00:00Bengali superstar Jisthu Sen Gupta recently spoke about the stark differences between the Hindi and Bengali film industries in an
00:08exclusive interview.
00:09He highlighted that budget remains the biggest distinguishing factor along with the scale of productions and the time required to
00:17complete films.
00:18The actor also pointed out the growing presence of Bengali talent in Bollywood.
00:323CR? Yeah, so most of them, I would say. Yeah, there are films which are 9CR, 8CRs, but they are
00:41probably 1 in 2 years or 1 in 3 years.
00:46The average Bengali cinema is 3CR. It can be 2.5, it can be 3.5 max. So that's the
00:53only difference.
00:54You know, we complete a film, average, we complete a film within 16 to 18 days with songs, with 3,
01:004 songs in it. We complete it.
01:03And here, we can't even think of, you know, completing. If I see a big budget film, say any Sanjali
01:11Labansali film, one song will take 8 days or 10 days.
01:16We will finish 60% of the film in 10 days. So yeah, that's the only difference, the money part.
01:22Otherwise, you know, the technician we have, there are a lot of Bengalis who are working in Bollywood right now.
01:26There are so many technicians, so many DOPs are there.
01:32Shudeepda is there, who works with Sanjali Labansali and also has been doing work here.
01:37Ophigda, there are so many. You talk about the music directors, Preetam is there.
01:43Shantuna Moitru is there. So there are bhar-bhar ke Bengalis hai yaan pe.
01:48And so yeah, difference, technician-wise, talent-wise, difference kuch nahi hai. It's only the money part.
01:55On the professional front, Jisoo Sen Gupta is said to be a part of Bhoot Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan.
02:02The movie is slated to release on April 10.
