01:07This move aims to protect the transportation sector and key industries from high oil prices in the global market which
01:15directly affects the pockets of Filipinos.
01:35So magandang discovery to.
01:39Kasi po, this will maintain our energy security.
01:42Tsaka yung presyo natin po sa electricity in the affected.
01:45As a result of these negotiations, the first batch of 144,000 barrels of diesel from Japan arrived in the
01:54country last Wednesday.
01:55An additional 850,000 barrels of diesel are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
02:02Aside from Japan, the Philippines also started importing crude oil from Russia since it opened exports to neighboring countries.
02:09Although prices depend on the global market, resulting in high costs at the gas stations, Energy Secretary Garin insists that
02:18the department will not allow the livelihood of Filipinos to be disrupted.
02:48The DOE continues to call on the public to save energy in every way possible to reduce expenses amid rising
02:55oil prices.
