00:00We've got to get our priorities straight, you know.
00:02It's a very sad thing that's happened with the Fed.
00:06And then just one other thing, very quickly, you have Gavin Newsom in California, a railroad.
00:12That's a hundred times over budget. It's out of control.
00:15It was supposed to go from the middle of San Francisco to the middle of L.A.
00:19Well, now it stops way short of both.
00:23It now goes into areas that nobody ever heard of.
00:26It's billions and billions of dollars over budget.
00:32Years and years, maybe decades late.
00:36And that's why we have a country that has a lot of problems, you know.
00:40We have incompetent people. It's all people.
00:43Think of this. Federal Reserve, I would have had that building done for $25 million.
00:47If I did it, somebody else would have done it for more.
00:52So maybe $50 million.
00:53But you could have done that building, if it was properly done and planned.
00:57You would have done that building for...
00:59I would have done it.
01:01For $25 million, and it would be better.
01:04It would be better.
01:06See this pen right here?
01:07This pen is an interesting example.
01:09It's the same thing.
01:10So this pen is very inexpensive.
01:13But it writes well.
01:14I like it.
01:16But I can't have the pen the way it was.
01:17You know what it is.
01:18I don't want to give too much publicity, but they do treat me with a Sharpie.
01:24So I came here.
01:25They have $1,000 pens.
01:27And, you know, you hand pens out.
01:29You're signing and you're handing them out.
01:30You're handing them to all these people.
01:31Sometimes you have 30, 40 people.
01:33And they were $1,000 apiece.
01:36Beautiful pen.
01:37Ballpoint.
01:38$1,000 who's gold, silver, gorgeous.
01:41But I'm handing it out to kids that don't even know what they're doing.
01:43What is this, mommy?
01:44It's kids.
01:45They're getting a pen for $1,000.
01:47They have no idea what it is.
01:49And I feel guilty because I'm like, you know, by nature, I don't...
01:53You know, it's the government.
01:54I love the government.
01:55Like, I love myself economically.
01:58I want to save money.
01:59So I'm saying, this is crazy.
02:01And it had another problem.
02:02They didn't write well.
02:03So I take it out.
02:05And I saw it and there's no ink.
02:07And I got all you people looking.
02:09And you say, there must be something wrong with Trump.
02:11And I'm signing.
02:13And there's no ink in the pen.
02:14And it costs $1,000.
02:16This one I called the guy.
02:19I said, I'd like to use your pen, but I can't have a gray thing with a big S on
02:23it.
02:24Saying Sharpie.
02:25As I'm signing a trillion dollar airplane contract to buy brand new fighter jets.
02:31Brand new B-2 bombers of which we just ordered plenty.
02:34I can't do that with the press.
02:37Use your pen.
02:37But I like the pen the best.
02:39But I'll sign it.
02:39I could do like Biden did, you know.
02:41Give it to somebody else to sign or an auto pen.
02:44Or maybe sign it separately in another room.
02:46But I can't use your pen.
02:48He said, well, I can make it nicer.
02:49I said, what can you do?
02:50He said, I'll paint it black.
02:52I said, that's nice.
02:53And I can even paint the White House on it, sir, if you like.
02:57In gold.
03:00Almost real gold.
03:01Not bad.
03:02And I can even do your signature, sir.
03:05And by the way, this was not staged.
03:06I just saw the pencil there.
03:08I thought of this as an example.
03:09Of how $25 million spent by me at the Federal Reserve Building would be a better job than $4 billion
03:17that they're spending.
03:21And you know one of the things that Kevin Walsh told me?
03:23He said, they ripped down the nicest building.
03:25I don't know what building they're talking about.
03:27They ripped down a building, Scott, right?
03:29Kevin Walsh said, it's the most beautiful building in Washington.
03:32He said, the most beautiful space.
03:35They ripped it down.
03:36Why did they do that?
03:37I don't know.
03:37Do you know what he's talking about?
03:39Is it true?
03:40Yes, sir.
03:41They ripped it down.
03:42We have a moron at the Fed.
03:47Who wouldn't be lowering interest rates right now?
03:51But I want to thank Jeanine Pirro and Pam and her group for having the courage to bring this suit.
04:00And I believe that the contractor on that job is probably one of the richest men in the country right
04:06now.
04:07I believe that it's not possible to spend that kind of money.
04:13$3 billion, $4 billion.
04:14Nobody knows.
04:15Nobody has any idea what it is.
04:17But it's over $3 billion.
04:19And it's probably going to be over $4 billion by the time they finish.
04:23And it may never get finished.
04:25Unless I take it over.
04:26I'll get it finished.
04:27But it can never be where it was.
04:29It's never going to have those beautiful ceilings.
04:31It's never going to have those incredible walls.
04:33The walls were a foot and a half thick of solid masonry.
04:36They ripped them down for no reason.
04:40And I just give you the story.
04:42And just to finish on this one.
04:44So I told that story to somebody.
04:46He said, yeah, but I mean, but it's not the same thing.
04:48I said, you're right.
04:50This one is better.
04:52It writes.
04:54So the guy said to me, you don't have to pay me, sir.
04:58I'll give him to you for nothing.
04:59I said, no, I don't want that.
05:01Let me pay you.
05:02I want to pay you.
05:03No, sir, you don't have to.
05:04You're the president of the United States.
05:05He was shocked.
05:06The head of Sharpie gets a call.
05:07I don't even know who the hell he is.
05:10He said, is this really the president?
05:13He said, no, you don't have to pay me, sir.
05:14This is such an honor.
05:16I said, nope, I want to pay you.
05:18He said, what would you like to pay?
05:20I said, how about five bucks a pen?
05:21I said, that's all right.
05:23Whatever the hell we agreed to.
05:25Peanuts.
05:26As opposed to a thousand.
05:28And these were thousand dollar pens.
05:30And we were giving them out.
05:32Sometimes, you know, you were there for signings.
05:33I'd have 30, 40 people standing behind me.
05:35I'd give out 40 pens to people.
05:37Then somebody would say, could I have a couple extra?
05:40This way I'd go like this.
05:41Hey, you want five?
05:41Here, take five.
05:43But the bottom line is, they're better pens.
05:46It's a business story.
05:47So for five dollars, it could be zero.
05:50But for five dollars, I'd get a much better pen than for a thousand dollars.
05:55And I could hand them out.
05:56And actually, they become hot as a pistol.
05:58So what can I tell you?
05:59With that, could I give it to please a man who's done a great job at treasuring his people?
06:06Good luck, Scott.
06:09Well, sir, as always, you're a tough act to follow.
06:11But that is very illustrated.
06:13Thank you.
