00:20you can bring a tower down on top of an enemy soldier
00:22you can set up a trap on a bridge
00:24or an enemy convoy
00:25and then destroy it underneath them
00:27it's the ability to turn the world
00:29into a parking lot on top of someone
00:31if there's a whole compound of EDS soldiers
00:34instead of rushing in and trying to take them out
00:36one by one, you can bring the whole building
00:37down on top of their heads and smash them all in one shot
00:40if you want to jump a truck off a cliff
00:42into the second story of an office building
00:43because that's easier than fighting your way through the front door
00:46go for it!
00:47you can actually use this wall, or this building
00:49blow it up in such a way that it
00:51cascades down onto a tank and destroying that tank
00:54our destruction really has
00:56impact on you and the environment
00:57and to be meaningful
01:01the missions in Red Faction Guerrilla
01:03are set up so that
01:04we can allow the player to
01:05have all sorts of destructive experiences
01:07blow off vehicles inside a building
01:10use the construction walker to take down
01:12entire barracks of EDF
01:14things like that
01:15we're trying to get the player introduced
01:17to this whole new idea of destruction
01:19and being able to bring down buildings
01:22create your own cover with buildings
01:24that are there
01:25and use it against the bad guys
01:27and defensively for yourself
01:29you have to use the destructive environment
01:31to your advantage to fight the EDF
01:33you can't just run out there and start shooting
01:35you'll probably lose pretty quickly
01:36as a guerrilla you're setting up ambushes
01:38you're placing remote charges on these walls
01:40and as the patrol comes by you're detonating it
01:42letting the debris fly out, knock these guys down
01:45and then you can run in there and take them out
