01:42met at a dressage event 10 years ago and have been playing ponies ever since we're like oh i

01:49love your horse and you're like i love your horse yeah we just like the same things

01:55but what they love most is the high life i'm looking fab when you look good then you you feel

02:02good and looking this good doesn't come cheap just my hair appointments every four weeks come

02:08to around 250 pounds we are high maintenance but i don't see that as a bad thing sammy and her

02:16husband turn over millions selling classic cars to the super rich these cars they're just so sexy

02:22which funds her fairy tale life fit for a princess what is expensive in here pretty much everything

02:30this bath was three and a half thousand pounds i don't tend to look at the price tag

02:39neither does camilla breathe the energy out who makes a mint from her luxury wellness business

02:46miller in zoom soothing energy am i your breath of fresh air yes she runs yoga retreats for a-listers

02:55in the world's most exclusive hotels i really love that you can transform people through yoga through

03:01sound healing as for holidays i prefer to fly business class try to put that on my phone

03:09shouldn't i phobia economy they drop a ton on exotic destinations dubai seychelles more dave and big

03:18ticket activities i do love a little bit of um adrenaline but some adventures are a step too far

03:26hand pins you said a swear word pretty sure i heard a swear word communal bathroom absolutely

03:32not wouldn't ever ingratiate myself with the masses and what about sharing their break with two cash

03:40strapped strangers we're great to have people similar to ourselves that's not gonna happen

03:46although the universe does bring you together with people for a reason yes very yogi

03:54a hundred and sixty miles away in bristol can i have a pinot grigio please live budgeting besties

04:01hannah and lucy i met hannah on my fifth speed dating night we didn't match with any of the men

04:06but we kind of matched with each other it was definitely friendship at first yeah

04:12definitely

04:14hannah has been a rock for lucy she's really helped bring

04:17a lot of humor back in my life we love a drink we love a dance we try and laugh

04:22as much as we can

04:23and have good time

04:26kids breakfast is ready lucy is a stay-at-home single mom so it's just me surviving with three kids

04:34it's just always super super busy this is really good mom thank you she relies on benefits and after

04:42bills there's just 60 quid disposable income per week paula bang all right oh you're right pop

04:51it can be really difficult to sort of keep a happy face kids asked to do something where and i

04:56just

04:56haven't got the money and bye guys hard up hannah works shifts as a travel nurse for 16 quid an

05:03hour

05:03at the moment i'm only on a zero hour contract month to month i never really know what my monthly

05:09wage is

05:10going to be home is shared accommodation with 10 housemates it's cheaper than renting somewhere on

05:16my own but it can be quite busy and chaotic at times even on their breaks these two bezis don't

05:24get any me time all my holidays is centered all around the kids enjoyment i often stay in hostels

05:30because that makes it much much cheaper so if money were no object what's top of the wish list

05:36my dream holiday would be somewhere warm and sunny and somewhere without the children so i can fully

05:42relax but can they chill out on a holiday with two rich strangers i find when people are overly flashy

05:49or talk about their money you would struggle with that yeah oh my god yeah

05:55oh my goodness oh my god they'll all be sharing two very different holidays in the same country

06:02i'm just really excited to just see what's in there an exclusive five-star stay right up camilla

06:08and sammy street but first a bargain break to suit lucy and hannah's wallet

06:15stomach is churning okay you're going to morocco hey so far so good i'm reading and it's getting worse

06:23and worse budget campsite where you'll be bunking up in a camper van close to the bustling city of

06:31marrakesh camper van what is that well a bit like a horse box located on the northwest tip of africa

06:40morocco is a mainly muslim country almost twice the size of the uk welcoming a million holidaying brits

06:48year it offers year-round sun a rich blend of arab berber and european cultures and a taste of the

06:54exotic whatever your budget first they'll holiday on the cheap in vibrant marrakesh famed for its

07:02lively main square and sprawling souks accommodation is a tiny camper van on a rough and ready campsite just

07:09outside the city budget campsite we're fine with that i'm so excited turns out i don't like words that

07:16begin with b budget bunking and bustling this is going to be a bummer

07:25it's day one and luxury travelers sammy and camilla have hit their first hurdle

07:30on earth does one pack to stay on a campsite this campsite packing is basic

07:40i'm so excited for this north africa here we come

07:46it's a four-hour flight to morocco and for high maintenance sammy

07:50it's a first taste of economy somebody's really rather

07:56it's not right the couples will meet for the first time

07:59oh my god there's like loads of palm trees everywhere after they've checked out their campsite digs

08:10you should kick in the driver twice the worst

08:17what do we think

08:21yeah i don't think i could say that out loud

08:23oh my god the second word is hold

08:27i reckon we we kind of termed this as rustic rustic charm that's what i'm going with but camilla's

08:33mind over matter approach this feels like the beginning of a nightmare and it's a holiday

08:39is lost on sammy if i'd have booked and paid for this holiday i would have been turning around

08:44straight away and finding somewhere else oh my oh it's not and i that's not a camper van that's a

08:51transit van

08:58the camper van is a snug three by two meters well that's where are we both gonna sleep

09:04oh maybe this pulls out into a double bed

09:07how double bed are you having a laugh i've got singles bigger than this indoors

09:11i can't even stand up in this thing this is like my worst day

09:18what are you sat in there

09:20what are you talking about shut up the front

09:21it is it's the toilet shut up oh my god no there is no way on god green earth

09:30you or me are going in this

09:33while the rookie campers search out a bathroom upgrade this is nice

09:39season pro lucy and best mate hannah settle in see our home for the week

09:44what do you think wow we've got our own toilet as well so it's got a toilet in the van

09:51so amazing we've got all our home comforts

10:36it's the moment of truth the pairs from either side of the wealth divide are about to meet

10:52sammy and camilla turned up looking like a pair of film stars they looked absolutely stunning

10:57i don't think they're sort of used to slumming it in a campsite lovely

11:09but they seem really nice really friendly seem like you know what you're doing yeah we're

11:14pros at all this this is what we need yeah we can give you all the right advice

11:18we have got a little something for you what do we have for the first half of the week camilla

11:24sammy will have to survive on lucy and hannah's spending money your budget for food and activities

11:31okay 130 pounds

11:37okay camilla's jaw just hit the floor i think she was not expecting that i think that they

11:42have ever had to budget for anything so that's 130 divided by two yeah yeah

11:50i don't have any idea how that is gonna spread over this holiday we go on holiday on a budget

11:58quite often and so we know how to kind of like be a bit creative with our money as long

12:03willing to sort of embrace everything yeah and get really stuck in to make your money stretch you might

12:11become a campsite barbie yeah campsite barbie i think we've got a lot of convincing yeah

12:18such lovely girls we are holidaying with if i could leave out the camping site bit

12:26it would be better i don't think they'll survive the night let alone the holiday

12:46coming up welcome to the chaos people welcome to the madness the camping crew get a taste of morocco

12:53it's got the teeth and everything in it and camilla and sammy ditch their thoroughbreds

12:59that was not glamorous

13:07two hard-up besties africa here we come are showing a posh pair of globetrotters i wouldn't ever

13:16ingratiate myself with the masses how to holiday on a budget 130 pounds i'm wondering why i've done this

13:24and can i go home it's the first morning in marrakesh so looking forward to today just to

13:34explore yeah i'm very excited as well and the first time camilla and sammy have ever woken up in a

13:40camper

13:43in the back of the van with the with the luggage sammy is in the front with the gear stick

13:48and the

13:49steering wheel waking up in all of her glory even with the handbrake in a place that i wouldn't want

13:56a handbrake yeah it's been an education here we go another envelope but there's more to learn

14:05as they're about to find out what budget activities they've got in store soaking up the sights sounds

14:11and smells of marrakesh is medina oh it's going to be really nice it's completely free isn't it

14:18but we haven't bought anything yet

14:21yeah oh my god budget camel adventure oh that's a budget camel adventure okay okay

14:31and it's half the sound here we go sampling local street food uh that that's a challenge for me

14:37when in morocco i think you've just got to try these things i'm really not looking forward to street food

14:44but i'm really looking forward to getting off the campsite and going into marrakesh

14:51yeah it was an absolute no no it's definitely not fine dining that's for sure

15:00first on the itinerary the old city of marrakesh welcome to the chaos people welcome to the madness

15:07a unesco world heritage site and home to the famous jamar elfinar square this bustling marketplace

15:15is bursting with street vendors exotic animals and food stalls are you feeling hungry

15:20i know it's a bit out of your comfort zone absolutely yeah we can convince you that this

15:27is the best way to eat on a budget hopefully camilla and sami think nothing of dropping 200 quid on

15:34a meal

15:35out but for lunch today there's just four pounds each no mind over matter like we always say manifest

15:42great food and wellness yeah oh i think we should try this place okay okay so what have you got

15:51here

15:51this is sheep's head

15:54coming in on budget the sheep's head is a traditional moroccan dish that's charred over coals

16:00then steamed with onions my god it's got the teeth and everything in it it's a delicacy here

16:10it's what the locals eat i think it's nice to try and experience it

16:17you never know you might look at and think oh i really want to try then

16:22i feel really lightheaded do you yeah yeah can zen camilla channel enough positive energy to get

16:29through her lunch i did just meditate i just do a little bit of breath work um imagining my egg

16:37and

16:38banana pancake with mananuka honey and my organic berries are you not tempted camilla

16:49me and hannah wanted to immerse ourselves in the local culture you know this is what we love to do

16:59what's the skin taste like oh my god did you just say that the skin is a bit sort of

17:04bristly but it's

17:05not oh my god horrible and still smell that smell i mean that was vile feeling a little bit disappointed

17:15that sammy and camilla didn't manage to touch the plate or go near it it's a shame we're actually

17:21looking forward to getting back to our van never thought those words would ever leave my mouth

17:27next on the holiday agenda i'll just go spend loads of money a deep dive into marrakesh's maze of

17:36vibrant markets where tourists flock to buy handcraft ceramics rugs and leather goods just want to buy

17:43everything but on lucy and hannah's budget they'll need to show restraint we're more like window

17:50shopping aren't we like oh that looks lovely that looks nice but we have a quick chat about it and

17:55carry on walking okay you need flip flops i need flip oh looks like window shopping's out the window

18:03they're nice all the pretty colors some of those are cute i like okay so this is the shop for

18:09me

18:09definitely as the universe provides camilla with the perfect flip-flop shop i agree i really like those

18:16and i genuinely need so this is a need shop she has got some other lovely flip flops with her

18:22so i'm not

18:23quite sure why she felt she needed them so much do you have these ones please yes how much are

18:30they

18:31first time we get for 250 oh it's like really quick that we're really trying to say to them you

18:39haven't got the money in your budget to do this what about food yeah we would we would buy shoes

18:43and stuff

18:47230 okay camilla's impulse buy makes an 18 pound dent in their limited budget i'm very happy with these

18:55little beauties they're gonna get lots of work draining almost all their spending money for the day

19:02they've just done their own thing and just spent what they like if we can save our money and we

19:07can

19:07spend wisely then why can't they really shows how different our lifestyles are

19:16it's a new morning in camp let's go and next on the activity list the pairs are settling up

19:23super excited about camel riding very excited i love it i've done it so many times um in dubai

19:29and abu dubai how far is the sahara desert from marrakesh camilla and sammy would normally pay top

19:37dollar for an authentic camel ride in rolling sand jeans about 19 miles south of marrakesh that's

19:43doable we're going to the sahara i'm actually much more excited now sahara desert here we come right

19:51uh not exactly this budget camel ride is just a couple of miles away on the edge of marrakesh

19:59what do we think then girls you no the sahara welcome to your budget camel experience thank you

20:09you probably would describe this as a scrubland you'll still get to ride a camel oh my god

20:16sammy and camilla were sort of hoping to be welcomed with mint tea and rugs and kind of like

20:23a glamping type experience last time sammy went on a camel it cost over 100 pounds more than lucy's

20:31weekly rent here it's just 20 quid i really want to show them you can make things a bit cheaper

20:37and

20:38and actually have a really good time careful careful that was not glamorous

20:55sammy your one is groaning all the way i know i don't know what a problem is i've got a

21:00moody man

21:01that makes two of them can't lie i was not happy the whole point of the trip is just sort

21:10of getting

21:10really involved they're on our holiday so i'm hoping they show willing show enthusiasm and just get

21:16stuck in there are no sand dunes time for camilla to tap up her inner chakra the power of the

21:24visualization

21:25power of the mind oh look over there maybe that could be considered a sand dune but amazingly all it

21:31takes is a few little ones hello darling look there's a baby one i'm so happy that there's all these

21:41little

21:41babies to get over the hump it was just really magical wasn't it it was magical it wasn't quite the

21:48sahara

21:49but i didn't notice any of that because i was just so absorbed in our experience and our camels miss

21:55grumpy one and there's happy sammy i'm grumpy just really enjoyed it yeah i think sammy and camilla

22:04really tried today just goes to show though that you can have an amazing time on a budget

22:11camel budget riding is really amazing fatima she's like she wants to be on the luxury one

22:28it's the final evening in marrakesh and with no money left in the budget

22:32it's an early night for the campus they really got into it actually didn't they absolutely and i think

22:38we're finally getting through something about that you can holiday on a budget and you can

22:42holiday well exactly yeah hold that thought i don't want another sleepless night last night

22:48i have spotted there's a couple of cabins on the campsite that's really naughty

22:56i actually call it taking the initiative do you feel a bit bad

23:02without telling their holiday pals the pair ditched the van for a basic bedroom above the campsite loo

23:09block i mean it's not the greatest is it but it's fabulous fabulous it's only 25 quid but with no

23:20budget left oh it smells amazing oh that is heaven they've had to dip into their own pockets for a

23:28decent

23:28night kit it's the last morning before the switch up to the rich holiday

23:38i know quick let's go but will camilla and sammy come clean

23:48hey we had a good night sleep

23:53but it wasn't in the van we had to make a little change for the for the health and well

24:00-being

24:02there's the little bedrooms up above the communal showers and toilets so we flipped up there

24:11we were kind of feeling that they were really getting on board with the whole experience

24:15for them to kind of go off and stay in a room it is a little bit disappointing really we

24:20didn't use

24:21any of the budget because it's done right already yeah we paid them to have our own money

24:27you've used your own money to do that which me and hannah wouldn't ever have that option we would

24:32always have to do the budget ban and kind of put up with it even if it was uncomfortable

24:39yeah we did feel really guilty can't lie but it didn't stop us doing it so how much did it

24:45all

24:45cost total bill for your holiday is 940 pounds wow that is like amazing everything that we've done

24:57i mean yeah great value so does it show you that you don't need to have money to have a

25:02good time

25:02absolutely and although this hasn't been ideal i will still take away fond memories thank you

27:52to this as they're just their normal holidays this is just mind-blowing these petals everywhere yeah

28:00this place is so luxurious you get all the beautiful products to use in the bathroom never

28:06had that before on holiday this is gorgeous oh my god full-length mirror oh my goodness we're so

28:17mr full-length mirror so relieved to see toilet roll oh yes thank you oh my god it's clean

28:29it's beautiful there's gorgeous surroundings it just smells amazing everywhere this will definitely

28:37definitely do why just seeing all of this and realizing that we're actually gonna stay here yeah this

28:50is how the other half lives this is definitely how the other half live yeah when i walked in i

28:55just

28:55felt like this is just a whole nother world it really doesn't feel real right now

29:15so they're ditching their usual cans of cider for a bottle of shampoos at 220 pound at pop

29:22it tastes like i don't want to neck it all in one yeah that's right really yeah we're getting a

29:27real

29:28taste for how sammy and camilla just splash the cash over 220 pounds for a bottle of champagne

29:36that's almost what i pay for a week's rent at home

29:44it's the first morning of the luxury holiday i mean everything is just

29:50serene and the mountain views have restored camilla's zen i feel like we're going to float

29:55through the next few days for lucy and hannah and we're waking up in paradise it really is paradise

30:02a welcome lie in back home busy mom lucy would have got three kids up fed and out of the

30:09door by now

30:09it's a whole nother level of relaxation yeah definitely

30:15no bacon and eggs here oh wow oh my goodness the ladies are kick-starting their day with an

30:23indulgent and super healthy brekkie this is beautiful i can't wait bon appetit ladies i mean

30:33there's a lot of fruit a lot of avocado not really my thing on this five-star trip lucy and

30:42hannah will

30:42indulge in the kind of activities camilla and sammy can afford absolutely gorgeous but first some words

30:50of wisdom to help us really embrace the experience we have got some little guidelines okay yeah we

30:58would love you to holiday as as we would usually holiday allow yourself to relax unwind and embrace

31:06the experiences okay how does that sound to you bro yeah we'll try and relax okay

31:14our holiday activities are a haman chomas i'm really looking forward to being feeling a bit pampered

31:23a sunrise yoga and sound healing with camilla yay she sounds fun oh my goodness paragliding

31:34i'm not normally sort of an adventurous kind of extreme sports person but stick off the list

31:43something to stick off the list yeah it's so far removed from what me and hannah do for holidays

31:48early morning yoga and paragliding not my cup of tea at all

31:56it's spa time we're ready on the luxury list a traditional moroccan clay treatment

32:04at the hotel's hammam both camilla and i spend lots of time in spas and it is

32:10something that is a necessity when we go on holiday my best day

32:17with a price tag of 50 pound per person smells lovely it's more than lucy spends on beauty products

32:24in a year you want for your friends yeah yeah it's right yeah wherever yeah

32:30the only other time that i've been covered in that much mud is when i visited western supermare beach

32:41how amazing is that oh heaven oh did you love it

32:45oh look how great we all look for lucy this kind of pampering is a real one-off

32:55it was a really nice treat i loved it and well beyond her means back home a holiday like this

33:01gives me a lot of motivation towards getting a good career i'm trying to study for a degree in

33:08psychology so unfortunately i've currently accrued uh about 15 000 pounds in debt

33:15yeah it's really always at the back of my mind yeah i have had to rely on food banks in

33:21the past

33:23we've been through like the homeless system as well it's almost like a different level of stress

33:28and yeah darling

33:33a sort of worrying about not being able to feed your children

33:41yeah it was really upsetting you've just got to keep the end goal yes in sight i think the universe

33:48is really powerful if only positivity could pay the bills that would be a nice i think they really

33:54really were shocked they get a real understanding of what life is like for us now it does make you

34:02just

34:02hope that the universe opens up and presents them with just love and luck and lottery win

34:15and up the next morning left arm it's 6am and camilla's yoga session has already begun

34:23and flow to the sides as we exhale to tadasana mountain pose but her new holiday buddies didn't get the

34:33memo

34:36morning ladies it's really beautiful out now it's going to be a really lovely start thank you

34:40it'll just be like a few minutes okay yeah

34:48doing early morning yoga on holiday is definitely not my thing

34:53yeah i was a bit grumpy not happy at all

35:00is this really what you do on a luxury holiday six o'clock normally every morning wow much before a

35:05lion

35:06and a fry up much pricier than a fried brekkie yoga teacher camilla normally charges 60 quid per head

35:17a whole month's worth of petrol for mom lucy good night everyone

35:27you can keep the duvet or would you like me to just remove it i think you can take the

35:31duvet if you

35:32with you i think at one point i'm i nodded off so as you cat lift your tummy towards your

35:38spine and as

35:39you take cow and slowly walk the hands towards these exhale flow down

35:47visualize this beautiful river flowing through your body manifest what you wish to be your reality

35:53because that is where your visualization will come true

35:58so if i visualize a big stack of money will that come true yeah it's not really my thing

36:04i must stay thank you everybody

36:09i think they really embraced it and really enjoyed it which makes me so happy

36:14but once we were up we did enjoy it didn't we yeah we did enjoy it yeah it was outside

36:19views yeah yeah it was nice i think i just would have preferred a bit more sleep actually

36:32a leap into the unknown pushes lucy to the edge to rethink some of my life choices and the final

39:07as hannah lands 500 meters up i feel it quite sick lucy's no longer enjoying the view i'm feeling quite

39:14sick it's okay i'm gonna you want to stop coming on down camilla lands like a pro

39:25but as lucy's feet touched the ground

39:30it's clear something's not right

39:33she passed out and passed out

39:37motion sickness caused her to faint mid-air hannah's a nurse so we'll just leave her

39:51do you know when lucy took off oh my god like i could have cried i was just so proud

39:58her inner strength keeps shining through there were some times this morning where i thought i really

40:03might not do this i'm very proud of myself for doing it but i will never do that again in

40:21the week's almost over but before they leave there's a chance to reflect on the two different

40:27holidays it's our last night in paradise i can't believe no that's gone so fast i'm actually really sad

40:33yeah and clear the air was there anything that you felt that me and hannah didn't really embrace

40:40with your luxury holiday here i think we were a little bit disappointed when we had to go and wake

40:57how did you feel about holidaying on a budget i think really it was terrifying initially the

41:04toilets the van street food um basically everything about camping yeah wow i think

41:15leaving on the last night to go and to stay into the room bedroom that we didn't know nothing about

41:20yeah that felt a bit like you were sort of abandoning the whole experience don't generally shy away

41:26from things but you know what sometimes there will be things kind of you you can't quite take on

41:32i hope i'm right in saying that we are now all friends so how much is the luxury break cost

41:57on what on a holiday for us yeah i'm shocked it's more than ten times the price of the budget

42:06i've really enjoyed staying here it's a beautiful place and it's been a lovely experience personally

43:59i don't think money necessarily buys you a happier holiday money helps open like the chance to do more
