01:19The jury did that and assessed the damages of three million dollars
01:24The jury then at that point answered the question of
01:28what percentage of responsibility is there on the two companies
01:32Based upon the conduct as Kayleigh experienced it
01:39And they put 70% on Meta
01:42They put 30% on YouTube
01:45Then they gave findings that both of them acted in ways that constitute conduct that should be punished
01:54And helping to recognize what the first social media addiction trial is all about
02:02And that's a very serious issue not only here to California and the U.S. but to the world
02:09There are so many families who've been tragically hurt through the addiction of social media
02:16And while we've never been able to talk about the content of what these social media platforms can do
02:23That's protected under the judge's rulings
02:26We have been able to talk about the features
02:29And we've sent a message with this
02:32That you will be held accountable for the features
02:35And regardless of whether the children are getting sent pornographic pictures
02:40And regardless of whether they're being sexploitated
02:43And regardless of those types of issues
02:46Just because of the features alone that drive addiction
02:50These companies can be held accountable
02:53That's a huge message for these companies
02:56That's a huge message for these companies
03:13I'm kind of out of I think we're all out of out of words to express what we
03:18feel
03:18And being in that courtroom and hearing those answers from the jury
03:21It's really validated
03:23But a complete validation of what we've been screaming on the top of roofs about for years
03:29This was not a con this was a conscious decision that they made
03:33It was not an accident
03:35And parents are not to blame
03:37That's for sure
03:38They knew the harm
03:41Right
03:41They knew the damage
03:43They assess the risk
03:44And they move forward anyway
03:46So we need to really look at this and understand where we are right now with this law
03:50That's 30 years old
03:52We need to reform it
03:54And we no more excuses anymore
03:55That it's just impossible
03:57Nothing is impossible
03:58And our kids' lives depend on it
04:02And the future of this country depends on it
04:04Because those kids are going to be the ones that are supposed to lead our country
04:07What are we going to do if they can't even think or talk
04:10And so depressed and anxious
04:11I mean come on
04:13Wake up
04:48YouTube
04:50YouTube
