00:32Dreamworks animated film na
00:33Forgotten Island. Mapapansin mo
00:36kasi agad ang ilang detalyeng
00:37very Filipino, gaya ng
00:40Jeepney, ang araw na isang
00:42simbolo mula sa Philippine flag
00:43na ginawang porta.
00:46Tampok din ang
00:48Filipino folklore, pagi
00:49mythological creatures.
00:52Ang voice actors ng
00:54main characters na si Riza
00:55at Joe, ang Filipino actress
00:58na si Liza Soberano.
00:59At ang Grammy Award winning film
01:01singer-songwriter na si Her
01:03na nakapanayam online ng GMA
01:05Integrated News.
01:06How proud are you of this film?
01:09We are so immensely proud.
01:11It has always been a dream
01:13of mine to be able to be part
01:15of a project that is uniquely
01:18Filipino and really accurately
01:20represents the Philippines
01:23on a global scale that is also
01:26very universal in theme so that we
01:30could share our culture
01:32and the Philippines
01:35with the rest of the world.
01:37It's pretty incredible.
01:39I'm so proud to be
01:41Filipino and Black.
01:42Filipino culture is so unique
01:44and the fact that we touch on
01:46the folklore is amazing.
01:48You get to experience these
01:50creatures and these stories
01:53that we grew up on.
02:04Tiyak daw na makakarelate din
02:06ang mga batang 90s
02:07dahil tampok din ang era
02:09na ito sa pelikula.
02:11Pinoy na Pinoy din daw ang setting
02:13lalo na ang isang eksena
02:14na karaniwang nakikita
02:16sa Filipino streets and neighborhoods.
02:18That are such an important part
02:20of the setting in the Philippines.
02:24That was one thing.
02:25It was really cool how they
02:27used that as like a symbol
02:29for like, you know, the
02:31Philippine backdrop because I feel
02:32like that is something that
02:34doesn't get highlighted a lot
02:35in Filipino projects.
02:37They tend to like edit it out.
02:39You don't have to go all the way
02:41to the U.S. for school.
02:42It's what my parents want.
02:44Very personal naman
02:45for Liza
02:46the role of Riza
02:47dahil nakakarelate daw siya
02:49sa journey nito.
02:51It is something that
02:51I've lived through
02:52and I know that it's something
02:53that a lot of Filipinos
02:54all over the world
02:55have to go through
02:57because of the whole OFW culture.
02:59And so I'm sure
03:00so many people will be able
03:02to like resonate
03:03with Riza and with Joe,
03:06the Filipinos that
03:07the family that stays behind
03:09and you know,
03:10is longing for their family
03:12that goes overseas.
03:13And so it's very special.
03:17Bilang proud Filipino American,
03:19natutuwa rin daw si her
03:20na maipapakita rin sa animated movie
03:23ang kulturang Pinoy
03:24na mapapanood ng global audience.
03:27The way that it displays
03:29how we treat our family
03:32and how important family is to us
03:35in our gatherings,
03:36the food we eat,
03:37the traditions,
03:38the karaoke,
03:39like all of these things
03:40are so uniquely Filipino,
03:41but I feel like a lot of people
03:43around the globe
03:44will relate to
03:46and identify with
03:47and be able to appreciate
03:48and laugh at as well.
03:51Bukod sa Pinoy culture
03:53and elements,
03:54iikot din daw ang kwento
03:55sa friendship
03:56na very universal
03:58naman ang tema.
03:59Bukod kina Liza at her,
04:01makakasama rin
04:02as voice actor sa movie
04:03ang ilan pang world-class
04:05Filipino talents
04:06gaya nina Lea Salonga,
04:08Manny Jacinto,
04:09Joe Coy
04:10at Dolly De Leon.
04:11Obri Carampel,
04:13updated sa Showbiz Happenings.
