00:00Going back to Iran, is it your understanding that they'll convey their
00:04response to the 15-point plan today? And are you looking for anything in particular?
00:08We haven't gotten it yet. We haven't gotten it yet. Look, we've got messages.
00:11We've had an exchange of messages and indications from the Iranian system,
00:15whatever's left of it, about a willingness to talk about certain things.
00:19We're waiting for further clarification about who will we allow, who is it that
00:22we would be talking to, what will we be talking about, and when will we be
00:25talking? I don't have any news for you on that yet. It could happen at any moment.
00:30It could happen today. It could happen tomorrow. We're not predicting it.
00:34We're going to continue with our operations.
00:36What will signal that they're still serious in your own view?
00:39Well, I mean, signal is that they call you and say, these are the people that speak on our behalf
00:43now.
00:43This is what they're allowed to talk about, and this is when we're prepared to need to talk further.
00:47That would be a signal. But in the meantime, we continue with our operation,
00:51a very successful operation. Every single day, Iran gets weaker and weaker.
00:54The Department of War is doing a tremendous job of weakening that regime
00:58and its ability to lash out against its neighbors and threaten the world.
01:01Can I see what the West is giving up to?
01:04What was presented today in terms of holding?
01:06Well, we had a good time. I mean, yeah, I'm happy about there seemed to be agreement in that room
01:10that we need to be ready to do something. I mean, I think...
01:12But is it okay with you guys if they don't come in and do anything that's right after?
01:17Well, we don't... No, no, no, hold on. We're not asking for anybody's help on this war.
01:21The President's been clear. We're not asking for anybody to join the war.
01:24We're not asking for anyone to get involved in the war.
01:26We're not asking for anyone to get involved in this operation. We're not asking for that.
01:29We're not asking any country. We don't need it. We're doing it.
01:32We're doing the job and we're ahead of schedule.
01:34So that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about this.
01:38There are some in the Iranian regime that are going around saying that they want to make the Strait of
01:42Hormuz tolling thing,
01:43they want to make it permanent. That's unacceptable. The whole world should be outraged by it.
01:48We're impacted by it a little bit, but the rest of the world is impacted by it a lot more,
01:52including many of the countries represented today here at the G7.
01:55And so if those countries are deeply impacted by it, all we've said is you guys need to do something
02:00about it.
02:01We'll help you, but you guys are going to need to be ready to do something about it.
02:04Because when this conflict and when this operation ends, if the Iranians decide,
02:08well, now we control the streets of Hormuz and you can only go through here if you pay us and
02:12we allow you to,
02:14that's not only is it illegal under international law and maritime law, it's unacceptable.
02:18And that can't be allowed to exist. And so what we've said is that the countries that are most impacted
02:23by that
02:23should be willing to do something about it, and we'll help them. And that's what I said today,
02:27and I had a good reception to that message.
02:29Did you hear about the foreign minister, the Iranian foreign minister, what he said at the UN Human Rights Commission,
02:37accusing the US and Israel of genocide, essentially?
02:40The Iranian? Yes. Oh, okay. Well, he's an expert in genocide. They're experts in that because, you know,
02:45they sponsor terrorism all over the world, and they've killed thousands and thousands of people.
02:51Look at the Middle East. Look at the Middle East, guys. Every problem in the Middle East tracks back to
02:55Iran.
02:56Hezbollah? Iran. Shia militias that are destroying and threatening Iraq? Iran. Hamas? Iran.
03:03The Houthis? Iran. The Assad when he was in Syria? Iran. The only kind, the way, I mean, everywhere you
03:12turn,
03:12they're behind all of it. They are a destabilizing, dangerous, evil force that had to be dealt with.
03:18They have to be weakened.
