00:01Anna Kendrick is marking her directorial debut this year with a film that has just
00:05been snapped up by Netflix and its premise comes from a genuinely creepy real life story.
00:10Kendrick also stars as the lead in the film, called Woman of the Hour, which is based on
00:14the true story of Cheryl Bradshaw who, in 1978, went on the dating game as the episode's
00:20bachelorette.
00:21So far, so normal, right?
00:23Only then-active serial killer Rodney L. Sala was a contestant on the same episode and ended
00:29up winning it too, meaning he got a date with Bradshaw.
00:32L. Sala was eventually caught and found guilty of five murders but is suspected to have committed
00:37as many as 130, three of which were said to have been committed immediately after his dating
00:42game appearance.
00:43No word currently on when this one is going to get a wide release but it will be distributed
00:46in the US via Netflix and is coming to international markets through different channels.
00:51Woman of the Hour has also received some very positive reviews so it looks like Kendrick's
00:55debut could be a strong one.
