It's going to be immersive.
06:37It's going to be immersive.
06:38It's going to be immersive.
06:40Like, people are going to actually feel they're actually in the…
06:43In the race track.
06:44The race track is going to be like…
06:45Yeah.
06:45It's called like Lionheart.
06:48Lionheart.
06:48Yeah.
06:48The sound is going to be like Lionheart.
06:50Lionheart.
