00:05Previously on Southern Hospitality, we let it all hang out in Folly Beach.
00:14But only after Emmy got reined in.
00:17Why did you say that I made you feel unsafe?
00:19Brad, you're scary when you're pissed.
00:22I can come off as like a microaggression.
00:24And for a moment, it felt like the seas were parting.
00:28I'm sorry.
00:29I know I've said some horrible shit to you, and I'm sorry.
00:31Like, I really, um...
00:33I appreciate the apology.
00:36Meanwhile, Justin learned just how fast word travels in Charleston.
00:40George.
00:41Was it Mia?
00:43Jordan.
00:44She was like, I heard you try to get with Mia.
00:46And I was like, ah, you got me?
00:49But it was Grace who had some choice words for me.
00:52Get out of here.
00:53Shut the fuck up.
00:54Way to tell me that I needed to wear pajamas.
00:57Here it is not a risk to cool friends.
00:59All over a f***ing nightgown.
01:11Great.
01:12I really need to be quiet before I say something I'm not supposed to say.
01:15So let me just stop talking right now.
01:23Oh my god.
01:25Michael is out of here.
01:27Y'all are doing too much.
01:28I'm ready to play.
01:28Let's explain the game.
01:30We're gonna go bobbing for penises.
01:34Slash bobbing for cucumbers.
01:37I can't get it.
01:38I can't even.
01:39Wow.
01:42Oh my god.
01:45That's a big one.
01:46I'm used to having big things in my mouth anyway.
01:51And don't act so innocent.
01:53Because you all do it too.
01:56Some of these cucumbers have been on our penises.
01:59Yeah.
01:59Sorry.
02:01I need a smaller one.
02:03You think I should get bigger shorts?
02:05Now this hurts.
02:06Did you wash the cucumbers that have been in yours to TJ's pants?
02:11No.
02:13So the rule of the game is somebody has to answer a hard-hitting question.
02:17If you don't be like answering the question, you can bob for the cucumber.
02:20Why is the water black?
02:22Isn't that your thing?
02:26TJ, what's the name of the last person you had sex with?
02:31Tell us.
02:33No, I'm just gonna do it.
02:35Oh, y'all, he was gonna do it anyway, sure.
02:38It's been 16 months since I've had sex.
02:40So no, I don't remember the guy's name.
02:42You look good, TJ.
02:43You look good.
02:45Yeah.
02:46Oh my god.
02:48Yes, yes.
02:49Yeah.
02:51I would watch you on Gayport.
02:55Who's next?
02:56Who's next?
02:57Molly.
02:58When's the last time you hooked up with Bailey?
03:02Wednesday.
03:03No.
03:05Today's Wednesday.
03:07Oh my god, you're in it!
03:11There you go.
03:12Yes, Jordan.
03:13When is the last time you had sex with Justin?
03:17It was like Thursday, probably.
03:20Damn.
03:21You can still go bobbing.
03:22Your hair, wait.
03:23Hold her hair.
03:24Hold her hair.
03:27Hold her hair.
03:29Hold her hair.
03:30Hold her hair.
03:31Hold her hair.
03:32Go, Mia.
03:33I'll go.
03:34Did you say yes to going on a date with Justin and why?
03:38I said yes initially, and why, because...
03:43Did you think about me?
03:45No.
03:48I am not friends with Jordan.
03:49I barely know her.
03:51Like, I literally just got out of a relationship, so hot guy in front of me.
03:56I'm not thinking about you.
03:57I'm sorry.
03:58I'm sorry.
03:59But also he said Marble and Finn, and Marble and Finn, that's my favorite place to go.
04:02That was my favorite restaurant.
04:09Well, that's why I said yes, but then I canceled it because I'm not into him.
04:16I couldn't imagine being on a date with him and, like, looking across from him and being, like, I'm actually
04:18into this.
04:20So, that's why I canceled, and yeah.
04:24So, I actually rain-checked my date with Justin, but his whole situation with Jordan here is giving baby mama
04:29drama without the baby.
04:31It's a bit too messy for me, and I just kind of want to leave it where it lies.
04:35All right.
04:36Girl, you should have known better.
04:37I'm also, like, you can't get upset.
04:39I'm not upset about him asking me out on a date.
04:42Like, that's not my issue.
04:43But you're upset right now.
04:44I'm really upset right now.
04:45He's a liar.
04:46Jordan can't get mad because she knows that Justin links up with other girls.
04:50She's at this man's house every single night.
04:52They have a relationship.
04:54He has a toothbrush for her.
04:56Like, it's just up.
04:59All right, here we go.
05:01There we go.
05:01Go for the curve line.
05:03Go for the curve line.
05:08That is so funny.
05:10Who's next?
05:10Who's next?
05:11Link.
05:11Link, question.
05:12Whose team are you on more?
05:15Brad's or Emmy's?
05:16Emmys.
05:17Oh.
05:18Oh.
05:19What?
05:19No hesitation.
05:21I'm gone.
05:23Why is everybody so shocked?
05:26Like, literally, Brad friendzoned me.
05:29It's like, I'm going to keep getting to know you.
05:31Okay.
05:31But more is like a friendship kind of way.
05:35Oh.
05:36And then he made out with me.
05:40And then he got a girlfriend.
05:42And so, obviously, I would choose Emmy.
05:45Like, huh?
05:46Eat a cucumber.
05:48Get in there.
05:50Oh, that was an easy one.
05:54You're straight as hell.
05:56Oh, wow.
05:57All right, Grace.
05:58Go.
05:59Hell, go.
05:59I'm not doing that.
06:00Grace.
06:01Come on.
06:02Let's go, Grace.
06:03I'm not comfortable doing that.
06:05You got to participate in the defense.
06:06I don't think it's appropriate.
06:07Sorry.
06:09Grace Lily does not get on our knees to bop her cucumbers.
06:12Come on.
06:13I get on my knees for God.
06:17All right, Maddie, your turn.
06:18I go home?
06:19No.
06:19Yes.
06:20Let's go, Maddie.
06:20No.
06:21Are you sure, Maddie, you want to do this?
06:23I'm sure.
06:24These are gluten-free.
06:25Yes.
06:25Come on.
06:27Maddie Reese, have you Joan that?
06:31Oh, my God.
06:35What?
06:37Why?
06:38Because I have a penis?
06:39I mean, he likes it in the butt, right?
06:44No.
06:45I just thought I'd ask.
06:47She's got a heat on.
06:49She's coming for me.
06:50No, that's a real question.
06:51No, you've been coming for me since the moment I arrived here.
06:54It's super clear that Grace is just trying to embarrass me,
06:59and I'm over it.
07:00That was a real question.
07:01But she's going to ask you a question.
07:02I thought TJ and Joe hooked up.
07:06What?
07:07What?
07:09Grace, if I was her, I would never talk to your ass again.
07:11That's what TJ said.
07:12It's not true.
07:13So I thought that that was, like, a real question.
07:17God damn it, Grace.
07:18I've never talked to Grace about Joe and myself.
07:22I slept in your bed.
07:23I, like, touched you.
07:25And since then, people are like, oh, like, we heard from TJ that you're a gay.
07:30I'm finally in a better place with Joe and Maddie, and this is the last thing I want.
07:34You took it way too far.
07:37You act like this, and you're like, why doesn't anybody call me or text me and want me to do
07:41anything?
07:41That's who I am.
07:42Take a f***ing joke.
07:43We're playing a stupid f***ing game.
07:45I say one wrong thing.
07:47I'm just crucified, and I'm f***ing, like, Jesus Christ.
07:50And you know what?
07:51I think the biggest reason why I relate to that man so much is because he was human.
07:57You wonder why people don't invite you anywhere?
07:59It's because of s*** like that.
08:00And your f***ing attitude that you have is f***ing crazy.
08:04And for you to look at her and say some crazy-ass, hurtful s*** like that is f***ing wild.
08:08You're f***ing crazy, bitch.
08:09I thought that was a legit question.
08:11No, that's not a legit question.
08:13That's not a legit question.
08:13They didn't.
08:14Can you know that?
08:15They didn't know that.
08:16You do know that.
08:17You do know that.
08:17You do know that.
08:18You do know that.
08:18TJ said that, though.
08:19TJ has never said that.
08:21You do know that.
08:22Get her out of my f***ing face.
08:23I'm going to f***ing punch her in the head.
08:24Even though Maddie and I are not the best of friends, this is wrong.
08:28And I know right from wrong.
08:29I think that you came in here and were off the bat disrespectful to me.
08:34You then created a really awkward environment for everyone in here.
08:37You then came for Maddie.
08:38Now, I think it's time for you to leave.
08:43Okay.
08:44I understand.
08:44It's okay.
08:46Thank you for inviting me.
08:47I appreciate it.
08:49No.
08:50Y'all, this is a girls' night.
08:55Um.
08:57My phone's right behind you.
09:00Do you mind if he meets me?
09:02Over here.
09:03Which one?
09:04Which one?
09:05I was right over here.
09:07It's gone.
09:08Yeah.
09:10I think it, like, slid in between.
09:12It's right here.
09:13Thank you so much.
09:14Appreciate it.
09:17Okay.
09:18Coming through.
09:19Coming through.
09:20Coming through.
09:22Coming through.
09:22Coming through.
09:33Are you good?
09:34I'm just exhausted.
09:36Maddie, you should have been exhausted last year in Vegas, bitch.
09:39I've been telling you.
09:39You are so fake.
09:42She's had your bad.
09:43No, she has not had my bad.
09:45You have?
09:45Yes, she has.
09:46The way that you are speaking to her right now can actually bring me to tears, which is
09:49very difficult.
09:51No, I know.
09:52It's embarrassing that I'm the one that's keeping her around, and then she constantly will implode
09:59on me.
10:00I feel like she constantly hurts me and goes to bed at night, like, thinking she's, like,
10:07holier than thou.
10:08Time has proven over and over and over again that maybe we're not meant to be friends.
10:13Thank you, guys, for coming.
10:31Hey, Mom.
10:33Hey, baby.
10:34How are you?
10:35I'm good.
10:36Look at me.
10:37Are you drinking water?
10:40Not as of recently.
10:42It's been more of the liquor.
10:44Oh.
10:45Sorry.
10:46Honey.
10:46I know.
10:47Please make sure you're drinking enough water, honey.
10:49It's so hot in Charleston.
10:51You need to make sure you're, like, hydrating extra.
10:54It's everything.
10:55I will.
10:55I will.
10:57Me and my mom are tight.
10:58I honestly call her for every little minor detail.
11:02She's so smart.
11:03She is an activist.
11:05She is everything I want to be when I get older.
11:08So what else is going on?
11:10I spoke to dad the other day.
11:13Yeah?
11:14Yeah.
11:15It's still kind of, like, we don't talk every day.
11:21Oh.
11:22Yeah.
11:23Me and my dad went from talking on the phone multiple times a day, every single day, to a clear
11:31silence.
11:31I think part of that reason is he wasn't able to open his eyes to the idea of me liking
11:39girls, let alone sharing that to the public eye.
11:43Like, when I went on a date on camera, I've known Shelby since I was, like, 16 or 17.
11:51We started off as friends, and then we just kind of started making out one day.
11:56And, like, it felt so comfortable around her.
11:59She was a lot of my sexual awakening.
12:02I think it was hard for him to take that.
12:04To send me a message talking about how, like, I'm, like, disrespectful and have no respect for anybody and, like,
12:13all this stuff.
12:14He made me feel like I killed somebody.
12:22There's a lot of status quo when it comes to black, southern, generational wealth.
12:28My great-grandparents were millionaires starting from the 1930s.
12:32Like, there's a school named after my great-grandfather.
12:35My dad cares so much about family image and how we are perceived because he had to.
12:41And so there is things that I have to uphold, you know, presenting myself in a certain light.
13:01Oh, wait.
13:02Michaels is trying to call me.
13:03Let me decline him right quick.
13:06Tell Michaels hello.
13:07I'd rather talk to him.
13:09I'm just pleased.
13:10Well, anyway, if you're waiting for some long, drawn-out apology, you need to manage your expectations because that's just
13:19not the person that he is.
13:20But he still loves you.
13:22I know.
13:23I know he still loves me, and I love him so much.
13:25You know, when you become an adult, you get to kind of dictate the type of relationship you want with
13:31your parents.
13:32And the flip side of that is your parents get to dictate the type of relationship they want with you.
13:37Yeah.
13:46Is that the dragon fruits?
13:48Yeah, can you make me a tea?
13:50Of course.
13:53Wow.
13:54It's a nice day.
13:55So nice.
13:56I did not have a nice night, though.
13:58I'll tell you what.
13:59Thanks to Grace, have you reached out at all?
14:00Have you texted her?
14:02Not today.
14:03Like, I try to keep her a part of this group, and then she just embarrasses me, pretty much insinuating
14:09that I peg you, which is, like, crazy.
14:12That's, like, pretty up.
14:14I almost want to laugh, but that's just, like, clearly a jab to, like, hurt you and why is she
14:19trying to hurt you.
14:20I don't know if it's jealousy or she has, like, some resentment towards you.
14:23You do a million things for her, and all she does is bring you down.
14:27That's not a friendship.
14:27It's like a toxic relationship where it's, like, she can hurt me over and over and over again.
14:32I'm just going to forgive her, and I can't do it anymore.
14:37I'm, like...
14:38Yeah.
14:39It's, like, training me.
14:41Like, there's something that we're not talking about that's the reason for why I stick around as a friend.
14:49And it's something that I have so much empathy for Grace and what she's going through because I can relate
14:57to it.
14:57And I never wanted her to be alone or, God forbid, something happens and I miss that call or something
15:05like that has always been my biggest fear.
15:08And, like, this is what goes on with people that are struggling with substance abuse.
15:19Everything that we're doing and you're doing right now as a friend is clearly not working.
15:24The selfless thing to do is to let her go and hopefully she'll change and stop hurting the people she
15:31loves the most.
15:32I can't seem to help, so maybe I'm not the person to help, and that's a hard pill to swallow.
15:40You've had a hard year, too.
15:41It's okay to admit that you don't have the energy and, like, the support to give her right now.
15:46I wish we were in the position where we had to cut her off, but, like, clearly that's the only
15:50logical thing to do at this point.
16:11All righty, happy Sunday.
16:14Woo!
16:15It's going to be a fun Sunday.
16:17The weather is very cool outside.
16:19Yes.
16:20It's, um, yeah.
16:22All righty, let's get set up.
16:24Let's get moving.
16:26Maddie, play some tunes.
16:27Yeah.
16:28Oh, yeah.
16:28Get the table set up.
16:30Let's go, let's go, let's go.
16:31Hello.
16:34Hi.
16:38It's so hard.
16:39I know, that's what you have to push.
16:40Okay, go.
16:41Oh, no, I'm sorry.
16:47Hi, ladies, how are you guys doing?
16:51Me and you are going to make some juices.
16:54We'll line this last one up.
16:55You know how busy Sundays get.
16:57They won't win a smoothie.
16:58I need some coffee to wake me up.
17:02How are you ladies doing?
17:04Good?
17:04You guys need anything?
17:05Yes, good.
17:06All righty, guys.
17:08We have some chores.
17:09Cheers, ladies.
17:11Cheers.
17:18I think I'm going to say something to Emi today.
17:21About what?
17:23About running into her at the event and how she went mute on me and Julia.
17:26Oh, my God.
17:27Yes.
17:28Just the other night, Julia and I go to this influencer event at one of our favorite restaurants
17:32in town.
17:33We see Emi.
17:34She greets us.
17:34She says hello.
17:35It's good.
17:36Like, everything's fine.
17:37And then about five minutes later, Will walks in.
17:41All of a sudden, Emi completely shifts.
17:43As we're leaving the event, we look at Emi, doesn't even make eye contact with us.
17:47I thought we were in a better place.
17:49I thought we were working towards something better.
17:51And now it just feels like when you're by yourself, you're able to move forward.
17:54But the second that your fiancee comes around, everything changes.
17:57For me, it's like, do you really want to be friends?
18:00Is that something you're actually interested in?
18:02Yeah.
18:03I don't know.
18:04It just feels very fake.
18:05Right?
18:05Like, it feels performative with the whole crying and everything.
18:08Yeah.
18:09I don't know.
18:10It just doesn't feel real.
18:11Because if the apology is genuine, then why are you ignoring me at the event?
18:16I see what you're saying.
18:17I mean, I asked her if I was like,
18:20are you making amends because you think you feel bad?
18:22Like, you think you f***ed up that situation?
18:24She's like, I feel like if I don't make amends with Brad and TJ,
18:27they're going to ruin my f***ing life.
18:29That's what she said?
18:30Yeah.
18:32I was best friends with them, and I've seen what Brad has done when his feelings are hurt.
18:37Like, I've seen how TJ's reacted to Joe.
18:39So it gives me anxiety because I'm like, all right,
18:42if they all put their heads together, they could really try and f*** my life.
18:45Yeah.
18:45What I've learned is just saying, I'm sorry.
18:47I will do better.
18:49There you go.
18:51So.
18:53Did I just get played?
18:55Like, there's not one second where you've been real to me.
18:58Everything was just an act.
19:00You were supposed to be a groomsman.
19:02I'm sorry, I'm crying.
19:03Are you serious?
19:04Yeah, it is sad.
19:04She's going to be a groomsman.
19:05I think that it's...
19:06I'm sorry.
19:07I'm sorry.
19:08I know I said some horrible s*** about you, and I'm sorry.
19:10I'm sorry I hurt your feelings.
19:12Like, I really, um...
19:14Your apology doesn't mean s***.
19:16Everything you said is all bull s***.
19:18Yeah.
19:18Everything you said is all bull s***.
19:20F*** you.
19:21I'm pissed.
19:33I realized I went too far when I have not heard from Maddie for a few days, which isn't
19:38really normal.
19:39Typically, we talk every day.
19:41But it holds me accountable, and I need to be held accountable.
19:45Maddie is the only one that knows what I struggle with.
19:48And I just want to be better for myself and for the people around me, and I know that
19:53I can't work on it by myself forever.
19:59Hi.
20:00Hello.
20:00Grace.
20:01How are you?
20:01I'm Grace.
20:02Nice to meet you.
20:03Nice to meet you.
20:03Isaac?
20:03That's me.
20:04Pleasure to meet you.
20:05Take a seat.
20:05Nice to meet you, too.
20:06Thank you for having me.
20:07Yeah.
20:07Thanks for coming in.
20:08Thanks for coming down to the office.
20:10How's your day going?
20:12It's going.
20:13It's going.
20:14Yeah.
20:14You know?
20:15It's life.
20:16It's life.
20:18What's going on today?
20:20I'm definitely anxious to meet with you.
20:23Okay.
20:23Totally.
20:23This is the first time that I've spoke to anyone about, like, my struggles and the things
20:29that I've gone through in my life.
20:30And, um, but I feel like this is needed.
20:34It's been two and a half, three years that, you know, I've been going through what I'm going
20:39through right now, and I've been getting better, but I think it's important that I talk to
20:44someone.
20:45And you're the first person, Isaac, that I've spoke to, so.
20:48Well, I'm honored to be that person.
20:49Uh, it's not easy.
20:50Like, it's never easy for someone sitting in that chair to, like, come in and talk about
20:54and spill the guts and spill the dirty details about, like, why they're here.
20:57Uh, I think a hard thing is, is that nobody ever calls me on their best day.
21:00Like, it's never, like, something great that's going on that makes them reach out.
21:04But what's going to give me the best way to help you is to get a little bit of history.
21:07So tell me a little bit about why you're sitting in that chair today.
21:13Okay.
21:14So, I don't mean to laugh and smile.
21:17I think I just do it out of nervousness, to be honest with you.
21:19So, um, two years ago, um, I started to use ketamine a lot.
21:26Um, I had a prescription for it.
21:28Kind of helped me out of my depression.
21:30And there were days where I wouldn't use it.
21:33And there were days where I would use too much of it.
21:34Um, and where I have indulged.
21:38And unfortunately, I lost a really good friend just recently that was using the same batch
21:42of ketamine that I was using.
21:45So, that was really difficult for me because he was a really great person.
21:50And so, that is also what's really scary.
21:52Right.
21:52Because that could have been me at the end of the day, you know?
21:56Right.
21:56So.
21:58You're lucky.
21:59Yeah.
21:59You're lucky it wasn't.
22:00I think when we have experiences like that where we lose, like, such a close friend or it's
22:04a position that I could have just as easily been in.
22:07Like, the big thing that I think about is, like, what type of, like, charge and responsibility
22:11are you going to take with that now?
22:13Because you have a new lease on life.
22:15Like, what do we do with a new lease on life?
22:17Like, we take advantage.
22:18Yeah.
22:18This is something that I've been holding on to for some time.
22:22I've always looked at myself as such a strong woman.
22:27And I've gone through so much and I've always made it out, you know?
22:31So, to see, like, myself fall into something that I know is not good for me, it really hurts
22:37me.
22:42And I wish I could go back in time and do things differently, but I can't.
22:47But I think the first step is me admitting it right now.
22:55This is the first time, honestly, I've asked for help.
22:57Like, I have not asked from anyone, not even my parents.
23:00Like, they don't know that we've met today.
23:02Oh, wow.
23:02And I've always considered myself to be strong enough to stop.
23:05And I have had that ability to stop.
23:08But are there times where I feel triggered?
23:11Yeah.
23:11Where I want to?
23:12Absolutely.
23:13And I'm sick of feeling that.
23:14I'm sick of feeling trapped in my own body.
23:16Right.
23:17When I've always been such a free spirit, you know?
23:20Definitely.
23:21I've heard people describe it as they're swimming in the ocean and they have a rock in one hand
23:25and they're trying to paddle with the other.
23:27I feel like, so my saying in life is wavy baby, right?
23:30And wavy baby means, like, in life there are waves.
23:33There are ups and downs.
23:35Sometimes you're going to get hit in and crashed on.
23:37But it's all about getting back up on the board.
23:39And, like, I feel like I'm back on that board.
23:42There are times where I'm like, where am I paddling to?
23:45Yeah.
23:46Where am I going?
23:47Right.
23:47You know, I see so much for my future and the things that I want in my life.
23:51And I want to be married.
23:52I want to have kids.
23:53I want to have my own fashion line.
23:55And I think the one thing that's been stopping me is this addiction from getting that, you
24:00know?
24:00Holding you back?
24:01Yeah.
24:02Well, something big, which this is going to be hard, is how do you talk to your parents
24:05about this?
24:07Well, I live with them and I don't want them to kick me out.
24:10But they won't do that.
24:11I know they won't.
24:12For me and my perspective, like, I think about if you're going to them and saying, hey,
24:17I'm making a positive change, tell them the story about the change that you're making.
24:22Yeah.
24:22You know, like, tell them the story about the future that you're trying to get to.
24:24And, like, this is just part of the process of you getting over there.
24:28And I see myself having a really long, beautiful life.
24:31We all make mistakes.
24:32I've made mistakes.
24:33And I don't mean to hurt others.
24:36This is just a chapter of my book.
24:39And I'm going to get through it.
24:40I've got to focus and love myself a little bit more.
24:43We're going to keep on pushing.
24:48One of the bigger things that I do is help people get in touch with the right resources.
24:52So sometimes that can look like a treatment center.
24:55Sometimes that can look like the right meeting.
24:57Sometimes that can look like the right small group.
25:00Yeah.
25:00And so outpatient.
25:02I think that that seems like a natural way to move forward.
25:04And to go and talk to a center here in town.
25:07And for you to go tour it and see what it looks like.
25:09And see if this is something that you want to commit to for 30 days.
25:13I'm, like, waiting.
25:14I know.
25:15I just want to see, you know, that won't be my first treatment center or my first rehab.
25:20My task for you is to always just, like, keep an open mind.
25:23You know, what I tell people entering recovery is, like, everyone thinks it's just going to be a straight line.
25:27You're just going to go straight up.
25:28It's going to be a wave.
25:29And it's a wave.
25:29It's wavy baby.
25:30It's a wave.
25:30It's a wavy baby.
25:31It's a wavy baby.
25:57It's a wavy baby.
26:04Me.
26:09Wait, you look so cute!
26:11Really?
26:12I was going for casual.
26:14How are you?
26:15I'm good.
26:15How are you?
26:16You don't have to take your shoes off.
26:17I'm not you.
26:18I'm like that.
26:20What's new?
26:21What's going on?
26:22You know, life.
26:22Come on here.
26:23Let's stop by the window.
26:25Are you cold?
26:27A little bit.
26:28Oh!
26:29Oh my gosh!
26:30I haven't been here during the daytime.
26:34Because you're a lady of the night.
26:35I am a lady of the night.
26:38Let me just sit on the IKEA bag.
26:40It's a work in progress.
26:41I'm almost done.
26:42Be proud of me.
26:43No, this looks like clean.
26:45Like the last time I came over here, it was like...
26:48A mess.
26:48There was clothes everywhere.
26:49Yeah, there was clothes everywhere.
26:51Welcome to my crib.
26:52This is nice, dude.
26:54This is perfect countertop height for all your tweaks.
26:58I'm proud of you.
27:00How do you feel after your intervention?
27:02My intervention?
27:03What about Emmy?
27:05Whose team are you on more?
27:07Brad's or Emmys?
27:08Emmys.
27:10Oh.
27:11What?
27:11No hesitation.
27:13Obviously, I trust Emmy more than Brad.
27:17I don't talk to Emmy more.
27:19Like we made out twice.
27:20It's not like we had like a million long relationship.
27:23Like I don't owe him .
27:26But you also have to understand how Brad is feeling too.
27:29Because today I worked out with him.
27:31He said, I thought Lake would have more sympathy for the comment that was made.
27:35The unsafeness?
27:36Yes.
27:36Like the microaggression?
27:37Yes, because he was like truly so upset.
27:40Yeah.
27:40I hear this FaceTime call from Justin.
27:42Yeah.
27:42You're not actually upset.
27:44You said something wrong.
27:45We're not actually sorry.
27:46You're not actually sorry about saying that I make you feel unsafe.
27:49The only reason you're saying it is because you're worried about what I'm going to do to you.
27:52Yeah.
27:52Or how I'm going to ruin your life.
27:53Yeah.
27:53I'm here to vent to you and tell you how I'm feeling because I feel like you would understand.
27:58Oh yeah, for sure.
27:58100%.
27:58I would think that Lake would understand where I'm coming from.
28:01But I don't feel like Lake is condemning anything that Emmy said.
28:04It's like disheartening.
28:07Like that was a moment where he was looking for you and like friendship, whatever you want to call it.
28:11He was looking for you to be like, hey, you can't say that.
28:16Yeah.
28:18I wish he would have came to me right after that moment.
28:22Yeah.
28:22With the microaggression.
28:24I did not.
28:25Like I know that it was.
28:27It's uncomfortable in the moment and there's an audience.
28:29Like I know that it is uncomfortable because I face it every single day myself.
28:32You face it every single day being a person of color in this city, being a person of color in
28:37this world.
28:38This is really pissing me off.
28:40This whole conversation is actually pissing me off.
28:42I'm a person that's always defending people of color.
28:45They're always defending my people, always advocating.
28:50I understand you.
28:52Like, and I understand him when it comes to that.
28:54I'm actually so shocked.
28:56In that instance, I thought me co-signing with Michael saying, yeah, that does sound like a microaggression was enough.
29:05You can't say you were scared because like that can come off as like a microaggression.
29:11She should have said that situation made me feel uncomfortable and left it at that.
29:15Calling him scary is crazy.
29:17You shouldn't say anything about this to Emmy.
29:20That's a conversation Brad wants to have with her.
29:23And out of respect for Brad, just like don't say anything.
29:25But I just wanted to let you know that's how he was feeling.
29:27I don't want to be labeled as this person that is blind to racial problems because I'm the last person
29:34to know that.
29:35Like, you know who my father is?
29:37Yeah.
29:37My father made us read outside of school, read books that were based off of African American heritage, everything.
29:45I know my , trust me.
29:47Yeah.
29:48I know.
29:48So I don't want to be framed as that person that doesn't know about it.
29:51Okay?
29:52Well, you're not being framed as that.
29:53I just want you to be.
29:54That conversation makes me feel like I was framed.
29:58Don't get me heated.
30:00Don't.
30:00I don't know why you're getting heated.
30:01I'm just having a calm conversation with you.
30:03I just want you to be like a little bit more empathetic.
30:06Like, I can be there for you in that sense, but I also want to be there for Emmy as
30:11a friend since.
30:11And so that's why I was comforting her because my closeness now is with her.
30:15I don't talk to him every day.
30:17I talk to her every day.
30:18Brad, he doesn't know who I am.
30:20He doesn't know who my family is.
30:21He doesn't know how I was raised.
30:24I'm a very educated woman.
30:26I come from a very prominent black family that has come from the bottom to the top.
30:31He doesn't know me.
30:42Pull out my card, swipe it and buy.
30:44Cause I got it like that.
30:46Run off the tab, payin' no mind.
30:48Cause I got it like that.
30:49Ella.
30:50Ella.
30:52Hey.
30:54Ella.
30:55Hey.
30:56How are you?
30:57Sweaty as .
30:58No, I'm sweaty as .
31:00Staff is low.
31:01Staff is real low.
31:02Are we gonna get our asses kicked?
31:03Hi, everybody.
31:04Hi, Pookie.
31:05Happy Thursday.
31:07Happy Thursday.
31:08What's going on?
31:09Can you turn for me, please?
31:10I was trying to.
31:11It got .
31:17Okay, tonight we have a few bodies missing, obviously.
31:21Cause Brad is having one of his like events for Body by Brad up the street.
31:25Maddie, Joe and Justin are over there and they will be coming down and working later on tonight.
31:30TJ and Brad will not be working this evening.
31:33But they're gonna bring in a crowd and we're gonna be placing them at table 10.
31:38Good to go?
31:39Yay.
31:41All right, let's get dressed and set up.
31:47Yeah.
31:49Congrats, brother.
31:49Thank you, baby.
31:50Thank you for coming through.
31:52Enjoy, bro.
31:53Enjoy.
31:54Everything look good?
31:55Yeah.
31:55It looks so good.
31:56Okay.
31:56You did good.
31:57Any critiques?
31:58No.
31:58Okay.
31:59I started my personal training company about four years ago now.
32:03And to see the amount of growth that it's experienced in such a short amount of time is nothing short
32:08of amazing.
32:09The event tonight is to not only celebrate how far we've come, but also announce what's next.
32:14Hi.
32:15What's up?
32:16Hello.
32:17Glad you could come.
32:18Congratulations.
32:21Wouldn't miss it for the world.
32:22Thank you, brother.
32:22Appreciate you.
32:23Congratulations.
32:23I appreciate it.
32:25You like the new logo?
32:26Yeah.
32:27Hello.
32:28What up?
32:28What up?
32:28What up?
32:29Look at you.
32:31Oh, yeah.
32:32You thought you ate.
32:34You thought you ate.
32:36That was sad.
32:37Hi, Justin.
32:38Hey, how are you?
32:39Good to see you.
32:40Good to see you.
32:41Hello, lovely.
32:42I turned into a three-step.
32:43I like you.
32:44It was good.
32:44You played it up.
32:45You played it up well.
32:46So me and Rain checked our date, and then ultimately just ended up canceling it altogether.
32:51But, like, as they put the puzzle pieces together, my mind, like, went right back to Jordan.
32:58You can do whatever you want.
32:59Just don't hook up with anyone I know.
33:01Just don't hook up with Mia.
33:03That's all I ask.
33:05Yeah.
33:06But Mia cancelling her date only makes me want her more.
33:09So, uh, challenge accepted.
33:13Justin, beautiful young man.
33:15But I don't want to be juggled with other girls.
33:18Is that so crazy?
33:19I heard bits and pieces about the girls night, and, uh, wasn't good.
33:24I texted Grace the next morning, and I was like, hey, like, are you good?
33:28And her text back was, I'll deal with the consequences.
33:31So she knows that she up.
33:34Honestly, I have a soft spot for Grace Lilly.
33:36She was one of my very first clients.
33:39I'm gonna do one more.
33:40That's one.
33:41One more.
33:41She's shaking.
33:42If the legs aren't shaking.
33:44The booty ain't baking.
33:45I'm sad that she isn't here, but whatever is going on in Grace's life, I just want her to take
33:52the time that she needs to get herself together.
33:55Check, check.
33:56Yeah, it's on.
33:57Hello, hello, hello.
33:59Woo!
34:01I wanted to try and expand my reach beyond Charleston.
34:06And I didn't really know where to start or what that would look like.
34:09I have an amazing girlfriend named Julia, and she had the idea.
34:11She was like, yeah, give us some love.
34:13That's right.
34:14She said, like, why don't you go on tour?
34:17So, we decided to, uh, take it on the road, and we're calling it the Keep It Moving Tour.
34:22I'm gonna show you guys what it looks like right here.
34:24We're gonna do something at home.
34:26We're gonna do something on the road all throughout the southeast.
34:28So, I wanted to start here at these special places.
34:30So, thank you guys so much for supporting me, cheering me on.
34:33It wouldn't be here without y'all.
34:34So, thank you.
34:35Thank you guys so much.
34:37You know, I'm almost 30.
34:38Brad's 28.
34:39But in a lot of ways, I look up to him.
34:41He's a hustler.
34:42He gets s***ed up.
34:42He wakes up before noon.
34:46I see all these other people younger than me, and they're, like, more ahead of me in life.
34:50Age shouldn't matter.
34:51But it matters.
34:52I'm turning 30.
34:53Gotta get my s*** together.
34:55How I'm gonna support you is I'm gonna set up the after party for you.
34:58We gotta get to work.
34:59That's fine.
34:59Get to work.
35:00No worries.
35:01I want to work so that you guys can celebrate.
35:03But I was not gonna miss this.
35:04You're good to go, baby.
35:05I'll see you later.
35:06I'm gonna come party.
35:07You're coming with me?
35:08Yeah, yeah.
35:12Are y'all excited to work?
35:13Oh, my God.
35:14Yeah.
35:20What's up?
35:21Hey, brother.
35:23Hi.
35:23Oh, golly.
35:25How was Brad's event?
35:26It was good.
35:26It was packed.
35:27The capacity's only 93 people.
35:31Okay, wait.
35:32I'm gonna go change in here.
35:33I'll see you guys in a few.
35:41Let's go.
35:42Hello, hello.
35:44Hey, y'all.
35:44Hello.
35:45How are we?
35:46How are we doing?
35:46Hello, hello.
35:47Good to see you guys.
35:48How are we doing?
35:49Y'all on the table?
35:51Hi.
35:52You miss me?
35:58What?
36:02Yeah, I want my bottles first, though.
36:04Okay, okay.
36:05I did not sleep last night.
36:07I could not think about anything else but this because of how important it is.
36:12I don't know what I'm saying going into it, but I'm just gonna speak from my heart.
36:16I talked to her yesterday.
36:18She, like, came over and, like, she just wants to talk to you and, like, clear it out.
36:23Okay, we'll see.
36:31Hi.
36:33Hello.
36:34Thank God for the AC.
36:35Hello.
36:36Let's appreciate it.
36:37Do you guys want me to stay and mediate or do you...?
36:39I don't think we need mediation.
36:42Okay.
36:42I hope we don't.
36:43All right.
36:44Good luck.
36:45I love y'all.
36:47Um, I just wanted to pull you for, like, a little conversation because...
36:53Like, I don't feel like we should even be having to have this conversation in the first place.
37:10I don't feel like we should even be having to have this conversation in the first place.
37:17Well, um...
37:20I was briefly given, like, an outline of what you and Michaels talked about, and I really feel strongly about
37:28that conversation.
37:29And I want...
37:30Which part?
37:30The microaggressions and how you felt like I should have defended you in that moment.
37:37Yeah.
37:38Because, as a black woman, I do understand.
37:41Okay.
37:42And I just wanted to address it to you because I know how important it is.
37:47Yeah.
37:47And I face it every single day of my life.
37:49Yeah.
37:50Um, I have always defended, protected, loved all of the black men in my life.
37:56I have.
37:57But it didn't feel like that.
38:01Okay.
38:02Oh, sorry.
38:02I was just...
38:03I came in here to do my, like, mid-shift haircut.
38:11And I'm out.
38:12See you guys.
38:13Love you.
38:16Um, I am never, ever in a million years ever going to defend a microaggression.
38:23Whenever we had that group conversation at the table at Folly, and we made that comment,
38:29Michael said, that can come off as a microaggression.
38:31I co-signed with him.
38:32But I also was comforting her.
38:34But me comforting her did not discredit your feelings towards that at all.
38:38It did not.
38:39And I'm sorry that you felt that way.
38:40I truly am.
38:41From the deepest pits of my heart, I am.
38:44My brothers, my father, my grandfather, my uncles are all men that look like rad.
38:49And so when Emmy says something like, because you're scary, I felt it.
38:55It makes me feel some type of way.
38:57So I feel bad on that.
38:58I don't think that you would ever hurt Emmy ever.
39:04I'm not gonna hurt anyone.
39:05I'm not gonna hurt any woman ever.
39:07I know.
39:07I know that.
39:08Like, that's why I'm like, okay, she was using...
39:11It just felt like it was...
39:18Ridiculous.
39:22That looked a good bit of what.
39:25What's going on with Lake?
39:26Where is she?
39:28She's in the back.
39:28Talking about her.
39:29I know what she's talking about, right?
39:30About what?
39:30About something about a microaggression.
39:32That she's, like, defending you.
39:34I guess you try to say that, like, what you said to him was a microaggression.
39:37What I said or a version?
39:38Yeah, about what you said.
39:39What'd I say about him?
39:40Something about how you were scared of him.
39:42And how he took it as that you said that because he's black.
39:45You're scared of him.
39:47A microaggression?
39:48Are you on crack?
39:51I don't think Emmy's racist.
39:53She is coming across that way.
39:54I mean, I wouldn't be friends with her if I thought she was racist.
39:56But for me, if you completely remove race from it and someone apologized to you and then later on said,
40:02Oh, well, I'm only apologizing because I'm worried about what they're going to do to you.
40:06It's like a stab in the back.
40:09Addressing this is very important.
40:11It is.
40:12I am on your side when it comes to this.
40:14And that's why I wanted to come to you and apologize.
40:19I appreciate your apology.
40:22This is a side of Lake that I've never seen before.
40:25Beyond this bubbly, fun, easygoing personality, there's a lot of depth there.
40:29I needed to hear her out of her mouth saying like, hey, I got you.
40:34I understand you.
40:34I'm with you.
40:36It means the world to me.
40:38When it comes to Emmy, I will take it upon myself to educate her on this subject.
40:44You don't have to talk to her.
40:45I'm going to take care of it.
40:47Okay.
40:49We're chilling.
40:49It's fine.
40:50I'm a couple fist bump.
40:54Where's Justin?
40:56Hey.
40:57Brad is like going after Lake in the back.
41:00Right now?
41:01Brad's trying to say I'm racist.
41:03When you said to him that you were scared of how he was going to act, he took it as
41:09a microaggression.
41:10Because he texted me, lower your voice, you're dead to me too, bitch.
41:14I'm a grown man.
41:16I feel like Emmy is taking the low road in this situation, being combative about it.
41:22I feel as if she's minimizing Brad's experience.
41:25All you need to do is make right with Brad.
41:28Tell Brad, hopefully, right, that that wasn't your intention.
41:31But here's the thing.
41:33I simply don't think that Emmy knows what a microaggression is.
41:37Yes, I know what a microaggression is.
41:39A microaggression is basically when you make a micro, you make a subjective assumption of someone based off of, you
41:52know, you know.
41:55It's like women are bad drivers.
41:57But I feel like microaggressions are more so made towards people that you don't know.
42:02A microaggression is f***ing crazy.
42:04But that's, it's experience.
42:05You don't, I don't want to talk about, I want to get the f***ing out of here.
42:13Let's get out of here.
42:14Y'all ready to roll?
42:14Next time on Southern Hospitality.
42:17Michael's sleeping with us.
42:18No, me and TJ are going to go in here.
42:20They're making out in that room.
42:21I'm telling you right now.
42:26Julia, you got it!
42:27Looks like she's chasing the pool boy out of the house.
42:29I know.
42:32I'm in a place with Lake where I know I can't trust her and I can't have a friendship with
42:36somebody I can't trust.
42:38Michael's is mad at me.
42:39He said I learned to keep your mouth shut.
