00:00We just had someone on from the Wall Street Journal talking about how they thought the AL East would fall.
00:07And he had Baltimore fourth.
00:11Yeah.
00:12Okay, so Baltimore, I think, in baseball almost, is the most interesting team to me.
00:17Because they did spend money this offseason.
00:20They were supposed to have this young core that outside of Gunnar Henderson has not popped.
00:30What's your take on them this season?
00:33I think you're exactly right.
00:35I think they're one of the most interesting.
00:36I mean, they beefed up the rotation.
00:39I think Bassett's really good.
00:41They got Shane Boz, who I've always liked from Tampa.
00:44Braddish is back and healthy.
00:46And they've got three, four guys who I think will have bounced back years.
00:49You could take the top four.
00:51I mean, sorry, Kevin Cash, but Tampa Bay's not in the conversation.
00:54You take the other four and throw them against the wall.
00:56And I could make an argument that any combination of those four could be how it plays out.
01:02You know, the worry, my worry in this case is that they all go, you know, 500 against each other,
01:08right?
01:09So then you really got to take care of business outside.
01:11That's why these first couple of weeks are pretty important.
01:13They're National League teams for the Sox.
01:15You got to go.
01:15But I like Baltimore.
01:17I think everybody's underrating Baltimore.
01:20And I think everybody's overrating Toronto now.
01:22I know they almost won it last year, but I think losing Bichette really hurts.
01:26I know Dylan Cease is a good pickup.
01:28But I think long-term, that's an improvement over Bassett.
01:31But I don't know if it's an improvement over Bassett this year, right?
01:34So I think you kind of tread water there.
01:36But, yeah, I think, you know, the Yankees obviously looked good last night.
01:39It's a great division.
01:40Yeah, it's probably the most interesting division in baseball.
01:44Do you – are you of the mind that it's just like in the National League it's just the Dodgers
01:51and that's kind of the way it's going to be?
01:55So you're just playing in the American League ultimately to face the Dodgers in the World Series
02:00and hope something goes wrong for them?
02:02Yeah.
02:03I mean, I feel like the Phillies, you know, I think they're a good team.
02:07And it's a cliche in baseball, right?
02:09Like it's how you play at the end.
02:10And I think the Dodgers were interesting last year because they kind of just, you know,
02:14walked it through the regular season knowing they had to be ready for the end of the year.
02:18Dealt with the injuries, kept the innings down on guys, and just in September said,
02:22okay, here we go.
02:23And they won the World Series.
02:24So they can do that again.
02:25They got so much depth.
02:27You know, they added to it.
02:28They threw Diaz into that mix.
02:30I mean, they just – they're the best team in baseball.
02:34But, you know, an injury or two and they're back to earth.
02:36And, you know, a bad week.
02:38I mean, they almost blew it against the Blue Jays.
02:39You know, they probably should have lost that series.
02:41So, yeah, they're the team to beat, but that's okay.
