00:00So it's really interesting, very positive there when it comes to Pakistan.
00:04But with conflicting reports from the U.S. and Iran on prospects for peace,
00:10what challenges could Pakistan actually face in facilitating the successful negotiations?
00:16Because we're hearing different things from different sides.
00:20Well, of course, as they say, that it's easy to start a war, but it's difficult to end the war.
00:29This is not something, an easy task for any country that is mediating for Pakistan as well.
00:39There is a huge mistrust between Iran and the Trump administration.
00:44As you remember, there was talks in the past and that almost there was a consensus claim and counterclaim.
00:53But we saw, followed by a war, an attack on Iran.
00:57So this is one challenge.
00:59Secondly, there are spoilers.
01:02Of course, they want to continue and also pursue some sort of regime change in Iran.
01:08That is another challenge.
01:10The third most important thing is that how best all countries can agree to de-escalation and some sort of
01:19ceasefire.
01:20That convergence is not easy to come by, given the fact that there are different stakeholders have competing agendas right
01:32from Washington to Tel Aviv to Tehran.
01:36So this is why this is not an easy job, of course, for Pakistan as well.
