More than 80 cyclists planning to take over SF Bay Bridge corralled by policeSan Francisco Police Department

00:05On March 28, 2026, the California Highway Patrol notified the San Francisco Police Department of
00:11a large group of bicyclists in San Francisco who may be a part of a planned Bay Bridge takeover.
00:17Multiple CHP and SFPD units responded. SFPD's Real-Time Investigation Center conducted
00:24surveillance on the group providing intel and updates. The large group of bicyclists then
00:29attempted to enter the Bay Bridge via the Harrison Street off-ramp against traffic.
00:34SFPD and CHP units were able to successfully stop the group before they entered the freeway
00:39and again stopped them from going back onto San Francisco streets as they rode back down the
00:43off-ramp. The large group was detained, processed, and cited without incident. All bicycles were
00:49seized and stored by the CHP. 85 total citations were given along with 85 bicycles stored.
