00:00uh I there isn't one there isn't okay I was gonna I was gonna ask I mean the TV is
00:05on I could I
00:06could there isn't one I don't have to go through any uh you know changing carriers changing settings
00:11I think I could just go look for a channel but no games that that's that's not good still within
00:17the first week of the season opening night was last Wednesday yeah Texas Baltimore 635 is the
00:24first game today you've been to games there uh in Baltimore yes right numerous yeah like it a lot
00:31like it a lot what do you remember most what do you what do you uh what are your fondest
00:35memories
00:35uh my fondest memory is getting a really cool old style with the cartoonish Oriole bird hat much like
00:45the flat brim one I now have not that I expect anyone out there to remember this but part of
00:50the reason I bought this Orioles hat last season is because we got a hat like that for I don't
00:57think
00:57both of the boys I think just Owen wanted one so we got him one and as we're walking into
01:02the ballpark
01:02we were walking in through like through center field where Boog's barbecue is located and Boog Powell
01:10just a massive figure from you know I guess 60s and 70s baseball yep was there and he greeted
01:20us as we walked through the gates and said hi nice to meet you I'm Boog Powell and stuck out
01:25a hand
01:25and shook my hand like swallowed my entire hand with his hand and Owen met him and I think he
01:32said
01:33son would you like me to sign that hat for you and he signed the hat for him and then
01:37we left it in the
01:38hotel room in Baltimore and we left oh uh was that an easy yes so yeah oh yeah it was
01:44I loved I mean
01:45what does Owen know I mean he was eight maybe I don't know you'd always I mean there's a line
01:51of
01:51player at you know below which you would not want the signature but if they offer it it's awkward
01:55yeah I think Boog Powell is like a he's an Orioles legend he's got he's got the barbecue stand out
02:02in
02:02the outfield at the new ballpark kind of is and I've met Boog Powell I I remember I have somewhere
02:09do we all have like boxes of VHS tapes that are like we're never going to use again I somewhere
02:16I
02:16have actually our mutual friend Larry Samuels is how I came to own this he did an internship at a
02:22TV
02:22station in New York sports department when he was going to school at Oswego and he somehow came in
02:30possession of a game from the Orioles and Mets from the World Series from 69 yeah and I don't know
02:38game
02:38one game three I don't remember what game it is but Nolan Ryan comes in for the Mets from the
02:42bullpen yes and throws a curveball that makes Boog Powell almost fall down and this is such a cool
02:50super young Nolan Ryan legendary Boog Powell like scared of nothing and he's just like like rubber
02:58legged in the box because here's you know Ryan already could you know he knew he could throw you
03:02know 99 100 whatever you know you could really bring it and then here comes the the you know the
03:06yacker and uh Boog Powell kind of yacked John Wesley Powell so I've always I I because of that like
03:14and you've been out so that that barbecue is out beyond right field right people hang out there
03:20we yeah that there's a street Utah street bam Frank the story is Utah oh we are off and running
