00:04I think in Ireland we do have something particular and again the sense of the
00:09spiritual and that the book is more than just an object that it has some sort of
00:15spirit of its own that it contains knowledge that has to be discovered the
00:23easiest way of describing the great book is to say that it's a modern
00:26manuscript and it is made in vellum it is bound in board and it is illuminated by
00:35the great artists of the late 20th century
00:43it comes back time and time again to the sense that the book made it through us
00:47that we've just a service of the book
00:51if you imagine 140 poets 120 artists 9 composers a box maker a silversmith if
01:06you think of the combination of thoughts and imaginings of each and every one of
01:14those so this book is the manifestation of the of the intersections of all that
01:24thinking
