00:02For some, a surfer's dream, but for most, it's best to steer clear.
00:11Angry swells smashing much of the state's shoreline, putting beaches and pools off limits.
00:18Mother Nature, put on a big display.
00:21This morning, Sydney recorded wave heights of 5.7 metres.
00:26Down on the south coast, it was a similar story.
00:29We had a high tide at close to 1.7 metres, with the 4 to 5 metre swells coming in.
00:36The force of that tide threw all dumping sand along pathways and damaging the surf club.
00:42At the moment, we can't open the roller door to get to our essential equipment.
00:46Overnight, gale force winds also whipped up chaos for the south coast and Sydney,
00:51with SES crews answering more than 430 calls for help.
00:56We have seen all type of damage, from trees down to roof damage,
01:00as well as some heavy rain that has caused flooding in homes.
01:06These waves will slowly begin to ease when the low pressure system that brought this wild weather heads further east.
01:12But for now, the swell remains dangerous, with swimmers, boaters and rockfishers urged to stay away from the water.
01:19You can have a lull and then a 100 metre section where it comes flying up the beach into the
01:23car park.
01:24The worst is set to subside by Sunday, ending this latest show of force from Mother Nature.
01:30Of course this season, or anything else, we can't open the water.
01:34I'll also note about the energy of the équipe that you're going to feel and the Înstuf înțe.
01:35I won't beальном, but I'll also note about the anxiety of the wind until the air loads an hour.
01:35So in this area, when the air loads a lot of stress on the air going up the water.
01:36I'm going to drop the air into the air air, and I'm going to put the air away from the
01:36air.
01:36Then I'm going to drop the air to the air and the air when the air goes down.
