00:02Hi, I'm Brian, and I'm coming to you from the heart of Endeavor, NVIDIA's headquarters.
00:07These days, NVIDIA's known for our AI servers like the one here,
00:11but not everyone understands how important AI is for gamers.
00:15DLSS 4 was trained on an AI supercomputer made out of servers just like this one,
00:20and it's become our fastest adopted gaming technology.
00:24DLSS unlocks real-time path tracing, with more exciting games arriving this year.
00:29Since announcing DLSS 4 at CES last year, the team has been hard at work making DLSS better,
00:36training the models on bigger and more challenging data sets.
00:39Now, we're introducing DLSS 4.5.
00:43We have dramatically improved super resolution with a new second-gen transformer model,
00:49and we've expanded the capabilities of multi-frame generation.
00:52DLSS 4 introduced a new transformer architecture
00:56that enabled a big leap in image quality over our previous convolutional neural network.
01:01Now, we're releasing our second-generation transformer for super resolution.
01:06It's five times more compute and is trained on an expanded data set,
01:09so the model has greater context awareness of every scene
01:12and more intelligent use of pixel sampling and motion vectors.
01:16These improvements make super resolution performance and ultra performance modes so much better,
01:21it has superior anti-aliasing for smoother edges,
01:25clearer gameplay, even with fast-moving objects,
01:29and improved temporal stability from frame to frame.
01:34With DLSS 4.5, we've also made multi-frame generation better in every way.
01:39The second-generation transformer delivers superior image quality
01:43as input to the frame generation model.
01:45The frame generation model has been continuously fine-tuned
01:48for improved quality and stability.
01:51And we've improved frame pacing
01:52to ensure the high frame rates feel as good as they look.
01:56With these improvements,
01:57we can now generate up to five additional frames per rendered frame
02:01with minimal change to latency.
02:03That's a new 6x total multiplier,
02:05unlocking 240Hz 4K gaming
02:08with real-time path tracing.
02:11Along with this 6x capability,
02:13DLSS 4.5 also introduces dynamic multi-frame generation.
02:17This mode dynamically increases the number of generated frames
02:21in demanding scenes,
02:22maximizing the monitor's refresh rate
02:24for the smoothest possible experience.
02:26In less demanding scenes,
02:28it automatically decreases the number of generated frames
02:31so it only computes what's needed.
02:34DLSS 4 was already the best way to play.
02:37Now, just a year later,
02:39DLSS 4.5 runs faster,
02:41looks better,
02:42and is easier to use.
02:43We're excited to launch the second-generation
02:46super-resolution transformer
02:47for all GeForce RTX users.
02:50Dynamic multi-frame generation
02:52will be available in spring
02:53for GeForce RTX 50 series users.
02:57All of the features announced for DLSS 4.5
03:00will be available through override settings
03:02in the NVIDIA app.
03:04With the launch of DLSS 4.5,
03:06NVIDIA continues to push the boundaries
03:08of accelerated computing
03:09in both AI and graphics.
03:12They are now one and the same,
03:14and we can't wait to see where we go next.
