00:00Last year we released World's Part 1, and it was just the beginning.
00:07We can't wait to show people what we've been working on.
00:12New solar systems.
00:17New planets.
00:22New terrain.
00:30New adventures.
00:35No Man's Sky is a game that we all, we all truly love.
01:00Our next update is called World's Part 2.
01:09Across the universe we're adding billions of new solar systems and trillions of new planets.
01:19It allows us to push the boundaries of our engine with new technology.
01:31Introducing new biomes and terrains without changing what people already love about the game.
01:43It's now so far beyond what we ever thought was possible when we started out.
01:54I've been working on a new terrain system for a little while now.
02:01Terrain is more detailed, far more varied, with huge mountains and these massive features.
02:15I'm genuinely at my happiest working on this stuff.
02:23The team is, we're extremely busy on Light No Fire.
02:35Each time we push our engine to new places, though, we have this urge to share it with the community,
02:42with No Man's Sky.
02:45Gas giants are truly epic.
02:49Ten times bigger than our biggest planet.
02:53It's truly sort of end-game stuff to explore them, with huge storms that rage across the surface.
03:03New tech allows oceans that can be several kilometers deep.
03:08A new lighting system makes them look so different, with new caustics, light shafts.
03:15And the deeper that you explore, the darker it gets.
03:27I've had these moments where you're exploring and suddenly some huge creature comes into view.
03:34And it's just incredible.
03:47Every element of our lighting has been rewritten.
03:51Shadows show more details, light flickers through the leaves.
03:54Caves, caves, they're dark and immersive.
04:01Oceans now reflect the clouds and stars to create these beautiful sunsets and night skies.
04:11Water reacts physically to the world around it.
04:14Creatures wade through it.
04:16There's little dipples in the rain.
04:20There's large waves as ships fly overhead.
04:25Sometimes there's these moments where a ship just flies past the still ocean and water ripples underneath and it's just
04:33so peaceful to watch.
04:36In the depths of the ocean and on land, there's these new creatures to discover.
04:41I think we've gone probably weirder than ever before.
04:46When you land on a planet, all the tech, it combines to create an emotion.
04:53That feeling of knowing that no one has ever been on this world before.
04:59I think it's what makes this game really special.
05:04There's tons of new gameplay too.
05:08And there's this huge quest that ties together some strands that we've been building for years.
05:20We've got an expedition that takes you on a tour of all the new worlds we're building.
05:26And it's got some incredible rewards.
05:32This is the ninth year since release and I think we're we're probably doing things the community never thought would
05:39happen.
05:40I honestly can't wait for people to play.
05:43I personally.
05:44I mean 30 years.
05:48Uh-huh.
05:54Uh-huh.
05:56Uh-huh.
05:57So you can.
05:58You.
05:58You.
05:59Here we are.
