Transcript
00:00My name is Kylie Stubbles and I'm an Ag teacher at Oak Flats High School.
00:03We've been getting our chickens ready for almost six months for the Royal Easter show
00:07and we're a week before the competition so we've just been doing our final grooming and prep,
00:12making our final selection of birds.
00:14Today we've been learning about how to bath our chickens and clean their feet.
00:20We've been checking our eggs for quality, so a few things involved.
00:24In the background you can probably hear the hairdryers going because we've been bathing and drying the birds.
00:27We've been using lots of different things to make sure our birds are nice and healthy for the competition.
00:33So we've been using premium layer pellets, feeding them things like cracked corn, wheat,
00:39lots of greens to try and make our egg yolks nice and golden.
00:42So yeah, lots of things have been going into getting them nice and healthy for the comp.
