02:18I have been, as a senator, I have been asking three times for, before Trump got into office,
02:25to see the cartels as terrorists. But narcopoliticians say no, no, no. Why? Because they are financed
02:36by the cartels. In Mexico, we have a very good military and patriot military. And we Mexicans,
02:46not the narcopoliticians. We Mexicans are good people, patriot people. We want to fight,
02:51we want to get our country out of this. But the Mexican cartels are so powerful. I think one of
02:58the most powerful in the world. Just as we saw when, I think two, three weeks ago, they killed
03:05El Mencho from the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación. And when the military killed him, Mexico was for some
03:13days under terrorist attacks. They burned businesses, they took the highways, people had to go to their
03:21homes. You could see no traffic in the streets, because everyone in the whole country, not just in
03:28Mexico. That's how big it is. Everyone was afraid. And then, President Trump held here, this summit
03:39against the cartels. And he didn't invite Mexico. He didn't invite Brazil also. He didn't invite Mexico.
03:45Why? Because the narcopoliticians, the narco-government of Mexico doesn't really want to take over the power
03:52of the cartels. That's the awful truth. That's the real things. That's what's happening in Mexico.
03:58And we Mexicans do want more cooperation with the United States. We know that when our military
04:04forces and American military forces work together in an agreement, we can have better results.
04:13And we can do that, working together as two countries under attack by the same enemy.
04:19As I was telling you that the consul of Miami here is an arco-politician, this is as cynical
04:24as it gets. This consul in Miami is familiar to one sitting senator. This sitting senator,
04:33who sits just a meter from my place, is the godfather of a cartel, La Barredora.
04:39And he is a sitting senator. And everybody in Mexico knows it. And the consul of Miami, I repeat,
04:47because I am astonished that the American officials keep him as consul, knowing, or maybe not knowing,
04:53that he is part of the family of this sitting senator, Adán Augusto López, who is the godfather
04:59of a cartel that operates for him and for the ex-president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador,
05:05and for the actual president. There are governors just in the border, in the south border of the
05:10United States, that are narco-politicians. There are people from the actual president's cabinet,
05:19who are narco-politicians. So that's why I tell you, the Mexican government is just trying to
05:25navigate the Trump administration, hoping that he will leave office, and the cartels will continue to
05:31expand their power, not only over Mexico, but in the United States, and all over the world.
05:36This is a very dangerous situation, and I want to call on your attention, because no one is safe.
05:44I mean, look at this. With the ex-president López Obrador, his chief of office,
05:52he was accused of laundering money for the Sinaloa cartel to buy to China precursors to make fentanyl,
06:04directly from the chief of the office of the ex-president of Mexico.
06:10All of these people are not in jail. All of these people are narco-politicians continue operating.
06:17Oh, I have to say that there are no jails in Mexico. Jails in Mexico are like resorts.
06:24They operate, they have their everything they want, food, drink, prostitutes. They even operate
06:31the criminal organizations from the jails. That's why when El Menjo was killed, I, as a senator,
06:38said that we Mexicans didn't want him killed. We wanted him here in the United States, in an American
06:46jail, and in the American courts, speaking about the information he's got about all the narco-politicians.
06:56That's what we most need for American authorities, not just to cooperate and work with Mexican
07:03authorities, but we need the names to publicly know more names and what they are doing. The situation
07:09is not getting out of hand. The situation is now so dangerous. Last year, I think it was October,
07:17October, there was a politician that was killed on the dead day in the middle of the people in the
07:26parade.
07:26He just held his son, he put back his son on the floor, and then he was killed because he
07:32was constantly
07:35telling what I'm telling you, that we are, that Mexico is run by, that we cannot take the cartels
07:42and the narco-politicians. They are all the same. And I hope, I really hope that the pressure of the
07:52citizens of Mexico can get us, both military forces, Mexican and the Americans, to work together.
08:02Because the problem is not that our armed forces don't want to go after the cartels. That's not
08:09the problem. They do want. They are patriots. The problem is that the commander-in-chief, the president,
08:13has said it loud and clear. She won't declare a war over cartels. She just won't. Even she speaks about
08:23the human rights of the criminals. So this is happening just in the southern flank of the United
08:31States. We, I call you conservatives, to help promote this cooperation. Because this can get worse.
08:40Yes!
09:01Imagínense, o sea, ¿cómo va a representar a México?
