06:22really helped her with this or whatever variety is it for men is it for women who is it for

06:27finally eat energy and excitement the more excited you are about a product you know I have this and
06:32it's great and you know I would recommend this to my mom blah blah Pasha was given a very brief

06:39broad strategy but what I gave them was specifics you can be p.m. just a ticket off the box

35:23i'm a little bit nervous today because obviously didn't sell any of my deal of the day pieces
35:28so a little bit upset and scared to what's going to happen in the boardroom today
35:33i brought cornerback to the boardroom last week he's definitely going to bring me back if we lose
35:38it's game on i'm ready for a war i feel like i'm walking into a lion's den with nothing to
35:43defend
35:43myself with it is a live tv selling challenge i'm not sure if i sold anything so that leaves me
35:48in a
35:48pretty vulnerable position you can go through to the boardroom now
36:11so tv shopping um team alpha i believe that karishma you wanted to be the project manager
36:21is that right yes lord sugar but then again pasha you haven't been a project manager have you you
36:27kind of like ducked it um i was waiting for the right task i haven't got experience live selling however
36:33i do have a big following on tiktok and i do have a social media present so you know i
36:39just felt like
36:40my skills and abilities would be best for this this sort of task so pasha's passion versus karishma's
36:48charisma yeah i've heard that and i think we worked really well together okay so product selection the
36:54structure that i went in with is i want a high cost item and a low cost item if we
36:59can sell just a few
37:00of the high cost items potentially that could be the reason that we win the task so what you ended
37:05up with was the headphones the water flosser um and table tennis so where was your luck um karishma
37:14while this all this was going on so lawrence and i spoke of the jewelry expert we were also joined
37:19with
37:19rothana and dan um we kind of were competing to get the product we wanted um we expressed our interest
37:25in the mid-range item you mean the ring the ring the tanzanite ring i was watching you uh selling
37:31that stuff apparently there was 11 in stock or something like that is that right yeah yeah um
37:39there still is 11 in stock there is at the moment yeah because i'm afraid you didn't succeed and then
37:45one of the reasons i think you didn't succeed was because in my opinion you missed out the point of
37:51who
37:52you were selling too it should be love it should be about you know a gift for somebody instead you
37:58start giving them a a geographic um description of where it comes from who gives a about that
38:07not exactly lord of the rings there my friend not quite no i mean in fairness krishman knew a lot
38:13about
38:14the rings and i think there was a bit of scarcity because um it only comes from a very small
38:18area
38:18yeah hmm anyway i think the first people on your team was you and you with the headphones right
38:26correct okay and in the gallery was them two correct yeah and silence i heard you sat there doing
38:34nothing for a while krishman you were close to the mic do you do you agree with that um so

38:41were instructed was you getting much feedback initially um initially to be honest my earpiece
38:47was cutting out every it wasn't cutting out they weren't talking okay well i mean my noise cancelling
38:54headphones it sounded like you must have had noise cancelling microphones in there anyway let me come
39:00on to the flosser yeah i was very confident selling it just because i have it at home and i
39:06did want to
39:07have food there as well which unfortunately i saw that you had some spinach you stick some in your
39:13mouth right and then you get the machine blow on it and then you take it out your mouth with
39:19your
39:19fingers again yeah it was very very very good yeah the water power coming out but it was powerful yeah
39:25i could use it to clean my car yeah yeah and then there's the ping pong i like that ping

39:32i was thinking of setting it up in here for me and uh to play um good luck you sold

39:39actually yeah anyway there we are so team eclipse now connor you ended up with what i will call the
39:48core machine uh yoga mat correct boring uh and the shoe dryer unusual item right um so you start off
39:59um connor with the um the core circus you look like you're having an argument with an ironing board
40:05actually yeah yeah i definitely um look i came in with high energy and passion and i was hoping to
40:10shift that by using my energy then you then you call upon dan he comes in done a few bits
40:17and pieces
40:17and then went off we were we were we were doing a couple to work out at one stage i
40:23was doing pilates and
40:23dan was doing some core exercises so yeah i do i do think it was sellable i just probably didn't
40:29do
40:29myself justice moving on from there then so you had the um bracelet you looked like you're putting
40:36on handcuffs at one stage a lot you lost the key you're fumbling around dan did very well in terms
40:45of
40:46his engaging with the customers and saying their names actually saying which are the key yeah when you
40:50that was it was quite clever that when we said thank you for the order and all that oh they
40:54got
40:54some orders did they oh yeah they got some orders yeah um i was extremely proud of dan for putting
40:59himself out of his comfort zone almost and really applying himself he exceeded probably all of our
41:04expectations oh there you go compliments there dan that's very kind compliments all right um moving on
41:11we've got uh kieran on the uh yoga mat yoga mat and that i mean i've got to tell you
41:17that was painful
41:18my friend painful did you say i'll do that one i said i i i would do that one um
41:25but i also offered
41:27to it was like a thick doormat to me yeah as yoga mats go it wasn't bad yeah can i
41:36just add law sugar i
41:37expected that the boys would probably pick an item that they were personally really confident selling
41:40kieran's great at selling so i was pretty shocked that he was just going to be selling the mats but
41:45then he was confident he could sell them in large quantity okay well moving on we went to the most
41:52unusual item the shoe dryer uh which levi uh took the role that's right lord sugar yeah that's correct
41:59i mean it's an unusual item in fact i bought one from my wife for christmas so she's going to
42:05be
42:05delighted when i when she opens it up so she's gonna throw that straight back at you yeah i mean
42:14you're putting shoes on the wrong way around pouring water in trainers um to be fair lord sugar
42:20and then um butch cassidy here comes running in at the end uh to help you out you know it
42:27were quite hard to get me bearings to be fair lord sugar it were um in gallery it sounded like
42:32uh somebody ate the microphone and uh people just shouting and then yeah it was hard to concentrate
42:39try and get the point across while it's getting loading the ear hmm right okay well
42:47um it's that time now let's have a look and see how we did shall we so um
42:56thing you should know about tv selling is that you may have expectations of what you think you sold
43:04but as you know people change their minds right so i've now got the real confirmed figures
43:12from the shopping channel so tim can you tell me the final results of your team well you mentioned a
43:19number of sales have been made but unfortunately not all of those sales went through including the one
43:25high priced item of the core crusher that was almost sold but somebody pulled out but they still
43:31managed to sell 18 products giving them a total sales on the day of 773 pounds and 82 pounds well
43:39done
43:40everyone right okay good karen same question how did your team get on well unfortunately not all of their
43:48sales went through either um including one of the high priced headphones um and their highest priced
43:55item alan the ring you know they they didn't sell any of those at all um but they did still
44:02manage to
44:03sell 40 items across the hour totaling 893 pounds and 60 pence right well done team alpha
44:15your first time as a project manager and you pulled it through yeah okay make your way back to the
44:22house i'll see you on the next task okay all right thank you thank you thank you good luck guys

45:21one of the things that i did say in strategy is like bringing high energy was great but i think
45:25ultimately what you two failed to do was to harness it in the correct way we sold mate yeah and
45:30i
45:30accept i didn't you guys only saw two units each i had a roll up bit of phone mate connor
45:34sold nothing
45:35kieran didn't sell a lot and he's supposed to be an amazing salesperson and quite frankly i don't
45:38really know what levi is good at other than being a great guy the one person i was disappointed in
45:42kieran is you i have to say i've worked with you and i thought you're great but when you're presenting
45:46i honestly thought you you'd do a bit better just because we felt the task for lack of instruction and
45:50ourselves kieran loves to deflect and he loves to say he can't do something at the last moment he
45:55said he'd take a high ticket item just as we were heading out the door as he sounded enthusiastic
45:58about the yoga mat i gave it to him then he said maybe not i can't do yoga the reality
46:02is is that
46:03we didn't make enough sales it's down to selling i mean myself and rothner sold the most and i know
46:07it wasn't loads but we sold high ticketed items and sold multiple of them i would have thought with
46:11lower ticketed items we could have sold a few more the failure in this task lies with project
46:15manager connor and kieran the polar opposites they don't work well together in it and it showed in this task
46:32yes would you send the candidates in please
46:47well uh you lot lost by 120 pounds which
46:55is not a lot of money now alpha sold 40 products and you sold 18 only so connor the core
47:05machine that you demonstrated the last time the professional presenter did it they sold 55
47:13yeah so so my plan with the core circuit yoga was two two target audience the older or maybe new
47:19to
47:19fitness and then the more experienced user of fitness like myself i demonstrated as someone who's
47:24maybe avid in fitness and wants to use it to enhance their workouts maybe after a cardio session i
47:28think it implied you had to be very fit to use it yeah um anybody i'm not surprised you were
47:33sweating
47:33because you hadn't sold any yeah definitely i did give it my all it did give my energy and i
47:38hold my
47:38hands up i'm disappointed as pm that i didn't sell one item i mean dan walking in it looked like
47:43you
47:43called in a bloke from from it you know now then um rothner and dan the bracelets um you only
47:54sold three
47:55they usually sell 21 in that slot i am disappointed that we only ended up selling three of them i
48:02did
48:02really believe in the product and i hoped it come across if you'd have got the ring and sold three
48:07of
48:07them yeah like you sold three of the bracelets you would have won so we didn't go why didn't you
48:11get
48:11the ring we we thought maybe connor might find the ring a bit too expensive he was quite clear about
48:16asking for a mid-range item but may he do when we know when i asked for numbers in the
48:20brainstorm he
48:21didn't give any numbers the mid-range my mid-range could be very different to your mid-range your role
48:25was to pick deal of the day so what what she's trying to say is that it was left to
48:29our own
48:29devices to pick what we thought was the most sensible item that we could sell on tv but that's
48:34what that's why you replaced and you picked the cheapest yeah um now moving on the yoga mat this
48:41company has sold 390 in the last session you sold six and you say you are a um super salesman
48:52exactly i'm a salesman yeah absolutely um we didn't sell many did you so i did offer to swap the
48:58high
48:58end item i was told no were you not extremely enthusiastic about the yoga mat i said i could
49:03take it i wasn't mate i'd done the set ups i'd done a few press ups exactly levi was levi
49:08come in
49:08to perform on the mat right at the end you could have sent him in either it were a bit
49:12painful to
49:13watch so i looked at galleries you were painful to watch my friend you were really painful to watch
49:18all the way around including the shoe dryer thing i mean what a bloody product that is
49:24and you know what they usually sell 300 in a session 300 i've never heard of it and you sold
49:30three
49:31i did try to explain about the shoe drying properties but when i had somebody like team
49:35shouting in my ears i had kieran walking towards me were very distracted for me well one of the
49:41comments from a viewer was that this is a joke i'm flabbergasted i can't watch it anymore they tuned out
49:47right and i have to say i was flabbergasted also i think it was diabolical i do believe that um
49:55on
49:56reflection it is um it's actually time i've won most at task lord sugar no you didn't win them you
50:05didn't
50:05win them you didn't you was on winning teams so so you know what um levi um it is with
50:13uh regret yeah

51:13i can see why you made a decision to exit levi from the process yeah i mean on this particular
51:19task
51:20it was the worst tv selling i've ever seen in this whole process the worst painful anyway kieran i mean
51:28he's a chirpy chappy he chirped a lot but he didn't make the sales the important thing on this task
51:33was to
51:34convert the products to something that the audience wanted and unfortunately he made such
51:38a hash of that mat nobody bought anywhere near the numbers that you said you got from the channel
51:44themselves then the man obviously they sold three bracelets had they instead of chosen the ring and
51:51sold three rings they would have won i mean he was with rothner when they picked it maybe they didn't
51:56engage the buyers as well as they could have um connor well connor's a great talker he emphasized
52:03his ability in front of the camera but he wasn't that good behind the camera unfortunately a lot of
52:08this does rest on his shoulders could you send the three of them in please
52:24so on this task connor you were the project manager you've been a project manager twice right and
52:33regretfully you lost twice hmm why have you brought these two back in then um when i made my selection
52:40i
52:40reviewed the entire process that we've made it here um when it comes to kieran in fairness to kieran kieran
52:45has grabbed the bull by the horns and he's really applied himself but at times he's being called
52:50difficult to work with and disruptive so in terms of looking for your next apprentice i just don't know
52:54if he would be the correct candidate everyone works with people differently correct yeah and that's
52:59that's not my decision to make but that's just my perspective when it came to dan dan was slow to
53:04get
53:07that me personally has well i mean this was a selling task um myself i sold 300 pounds worth
53:12of stuff they sold 60 pounds between both and i think throughout the whole of this process i know
53:16it took me a little while to settle into it but this has been a big learning curve for myself
53:20i've
53:20developed a lot of skills i've learned how to work with people but i wouldn't necessarily usually work
53:24with and i think i've really grown in this process in terms of becoming a better business business
53:28person for yourself lord sugar hmm kieran super salesman sold six been on the losing side five
53:37times yes lord sugar i've put myself forward for a lot of things i haven't shied away i've give
53:44everything my all some it's the team effort not just an individual effort so where i might have small
53:48wins the team may not always win hmm right well here we have a dilemma really i have to make
53:56a decision
53:57lord sugar if i may yes i've been project manager twice on the same task and you won once by
54:05a deep
54:05arguably a one a win yeah yeah if i stay in this process i would like to be the project
54:12manager on
54:12task 10 to prove to you what i can do if i lose we shake hands i walk out all
54:18right that's very
54:19interesting anybody else want to make that offer uh i don't feel the need to you can i can if
54:25i want to
54:26i felt that i over the last eight tasks i don't need another task to prove myself i have given
54:31myself one you lost you know you've lost five you've been in the losing team five times correct and
54:37every time within those tasks the project manager has usually always had a very specific role that
54:41they've wanted me to excel in and at numerous times within this process i have excelled i don't need a
54:45tenth task to beg you to to take me you don't i don't i don't think i do what about
54:51you dan
54:52i feel like over the past nine tasks i've really kind of proven myself in many different ways
54:57um i i do believe that ultimately you've got to decide who you want to go into business with i
55:02know that i've only ever worked for myself i'm an entrepreneur through and through that's all i know
55:05and the industry that i'm in i know it so well so it's whether you think there's great potential
55:10with my business that i've got and if it's something you want to join me on the journey with
55:13hmm i have observed you over the past nine weeks um
55:22then
55:26you're going to remain in this process okay thank you lord sugar um this leaves me you too
