01:29We let's go!
01:29Well if Hugo needs us to get there fast!
01:32Hang on and strap in everyone!
01:36Countdown in three, two, one…
01:40Hella baby!
01:42Totoh!
01:42Whoa!
01:46Hugo's farm ahead!
01:48Stopping in three, two, one!
01:56Whoops. Sorry.
01:59Nature Cat, Squeaks! Daisy, Hale!
02:02Oh, I'm so glad you're here.
02:05What's wrong, Hugo? What are you scared of?
02:09Surely it can't be that scary.
02:11And do you really need to call off the Halloween party tomorrow?
02:15Oh, I really do.
02:17It is so scary.
02:20I think my farm is...
02:23HAUNTED!
02:25Well, that's my cue to leave. Thanks for having me.
02:27See ya! Good episode, everybody.
02:29Not so fast, Scaredy Cat. We gotta help Hugo.
02:33Okay, I'll help you unpack.
02:35Why do you think your farm is haunted?
02:38Oh, it's too scary to tell.
02:41Then there is absolutely no reason to tell us.
02:44Thanks for having us. Take care. Oh, taxi!
02:51You gotta tell us what happened, Hugo.
02:54Okay. So, yesterday I was walking through my pumpkin patch.
03:01I was checking on my pumpkins when I saw it.
03:05Huh? What?
03:06RAAAGH!
03:08What was it, Hugo? What did you see?
03:11Dr. Pumpkinstein's Monster Pumpkin!
03:15Dr. Pumpkinstein's Monster Pumpkin!
03:20It's a pumpkin so scary, so full of goosebumps,
03:25that it gives this goose goosebumps, too!
03:29Oh! Gives you goose bumps!
03:33So I'm leaving!
03:34No more Halloween party!
03:36No more farm!
03:38No more Monster Pumpkins!
03:40Grand idea! Couldn't agree more, Hugo.
03:42We're outta here!
03:43Neither of you is going anywhere!
03:45There's no such thing as Dr. Pumpkinstein's Monster Pumpkin!
03:49Oh, yes, there is.
03:51My best friend Charlie the dog knows a dog
03:53whose best friend's sister's, best friend's cousin,
03:56best friend's brother,
03:57who just so happens to be my best friend Charlie the dog,
04:00saw the Monster Pumpkins!
04:02Look sharp, Hugo!
04:03We must hurry to make the 807 Express train!
04:07I'm not buying any of this.
04:09Yeah, there's gotta be a logical reason!
04:13Did you do anything differently
04:15when you planted pumpkins in the spring?
04:17Hmm.
04:19Well, I planted the seeds I saved from last year.
04:22Orange and white pumpkin seeds,
04:24warty and green squash seeds,
04:26watering the seeds,
04:28watering the seeds,
04:29letting the bees pollinate them?
04:31It's like I always do.
04:33Then it had to be Dr. Pumpkinstein
04:36who created this Monster Pumpkin!
04:38Oh, I think we need to investigate!
04:41I'd like to investigate, whatever that means.
04:43Me too.
04:48Okay, I'll investigate too, but I recommend investigating.
04:54Like this.
04:56I'll stay safe now.
04:57You literally can't get close enough.
04:59Nature detectives, deploy!
05:04Stay close, everyone.
05:06Closer.
05:07Closer!
05:08As I stated in the last scene,
05:10you cannot be close enough.
05:12Where did Hugo say the Monster Pumpkin was?
05:14Right over there!
05:19Go ahead, Hal.
05:20Um, how about Daisy goes first?
05:23Uh, no, it's okay.
05:24After you!
05:26Fine, let the smallest one go first.
05:33Dr. Pumpkinstein's Monster Pumpkin!
05:37Dr. Pumpkinstein's Monster Pumpkin!
05:38Another Monster Pumpkin!
05:39Another one!
05:41And another!
05:43Let's get out of here!
05:44Hello!
05:49I saw it!
05:51The Monster Pumpkin!
05:53You saw it?
05:54Dr. Pumpkinstein's Monster Pumpkin is real!
05:58And not only that, but there are lots of those Monster Pumpkins!
06:02Oh!
06:03Lots of Monster Pumpkins!
06:05I was hoping that it wasn't true,
06:07and I could have my Halloween party tomorrow.
06:10But it looks like not only is that off,
06:12but I for sure have to leave my farm.
06:18Hugo, wait!
06:20You coming with me, Nature Cat?
06:21No, Hugo Goose.
06:23I cannot stand to see a friend sad.
06:25You will not have to leave.
06:27We will rid your farm of these Monster Pumpkins!
06:31For you, for your farm,
06:33for the Halloween party!
06:35Oh, Nature Cat!
06:37How are you going to do that?
06:39I...
06:40...haven't a clue.
06:41I didn't get that far in my thought process.
06:44Oh, I have an idea!
06:46It is I, Dr. Pumpkinstein!
06:49Monster Pumpkins!
06:51Follow me!
06:56Listen up, we're going to scare these Monster Pumpkins away.
07:00Yep, give them a dose of their own medicine!
07:03Ah!
07:07Ah!
07:11Okay, I didn't want to have to do this,
07:14but my interpretive dance title,
07:16Monsters Be Gone,
07:18should get rid of those Monster Pumpkins!
07:26Oh, nothing works.
07:28Looks like those monster pumpkins are here to stay.
07:32And scare.
07:33You know, you were wrong about the monster pumpkins.
07:36And how do you know we are wrong, Squeaks?
07:39I didn't say that.
07:41You didn't?
07:42Well, then how about you, Daisy?
07:44Or Hal?
07:45Nope, that me.
07:46I didn't say anything.
07:47Well, if none of you said it, who did?
07:49Me.
07:51I said it.
07:53No!
07:56Monster pumpkins.
07:57Haunted.
07:58Scarecrows.
08:01I was talking to you.
08:03Me, Bernard.
08:05Oh, it's just a cute little fume mouse named Bernard inside of this scarecrow.
08:10Hi, Bernard.
08:11It's me, Hal.
08:12There is no Dr. Pumpkinstein and no monster pumpkins.
08:15Come on, follow me.
08:18You guys go first.
08:19Right behind you.
08:23Oh, Bernard, be careful.
08:26The monster pumpkin could eat you.
08:27Oh, I can't look.
08:29This is not a monster pumpkin, but it is a surprise pumpkin.
08:33And the reason isn't scary.
08:35No way, no how.
08:36Huh.
08:38I do like not scary surprises.
08:40What is it, Bernard?
08:42Sometimes when a bee is pollinating the flowers of different kinds of plants, the pollen gets
08:47mixed together.
08:48So the pollen from the flower of one kind of squash, like a pumpkin, ends up in the flower
08:54of another kind, like a warty squash.
08:56And it's called cross-pollination.
09:00Oh, I had a feeling you were going to say cross-pollination, even though I've never heard of it before.
09:05Sometimes nothing happens, like when pollen from a cucumber flower ends up in the flower
09:10of a tomato plant.
09:11But when cross-pollination happens between two kinds of plants that are related, like two
09:17kinds of squashes, the seeds that are made will hold characteristics of both plants.
09:23And you end up with something that looks different than what you expect the following year.
09:28So, uh, these aren't monster pumpkins.
09:31Oh, I gotta tell my best friend Charlie the dog, who knows a dog whose best friend's sisters,
09:36best friend's cousins, best friend's brother, who just so happens to be my best friend Charlie
09:40the dog, that there is no Dr. Pumpkinstein.
09:43He's gonna go nuts.
09:45So the monster pumpkin is really just a cross between two different squashes.
09:50Isn't nature amazing?
09:51My mind is completely blown.
09:53Sure is, Squeaks.
09:55And to be honest, I wasn't that scared of these beauties.
09:58Really, I wasn't.
09:59Nope, not at all.
10:03Sorry about that.
10:04All right, we gotta go tell Hugo, before he leaves.
10:07And let's bring one of these pumpkins to show him.
10:15Hugo, don't leave!
10:19Hugo the goose, go ahead and give your goose bumps a rest, for this is not a monster pumpkin!
10:27It's not?
10:27No, it's just a combination of the white pumpkin and the warty squash you planted last year.
10:34How did that happen?
10:36Cross pollination!
10:38Nation, nation!
10:39These pollinated the flowers of white pumpkins with the pollen from the flowers of warty squashes!
10:45Ha, ha, ha!
10:47Cross pollination!
10:49Of course!
10:50You know, I really like these pumpkins.
10:52Warts and all!
10:54I guess, uh, since I grow them, I'm kinda like Dr. Frankenstein!
11:01Ooh!
11:02Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho!
11:03Speaking of Dr. Frankenstein, is the Halloween party back on for tomorrow?
11:08Sure is!
11:10And I have a great idea for these pumpkins!
11:17We're here!
11:19Hugo's farm!
11:21Stopping in three, two, one!
11:27Happy Halloween!
11:30Ooh!
11:32Happy Halloween to you all!
11:34Oh, gorgeous Halloween decorations!
11:37Magazine-worthy, I tell you!
11:39Ah, wait until you see this!
11:42The monster pumpkins!
11:45Oh, they look so spooky and scary, and all at the same time!
11:50I love them!
11:52They give this goose goosebumps!
11:54Yes, they truly are amazing.
11:56But as for being scary, ho, ho, me thinks not.
12:00You're not scared, huh, Major Cat?
12:03It just don't!
12:04Ha, ha, just me, sorry!
12:08Ha, ha, ha!
12:09Works every time!
12:12Nature Catfish!
12:22Nature Statue, form of a majestic bird!
12:27Nature Statue, form of a tall tree!
12:33Oh, Nature Cat!
12:34I have something to add to your nature curiosity list!
12:39Hooray!
12:40I love getting curious about nature!
12:45What is it, Daisy?
12:47Drum roll, please!
12:49Brrrr!
12:50Why is a catfish called a catfish?
12:54All right, question 637, why is a catfish called a catfish?
12:58Wait a minute!
12:58Catfish?
12:59Did you say, catfish?
13:01Did I write, cat, and then fish?
13:06Oh, you wrote, cif-tac, baby!
13:10Oh, wait!
13:11No, you did write catfish.
13:12Oops!
13:14There is such a thing as a catfish?
13:16Why is it called a catfish?
13:18I wonder if we're related.
13:19This is making me so curious!
13:21I have to find out more!
13:22Tell me, Daisy!
13:23Where do we find this amazing fish cat creature?
13:27Well, according to my catfish finder app, one place to find a catfish is a river!
13:33Then I guess it's onward and riverward!
13:41Be on the lookout for a beautiful fish that looks just like me!
13:46I don't think the catfish is going to look just like you, Nature Cat, no offense.
13:52Actually, the catfish looks like this!
13:55Wait!
13:55That fish doesn't look anything like me at all!
13:58How can it be a catfish if it doesn't even look like a cat?
14:01Hmm.
14:02Well, it has some whiskery things like you.
14:05Hey!
14:06Yeah!
14:06A fish with whiskers!
14:08Just like me!
14:09We must be related after all!
14:11Let's look for a fish with whiskers!
14:20Here's one!
14:21Let's see those whiskers, pal!
14:24Uh, no.
14:25No whiskers here.
14:27Oh!
14:28Here's another fish!
14:29No whiskers here either.
14:31There are no whiskers on any of these fish!
14:33These are whiskerless fish!
14:36Where are all the catfish?
14:39Cats are known to be shy sometimes.
14:41Maybe the catfish is shy too.
14:43Oh, it's not because they're shy, Nature Cat!
14:46Catfish are nocturnal!
14:48Well, where are the catfish during the day?
14:50Catfish are bottom dwellers!
14:53So, if we want to find a catfish now, we should go to the bottom!
14:57Well, then it's time for this cat to hit straight for the bottom!
15:03Uh, let's get this out of the way.
15:05Water?
15:05Why does it always have to be water?
15:07Maybe because the catfish is part fish and a fish lives in water?
15:10But it also may be part cat!
15:12And cats do not like water!
15:15Ah, this catfish is very perplexing!
15:17It's time to get to the bottom!
15:19To get to the bottom of this catfish thing!
15:22Is that supposed to be house line?
15:24Oh, wait!
15:25Nature Cat!
15:26Houston has a special piece of nature gear to help us communicate with you underwater!
15:31Houston?
15:32How is Houston going to bring me a piece of tech in the middle of the river?
15:38Ooh, that's some snappy service, Houston!
15:46Let's give it a test!
15:49Now we can see what you see, Nature Cat!
15:52Whoa!
15:54It works!
15:54Now let's get Operation Catfish underway and underwater!
15:59Tally-ho!
16:02Remember, catfish are bottom dwellers, so you have to swim all the way to the bottom of the river!
16:11Downward and bottomward!
16:15Cousin Catfish!
16:17Wherefore art thou, Cousin Catfish?
16:20Ooh, I see something!
16:23Is it the catfish?
16:24Catfish?
16:26No, it's just a crayfish, and I'm a cat, not a cray!
16:30Hi, a crayfish!
16:32It's me, a hail!
16:34Remember, the catfish has whisker thingies, so look for whiskers!
16:38We're looking for whiskers!
16:40Right!
16:44Oh, I see something!
16:47Wait, it has whisker thingies!
16:49I think it might be a catfish!
16:51It's true!
16:53I'm a catfish!
16:54A blue catfish!
16:55Wow!
16:57Wow!
16:57You're so big!
16:59Yup!
16:59I'm huge!
17:01It took me years to grow this size!
17:04Huzzah!
17:05I found you!
17:06Mwah!
17:07I found my cousin the catfish!
17:10Clubsah!
17:11You did find me, but I'm afraid we're not cousins!
17:14But you're a cat and a fish!
17:17We must be cousins!
17:18Nope!
17:19I'm not a cat in any way!
17:21I'm just a fish!
17:22B-b-b-but you have whiskers!
17:24And I have whiskers!
17:26That must mean something!
17:28Oh, you mean these!
17:30These aren't whiskers!
17:32They're called barbels!
17:34Oh, I have barbells too!
17:36Yeah, I'm getting jacked!
17:41Not barbells!
17:43Barbels!
17:43They're these long things around my mouth!
17:46Well, since we're not related, I guess I'll leave you alone, catfish!
17:51The name's Nature Catfish!
17:53Telly Glob Glob!
17:55Wait!
17:56What!
17:57No!
17:58Way!
17:59You're Nature Catfish?!
18:01Yes!
18:02They call me that because I'm curious about nature!
18:05You're never going to believe this, but my name is Nature Cat!
18:09No fish!
18:10Do they call you that because you're curious about nature?
18:15That is exactly why they call me that!
18:18If you're Nature Cat, aren't you curious about what my barbels do?
18:23I am very curious!
18:25Do you use them like I use my whiskers to feel things around you?
18:28Sort of, but not quite!
18:30I use my barbels to sense things around me like you do, but not to feel!
18:35Well, what do you use them for?
18:38I'll show you!
18:39It's almost night time!
18:40Time to start looking for a meal!
18:42Right!
18:43You're nocturnal!
18:44I knew that!
18:46It's true!
18:47Now follow me!
18:48Tally Glob Glob!
18:50Tally Ho!
18:55So, you're looking around for food, or...?
18:58Actually, my eyesight is not that great, so I use smell and taste!
19:02And yum, yummy!
19:04I taste something delicious right now!
19:08Mmm!
19:09But how can you taste something?
19:10You didn't even put anything in your mouth!
19:12That's where my barbels come in!
19:15You can taste with your barbels?
19:17I can!
19:18My barbels are covered in taste buds, so I can taste prey before I even take a bite!
19:23Now if you'll pardon me, it is dinner time!
19:30Oh, my whiskers can't taste a thing!
19:33How about you, Squeaks?
19:34Can your whiskers taste my sandwich?
19:36No, but my mouth can!
19:41Verdict?
19:42Delicious!
19:45That was tasty!
19:47Wait!
19:48I taste something even yummier behind me!
19:52Hold on!
19:52How can you taste something behind you using your barbels?
19:55I don't only taste with my barbels!
19:57I have taste buds all over my body!
20:00So I can sense food all around me!
20:03And I sense...
20:04It's right down here!
20:06Whoop!
20:08Hey!
20:09Look!
20:10More catfish!
20:11Oh, yeah!
20:12Right!
20:13I gotta go now!
20:15Wait!
20:15Where are you going?
20:17Upstream!
20:18But why are you heading upstream?
20:20Follow me and find out, oh curious one!
20:32The catfish is getting away!
20:35Now we won't know why it's swimming upstream!
20:38Oh, yes we will!
20:39Daisy, can you use your catfish finder to locate the catfish?
20:42On it!
20:52Nature Cat, we're right above you!
20:54Alley ho!
21:00Okay, Daisy!
21:02Have you located the catfish?
21:03I got him!
21:04Then what are we waiting for?
21:06Onward and catfishward!
21:12Oh, I see nature catfish!
21:15Man, oh man!
21:17It's amazing that he can swim against the current like that!
21:21Don't lose him, Squeaks!
21:23Don't lose him, Squeaks!
21:23I wanna find out why he's swimming upstream!
21:36Nature Catfish is stopping!
21:38Hold the foam!
21:39What's he stopping for?
21:42Sweeping the bottom with its tail!
21:44Why is it sweeping?
21:46Maybe because it doesn't have a vacuum!
21:49Nature Catfish appears to be making a nest!
21:52A nest?
21:53But a nest for whom?
21:54Maybe a birdfish?
21:59Oh, I see what's going on here!
22:01Nature Catfish is going to mate!
22:03So there will be a new generation of catfish!
22:08Amazing!
22:10Why don't we head back home and give him a little privacy?
22:13There's a little something I have to do first!
22:20Who goes there?
22:22It's me, Nature Cat, Nature Catfish!
22:25Oh, hey, Nature Cat!
22:27Now you see why I swam upstream?
22:30So you can mate and have little catfish!
22:33Yes, indeedy-doo!
22:34You really are a curious nature-loving cat!
22:37What's next for you, Nature Catfish?
22:40After the eggs are laid,
22:41I'll stick around to protect the eggs until they hatch
22:44and the little fry are ready to swim off on their own!
22:48Then I'm gonna get back to the business of eating!
22:50Wow!
22:51Well, you may not be part cat,
22:53but I think you catfish are awesome!
22:55And now I know why you were called catfish!
22:57Because of your barbels!
22:59That looked like your whiskers!
23:00Hey!
23:01I got this for you, Nature Catfish!
23:04We may not be related,
