01:10Sir, the question raised by the Honorable Member relates to the passenger rights and the passenger services that are provided
01:17by the airlines and the airports
01:19and this is all listed out in the passenger charter itself
01:22whenever there is a delay that is happening then the first thing is that the passenger charter gets activated
01:28within one hour whatever he is he has the right to be done that is being provided
01:34two hours four hours and then complete cancellation there is a process of refund also that is entitled to the
01:42passenger
01:42and more importantly there are services that he is being provided at the airport also
01:47if there is a delay of more than three hours then there has to be a meal that has to
01:52be provided to the passenger
01:53so and one important thing that we have to remember in terms of delays
01:57there are some times when the airlines also don't have control on the operations
02:02it can be bad weather, it can be related to fog, it can be any other safety related issue also
02:08on the aircraft that has been found out
02:10so it is subject to all these conditions that you are able to fly safely
02:15so when these kind of instances even then if there is a delay that is happening
02:22there is a passenger charter circular that we have issued from the ministry
02:26which has to be thoroughly followed by the airlines also
02:29which entitles the passengers based on the time of the delay
02:33what is being done
02:34and we from our side we wanted to promote the charters
02:37because lot of the passengers don't know what rights they are also entitled to
02:41so from our side we want to promote create awareness that these are the rights that you have
02:46so that they can strongly follow up with the airlines or ask them right there itself
02:50that this is my right and this is what is needed
02:52so we are proactively working in this region

03:26despite repeated DJCA safety advisors sir

03:33sir we are putting safety as the topmost priority in the country
03:38and we are doing a very rigorous safety audit
03:41safety checks
03:42the compliances are thoroughly being done day in and day out
03:45and when we find these kind of level 1 findings or level 2 findings
03:50which are related to the safety of the operations
03:53then it becomes an imperative that the DGCA acts upon them
03:58DGCA takes care of them
04:00so whenever these kind of incidents are being flagged
04:03it is important that we find them also
04:07it is not that everything will be proper
04:10because the airlines
04:12it is subject to all these audits
04:14all these checks
04:15so when you do them
04:16definitely you will have some incidents that you find
04:19and whenever these things happen
04:20there is a protocol according to which
04:23you do all the maintenance and all these things sir
04:27and I would like to say that
04:30regarding the periodic audits that are carried out by DGCA
04:35because we have increased the number of audits that we are doing
04:38so the number was also increased what we are trying to find
04:40because the periodicity of checks we have increased
04:43based on the requirement of the industry
04:47now the aircrafts have also increased
04:48and the second thing sir
04:50whenever we have these findings
04:51then definitely the DGCA acts upon them
04:54and takes care of them
04:55so that the repetitive snags which are there
04:59is generally a trend which is being observed in specific aircraft
05:04so those also we are doing multiple times
05:07we are doing the audit
05:08so that we can take care of them
05:09and I can assure that safety is the most topmost priority for the ministry
05:13that is why we are actively trying to do more and more audit checks also
