00:00A lot gets said about high compression and low compression golf balls but what
00:03is the difference? Let's use this bad boy, put them to the test and find out.
00:30So as you can see we put the 2025 Titleist Pro V1X up against the 2026 Trixon AD333 so we've
00:38got a high compression and low compression golf balls and the data was quite interesting. We saw that with the
00:44wedges the AD333 actually carried a bit further. We got a touch more launch out of it but a drop
00:51of spin hence why we got that carrier slightly more ball speed as well but moving on to the 7
00:56-iron the data was almost identical.
00:58We were about 400 rpms higher with the Titleist Pro V1X over the AD333 but apart from that the peak
01:05height and the carry differences were negligible. When it came to the driver that's where I really noticed the difference.
01:11We saw about a 3mph difference in ball speed and that resulted in about 10 yards more carry with the
01:17Titleist Pro V1X.
01:19Now as you can see using the Rimic compression device here we were about 35 compression data points difference between
01:25the AD333 and the Pro V1X.
01:27I swing the driver around 115mph and obviously not everyone does but I think that shows the importance of going
01:33out testing golf balls and finding a ball that has the right compression for your golf game.
