00:27francese e francese.
00:31Come andiamo!
00:32Come andiamo!
00:35Let me show you some of the really cool locomotion abilities
00:38e traversal options that we built to make exploring the world of Chia fun and rewarding.
00:43This is a game about exploration,
00:45so it was super important for us that moving around was intuitive, responsive,
00:49but also deep enough to stay engaging throughout the whole game.
00:52In Chia, you are not bound to design routes and areas.
00:55You can climb any surface organically, even at weird angles,
00:58and carve your own path through the islands.
01:01You can use the terrain's verticality to your advantage by sliding down slopes
01:05and use your glider to cover long distances and break your faults.
01:09Well, sometimes.
01:14Let's dive into one of the game's most unique mechanics,
01:17Chia's soul jumping ability that allows you to take control of any object or animal in the game world.
01:26Using your soul jumping abilities will deplete Chia's soul meter and more intense activities will drain it faster.
01:33You can upgrade it permanently by consuming super rare fruits that will add a slot to your soul meter,
01:37and doing so, as well as progressing through the story, will unlock the full potential of Chia's soul jumping powers.
01:46I'd like to give you a closer look at our fully playable ukulele mechanic,
01:49and how it integrates into the game's open world as well as its story.
01:53In Chia, we wanted every mechanic to feel tactile, analogic, and toy-like in order to emulate the childhood joys
01:59of tinkering with things and making your own fun.
02:01Our ukulele is no exception.
02:04After unlocking this item early in the game, you are free to take it out at any time.
02:14Finally, your ukulele is also a fully functional virtual instrument.
02:18The chord wheel covers an entire musical scale, you can plug the strings,
02:22drum up and down, change the chord qualities and accidentals,
02:27and even bend your notes for an extra flair.
02:33Chia is not an action game at the core, but as the story progresses and the game world evolves accordingly,
02:39you will often find yourself in some dicey situations.
02:41The main enemies in the game are the Maano, mindless minions brought to life by Meavora,
02:46from pieces of wood and fabric.
02:48They will easily incapacitate you if you go within range of their close projectiles.
02:52So the key is to keep your distances, circle around them,
02:54and use your locomotion abilities to stay one step ahead.
02:57Because they're made out of fabric, the only way to get rid of them for good is to burn them
03:01up.
03:03For example, you could store some explosive objects in your backpack,
03:06soak through flammable items,
03:10or improvise on the fly.
03:11It's all up to you.
03:19If you feel like taking a break from the pressure of saving the archipelago,
03:22the game offers many side activities to pass the time.
03:26Try to beat the high score at a shooting range,
03:28take part in time attack races, either on foot, on boat, or as an animal,
03:34or even try to win a diving competition.
03:37Collectibles such as pearls and trinkets can be found all over the island,
03:40and exchanged for cosmetic items for Chia and her boat,
03:44which can also be won by proving your skills on a floor machine.
03:50Time to take a look at their many customization options and various items at your disposal
03:55to make Chia's adventure your own.
03:57Simply exploring the world and progressing through the story will unlock clothing items for Chia,
04:01ranging from simple streetwear to traditional outfits inspired by ukulele name culture.
04:09Chia also carries an old film camera.
04:12Just like the ukulele, we designed this feature as a fun analogue mechanic
04:15that emulates the super rewarding process of shooting on film.
04:20Thank you for following along, we can't wait for you to jump into our world.
