00:00I really believe that this policy is foundationally based in science, and it's been led by medical
00:08experts, and it's been done with the best interests of athletes right at the heart.
00:15We know that this topic is sensitive, and we hope that you've all seen the policy,
00:23and we hope that you can read the policy, knowing and understanding that we have taken
00:29into consideration all of our stakeholders from around the world, all the multiple views,
00:35and been able to put together a policy that we can stand firmly behind, with the emphasis
00:43of ensuring that athletes are looked after, that athletes have the ability to compete on
00:54a fair and level playing field.
00:56And that is what I believe we have done.
00:58But at the Olympic Games, as you know, the smallest little bit of an advantage can be
01:05what makes you a gold medalist or not.
01:09And for me, that comes back down to protecting the field of play and to having that field
01:15of play being safe and equal for all.
01:18And I feel that's what this policy does for the Olympic Games and for elite sport at the
01:23Olympic Games.
01:26Many of you know me quite well and were following me along the campaign and know that this was
01:32a priority for me way before President Trump came into his second term.
01:38So, I don't—there's not been any pressure from us to deliver anything from anybody outside
01:45outside of the Olympic movement.
