00:00A woman has been sentenced after sending threatening messages to Labour's former deputy
00:05prime minister and to another victim. Elizabeth Harker admitted leaving abusive voicemails
00:11for Angela Rayner, including threats to kill her and her son. The court heard that the
00:16messages were grossly offensive and completely unprovoked. A judge said that the offences
00:23had a significant impact, leaving victims distressed and anxious. Harker was given an
00:2918-month community order, unpaid work, and was placed onto a 12-month alcohol treatment
00:35programme. She must not have any contact with either victim. The court was told she expressed
00:41remorse and had sought help for alcohol misuse.
