00:00I've not seen my father in over three years. This is not neglect. It's a deliberate persecution
00:04designed to strip a human being of his dignity. Pakistan has expanded its blasphemy laws to
00:09impose life imprisonment, and they've branded citizens as terrorists. They must comply with
00:15UN Working Group's opinion, and they must release my father and all political prisoners.
00:20I'm deeply concerned by the alarming rise of intolerance and persecution in Pakistan.
00:25We are witnessing a systematic campaign to dehumanize and silence specific segments of
00:30the population. My father, Imran Khan, has been in prison for nearly 1,000 days. He's the primary
00:36target of a regime that treats dissent not as political disagreement, but as a grave crime
00:41to be crushed. I've not seen my father in over three years. He's held in a solitary confinement
00:47cell, a cell built for death row inmates. UN experts have warned the inhumane conditions
00:52could amount to torture. This is not neglect. It's a deliberate persecution designed to strip
00:57a human being of his dignity. The intolerance extends beyond him. Pakistan has expanded its
01:03blasphemy laws to impose life imprisonment, and they've branded citizens as terrorists,
01:08fostering a climate of hatred. We asked this council and the OHCHR to urge Pakistan to end
01:14this persecution immediately. They must comply with UN Working Group's opinion, and they must release
01:21my father and all political prisoners. Thank you.
